Lots of charm, comfortable holiday home with magnificent panoramic view of the living room, the master bedroom and the terrace on the sea. Beach access at 50m. Proximity to the dior garden (5 min on foot), access on foot to granville by the flat Gousset (approx 10 min). Very bright house with also terrace facing south garden and not overlooked. 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and separate WC.

Exceptional and breathtaking view, brightness with its multiple orientations, a south-facing garden out of sight, very quiet location and possibility of going to Granville on foot via the magnificent DIOR garden ... Donville Beach as far as possible view.

Wonderfull house

We loved the house with the fantastic view. The beach is very close. Also the town center is in walking distance. The owner is very kindly and speaks excellent English. Excellent WLAN.

Wonderful stay at the sea

We had three terrific weeks in Hélènes house. Everything was as expected and it was lovely to meet her in person. We specifically liked the layout of the house as our teenage son had some space for himself. The view is unique and we loved Donville-les-Bains with its gorgeous beach and the close walking distance to Granville.

Great comfort overlooking the sea

My wife and I spent a week in the apartment with her sister and husband. The apartment was ideal. It seemed larger than described, with the bedrooms in separate areas that provided privacy and roomy, well-appointed common living areas. The large terrace with a fantastic view of the beach was perfect for lounging during the day and our evening cocktails. Short walks to the beach and to the local baker for our morning croissants. Highly recommended.

Fabulous seaside views

Helene was a superb host. Her communication from booking to check in was excellent, and she came to welcome us at the start of our stay and farewell us at the end. The house is beautiful and even better than the pictures, with a fabulous view of the sea, the saltwater lido pool in the bay and the bouchon mussel farm round the bay. The living rooms are spacious, light, and you ah w great views from the front of the house and of course the balcony which runs across the whole front of the house. The spacious garage under the house is another bonus to get your car and kit out of the sun. We strongly recommend Helene and her lovely house - thank you Helene for a wonderful week!

A dream escape

We loved every minute of our two weeks at Helene's house overlooking the Donville-les-Bains beach and dream of returning in a few years. The terrace is heavenly with room for up to six people to eat outside (we ate every meal outside for two weeks). The ocean air fills the house which is on a very quiet street, almost no cars went by. The back garden is charming too. The house is well-equipped and the beds very comfortable. Being able to walk the few minutes down to the glorious beach (with such delicious water for swimming) or into Granville for dinner and shopping, or to the Granville tennis club which gives onto the Christian Dior Museum gardens was marvelous. We didn't need a car the whole two weeks as you can also walk to the shops. Haven't slept so well in years. The best vacation we have ever taken. Thank you Helene.

Sommerurlaub in Granville/Donville-les-Bains

We had decided on this house because the photos already suggested a very nice view over the bay. And we were not disappointed! From the terrace, we could enjoy a final drink almost every day in the setting sun. Due to the unexpected but sometimes very warm temperatures during our stay, we were able to regularly jump into the cooling water, which we could reach by 3 min walk to the beach nearby. Despite the very high tide, there was a swimming pool that could be used at low tide, while at high tide it was completely submerged. The house is old, but there are renovations every year: both the bathroom and the kitchen were completely renovated in 2021/2022. Most of the other rooms had been renovated already before. The rooms left also gradually being upgraded. In addition, all of our questions were answered very quickly by Hélène, the landlady, which we thought was great. We were also able to get to know them personally. She was very courteous and provided us with bed linen and welcomed us with a small gift, for which we would like to say a big thank you again. Due to the location, we were able to make many excursions in the surrounding area: Mont St. Michel, St. Malo, D-Day beaches, Bayeux, La Hague, kayaking, paragliding, cider/pommeaux/calvados manufacture, the islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Sercq or Iles des Chausey or Granville itself were not far away. In Granville there are also typical restaurants as well as the Christian Dior Museum (birthplace), just 15 and 5 minutes walk respectively. We felt very relaxed and can highly recommend the accommodation.

Wir hatten zu Viert einen wunderbaren Urlaub! Perfekte Lage der Unterkunft, keine 3min zu Fuß zum Strand, wenig Verkehr auf der Straße. Die Unterkunft war für uns perfekt! Wir haben jeweils mit 2 Personen in den beiden großen Schlafzimmern in bequemen Betten gelegen. Frühstück mit Blick aus das Meer!! Was will man mehr!? Wir werden definitiv gerne wieder kommen!

Très bel emplacement

Nous avons pu profiter de la région, avec la chance d'avoir du beau temps. La maison est idealement situee, avec un garage pour mettre la voiture a l'abri. Cote pratique, la buanderie avec son seche linge est appreciable car la region est quelque peu humide. La maison est joliment aménagée, tout le necessaire s'y trouve. Nous sommes ravis de notre sejour.

Un séjour parfait dans cette très belle maison bien pensée, bien aménagée bien équipée bien située avec une superbe vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil. Notre hôte nous a rendu visite après nous avoir demandé, et ça a été une agréable rencontre. La ville est accessible à pied et bien animée, avec des bons commerçants, restaurants, les balades en bord de mer agréables.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft am Meer

Die Lage des Hauses ist traumhaft. Direkter Meerblick, ruhige Lage und doch sehr zentral. Supermarkt und viele Lokale in Fußentfernung. Strand nur wenige Gehminuten, tolle Strandbar mit leckeren Cocktails in 15min zu Fuß. Granville mit seinen vielen Möglichkeiten in 25 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Haus ist geräumig, der Blick von Terrasse und Wohnzimmer gigantisch. Die Vermietern freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eigentlich alles perfekt. Bis auf die Garage, die nur für sehr kleine Autos geeignet ist. Aber Parken am Straßenrand in Hausnähe ist auch kein Problem!

Traumhafter Rundum-Meerblick. 5 Minutem zum Strand. Genügend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar (auch Apotheke und Ärzte). Grandville ist sehr schön! Viel kulturelle Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Wasserschuhe fürs Baden sollten nicht vergessen werden, da z.T. Strand steinig. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an die Vermietrein.

Traumhafter Blick

Das Haus liegt fast am Meer, nur eine Straße davon getrennt. Jeden Tag ein wunderbarer Blick. Ruhig gelegen, geräumig, alle da, was man braucht. Granville ist zu Fuß zu erreichen, mit dem Fahrrad allerdings ist der Höhenunterschied viel einfacher zu bewältigen. Es war eine super Woche bei strahlendem Sonnenschein.
