LIVING AREA
The small living area is open to the kitchen. It has a gas fireplace for the colder months (disconnected during summer months). There's one couch and one recliner in the living area to enjoy the large smart TV with cable or log into your own streaming services.

KITCHEN
The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals including all the small appliances like a toaster, blender and crock pot. There's also an ice machine in the pantry so you'll have plenty of ice! All cookware, bakeware, and dishware is stocked as well as cleaning supplies so just pack your food. The coffee pot is a regular drip coffee maker. We'll supply basic coffee supplies.
Outside is the park style BBQ grill. Don't forget your charcoal.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The master off the living room has a queen bed, smart TV, patio doors leading to the hot tub and its own ensuite with a shower.
The second downstairs queen bedroom also has a TV and a back door to the side yard and playset.
The third sleeping area is the open loft. It is accessed via a ship's ladder. You'll find a queen and twin upstairs. That's also where we store plenty of board games for family game night.
If you need to sleep a couple more kids, the sofa in the living area is a pullout sleeper. Linens are provided.

LAUNDRY
A new full size stackable washer and dryer are located in a closet in the second bedroom. We'll leave you laundry detergent and bleach. There's also an iron and ironing board, if needed.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Several restaurants and shops are located a quick 15-minute drive to downtown Broken Bow. Our area also has two golf courses, one at Cedar Creek at the lake and one at Idabel Country Club, both about 25 minutes away.
Up north in Hochatown (about a 20-25 minute drive) you'll find a ton of dining options, hiking, shopping, go carts, rentals for ATVs and jeeps and boats, a petting zoo and safari, fishing guides, bowling and zip lines. There are also several wineries and breweries to visit.
Want to relax? Contact one of our local spas or get an in-cabin massage from one of our area's traveling therapists.
We also have the Red River Museum in Idabel and the wildlife museum in Hochatown.
For longer float options, we have several kayak rentals in our area. One of which is Wild Goose Kayak Rentals, located just a couple minutes from the cabin.

PETS
Kingfisher is pet friendly for up to two dogs with a $100 pet fee. Please don't forget to include your pets in the reservation.

RIVER ACCESS
Yes, you can swim and fish in the river! There are also kayaks for you to use on site.
The water is the perfect depth to enjoy swimming or a floatie! However, the river level does fluctuate depending on the release schedule of the Corp of Engineers. We have no way to predict the water levels. The release is dependent upon the amount of rain we receive and how much electricity needs to be produced. The lowest levels are generally in July and August.

RULES
Please read the rental agreement carefully. It basically states you won’t sue us and the pet fee will be deducted from your security deposit if you don’t pay it. The security deposit is a hold placed on the credit card on file, not an actual charge. It will be released after your check out when no damage is caused to the property. The security deposit for Kingfisher is $300.

We hope to welcome you soon and share our beautiful river and hospitality with you!

Absolutely perfect!

We had the best time staying at River Top cabins in Kingfisher! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We used all the amenities, and enjoyed them all. There’s nothing negative I can say about this place. Can’t wait to try out another one of their cabins next time!

Nothing short of AMAZING!

Our couples trip to Kingfisher Cabin was truly unforgettable. We enjoyed an exceptional experience, as the cabin was beautifully maintained, impeccably clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including linens, appliances, and entertainment options. The tranquil environment enhanced our stay, and we particularly enjoyed fishing right from the cabin. So impressed with our experience, we decided to extend our visit for an additional night. Our host was very responsive and welcoming, ensuring a smooth check-in process without any complications at checkout. We look forward to returning in the future.

Coming back!

We had the best time with cousins at your cabin! The location was perfection, away from all the noise and crowds by the lake. The cabin was spotless, welcoming, easy to find, perfectly nestled in the woods, and the owners were very responsive when contacted before and during our stay! We will come back for sure!!

Spring Break

The property was as listed with great views, thoughtful touches, and lots of activities for family (horseshoes, baggo, kayaking if desired). We appreciated the extra touches like a gift basket, firewood, and plenty of extra towels. Communication with property manager was quick and easy. The property was extremely clean and well kept. Would recommend and stay again.

Beautiful property

Everything about this property delivered as advertised and actually surpassed our expectations. There was nothing missing. Obvious that attention to detail was paid. We usually have to buy something to make the stay more like home. Not this time! Would definitely recommend booking this property.

Best Cabin Ever!

This is our 2nd time staying at Kingfisher! We booked our stay months out for an Oct visit and the weather was perfect! The trees all around were starting to change colors and the water was amazing (a little cold but perfect)! I love this cabin(area) because the water is shallow enough for us to sit on the bank and let the kids just play with no worries! There is so much to do for all age ranges that we never left the cabin! We will definitely be back next year no doubt! Thank you to Dawnisa (property manager) for such great communication too! Love her!

Great Multigenerational Family Trip

Two cabins (we booked both) were great for 4 families within our extended family. From grandparents to teens to little kids it was a great fit. Our favorite part was the common area with the fire pits & cornhole & the FOREST above & RIVER below made everything magical. One of the cabins (Grandview I think) has a breezeway with outdoor TV where we watched scary movies every night. Great communication from owners. It was an affordable but still really cool alternative to the big beach trips we take every year. Easy drive from OKC for us. We enjoyed hiking & kayaking in Beavers Bend (35 min drive but it's so pretty it felt like nothing)... and one day we rented a pontoon boat & swam in the lake half the day. Amazing memory! The river below our cabins was too fast & water too high & dangerous to kayak or swim. But! The Beavers Bend / Broken Bow excursions were so pretty & easy to do, it was fine!

A Real Gem

Our family of 4 adults just returned from a weekend stay at the Kingfisher Cabin. Everything was top notch from the booking process, the amenities, and our stay there. Dawnisa (property manager) was incredibly helpful and immediately responsive any time we had a question. The cabin and grounds were so well appointed and VERY clean. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. There is so much to do on site including, kayaking, horseshoes, corn hole, a fire pit (s'mores supplies and wood included), a charcoal grill, lots of comfortable outdoor seating and board games. We did everything and enjoyed it all! The cabin is beautiful and located in a picturesque setting on the river. It is so quiet and peaceful and incredibly relaxing. We drove to Beavers Bend State Park (30 minutes away) and enjoyed half a day of hiking as well. It is a beautiful park and only cost $10 for a day parking pass. We were only at the cabin 2 nights and enjoyed our time there so much that aside from the hiking trip, we did not explore much of Broken Bow or the surrounding area...we'll save that for next time! Our kids are adults but the cabin would be very child friendly too. Kids would LOVE the loft and there is a fantastic outdoor play set (swings, slide, fort etc). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to come back in the future.

We will definitely do it again....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kingfisher! It was very cozy inside and well kept. There were several dishes, you cancels and other appliances, such as a crockpot available for use. There were several large towels as well. The ensuite bathroom conveniently had a caddy on the wall. It had conditioner, shampoo and body soap in it. The only real issue I had was I could not figure out for the life of me. How to get the hot tub to power on. When I called for assistance, they immediately sent someone over to correct the situation. Other than that our stay was great! We enjoy the kayaks, met a lot of very friendly people on the river. We took a couple of fishing Poles and also had a great time Fishing. Couldn't identify a few of the fish that we caught, but we also caught a catfish! We made smores and drank wine one evening, all compliments of the cabin. We felt really safe being outdoors. There were security lights as well as several string lights, making the night time ambiance beautiful. There was coffee an automatic coffee Maker available for use in the morning, which we thoroughly enjoyed when taking in the a.m. views outside. It was a great time, and as I started this entire review stating, we will most definitely do it again. 🥰

Great Fall Break on the River

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at the cabin. Beds were comfy, cabin and outside was clean, hot tub was great, and kayaks were fun for a paddle on the river. We enjoyed the s’more supplies provided at the fire pit each night. Kids loved the loft and playground area. Can’t wait to come back in summer to enjoy the river more!

Great cabin ever.

We had a wonderful 3-day stay at the Kingfisher Cabin. Our group included four adults, and the space was perfect for all of us. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings made it a relaxing retreat from our daily routines. Fishing at the waterfront was great and added a fun and memorable experience to our stay. We especially appreciated the outdoor area—it was a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend the Kingfisher Cabin to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway.

About the host

Hosted by Mt Fork Management

Host profile image
Hi! We are the property managers for these cabins on the river. We are locals that have lived here our entire lives and hope to help you enjoy our area with the perfect cabin for your getaway to Mt Fork River.

Why they chose this property

Most people will choose either the Kingfisher or the Grandview cabins, which comprise River Top Cabins, due to two unique factors: they are on the water with access to the Mt Fork River and there are very few surrounding cabins.

What makes this property unique

The river decks are what separate River Top Cabins from other rentals. Both cabins have their own decks, allowing swimming, fishing, and kayaking from your cabin with your own private access to the clear river. Both cabins also have their own fire pits and hot tubs. Horseshoe pits have been installed in the common area between the cabins.
