This place is great! Lovely view from top of hill and everything inside. The host is great, very accommodating and communicates well. We will definitely be back! This was our second time here. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Paducah area.
4 teacher friends needing a getaway before the school year begins, rented this sweet house for one night. It was exactly what you need for nature, country views, peaceful reflection and laughter.

My daughter, a great friend from San Francisco and myself traveled to Paducah for the AQS quilt show. We could not be happier ! Well appointed cottage and a magnificent view. The shower is amazing! Will definitely stay there again.
This cute little cottage is well off the beaten path. If you are looking for peace, quiet and tranquility you will find it here. The kitchen is well-furnished and the bathroom is a luxury experience. We only spent one night for placement on a road trip, but the experience left us thinking we may return for a longer stay.
I booked Roots and Wings Cottage for a little surprise anniversary weekend getaway with my wife. My wife and I were extremely happy with staying in the cottage. Lovely inside and outside. The view is amazing and the property is very pretty and well kept. We will definitely be back. Our host, Larry is great at responding in a very timely manner and was able to answer any of our questions about the area and the cottage.
Cannot wait to return for another weekend stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this very clean and updated cottage. Judy, the owner, is super sweet. The view over the KY country is wonderful. If you would like more
Privacy, ask for curtains to be put up as there on none on the windows. They did put up some for us. Paducah is near by with good food and on the Ohio River.
Charming and comfortable. Everything we could need was available. Things I wouldnt have expected were there. Two coffee makers, an electric teapot, varieties of tea and a well stocked pantry. Plenty of room to entertain a small group. And showering - a room of it's own! The farm cats were entertaining. The B&W tuxedo was ready to come in and settle down 😆 but we convinced him to stay out. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets - pink moments. Hosts were friendly, accommodating and as attentive as required. Thank you, Judy and Shar!
Fantastic stay. Beautiful surroundings and great accommodations.
We enjoyed staying is such a roomy cottage with all the amenities and quiet location where you could enjoy sitting on the porch watching the deer and birds.
Our stay was amazing. We were there to do some volunteer work and having a quiet place to come home to was much needed. Make sure you take an evening stroll and enjoy the stars!
We rented the cottage for the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by how much room there was. The place was also very clean. Hospitality was wonderful. Larry never missed a call or text. They even brought us food from in town. We will be back for sure!
We really enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful farm house. The house was well kept and had a real home away from home feel. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchen was nice! The only complaint we had was the bed was very squeaky!
The property and cottage were beautiful . . . very warm and inviting. The rental process was made better by great communication from the start. I would definitely rent this property again.
We stayed here for one weekend and we wished we could have stayed longer. The property has an amazing view and a lot of space to move around. I’m looking forward to staying here again.
we had a great time visiting the Bardwell area, the place was perfect for our stay and it had all we needed for our 4 day stay
thanks again Larry and Kim
My husband and I booked three nights for a little retreat, and we absolutely loved our stay. The property was on top of a secluded hill with gorgeous views of the fields and a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The property was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities required. The added bonus included four fuzzy friends - outdoor cats that were the absolute sweetest. They were too shy to approach us, but were so fun to watch from a distance lounging around and cuddling one another. Overall, we highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a retreat!
Quiet place away from city, the cottage was perfect for visiting with family. The front porch the scenery was beautiful, reminded me of how Mt Vernon looks out over the Potomac, the porch was up on a hill and had gorgeous views.
