CHARMING INDEPENDENT HOUSE WITH GARDEN. FESTIVAL AND DISCOVERY PROVENCE
Our house is located 10 minutes walk from the historic center. You will love it as we love it. She is full of charm and we feel good. It dates from 1925 but we have added all modern comforts (including air conditioning and Wi-Fi). You will appreciate its calm and its location for your discovery of Avignon and its region. An advantage for our guests: it is very easy to find a free parking spot near our house. For toddlers, we have provided a cot (sheets not provided).
Our cat is called Miss Black; she would be very happy if you fill her plate with kibble and water.

Responsive owners, good space, comfortable and well equipped. For us, the location was not ideal. The surrounding neighborhood was a large development of 4-6 story apartment blocks. No restaurants or cafes nearby. However, an easy walk or tram ride to the city walls, and convenient parking
This is our second long term stay at Martine and Bob’s beautiful 1925 home. They picked us up at the TGV station and quickly got us settled. The house is charming —both vintage in detail but with many modern updates to make it comfortable. The house is particularly well suited to seeing the surrounding areas by car. We also enjoyed many walks into Avignon for lunch or dinner, although some might find the walk a little long (half hour). We like the exercise! The weather, countryside and people are all beautiful and the food is delicious. A great base to explore Provence.

Sunny Provençal Gem
We enjoyed our one month stay at this charming house with its relaxing garden in Avignon. We appreciated the warm welcome by Bob and Martine, who kindly picked us up at the TGV. We also appreciated their ongoing support as they were available by text to answer questions throughout our stay. The house is spacious, quiet, and sunny, and it is packed with vintage charm. It has been carefully updated with a separate shower room, atrium breakfast room, modern kitchen, windows with electric privacy blinds, and comfortable beds. The house is outside the city walls, so the parking is plentiful and free, and access to the highways is easy. The city is an easy 20 minute walk where many museums, restaurants, and scenic views await. Lovely house in a beautiful city.
Exceptional, spacious home just outside Avignon old town!
A wonderful 3 week stay in this lovely home just outside the walls of Avignon old town. I can't say enough about the hosts who were exceptionally kind and informative. The house is fantastic, exactly like the pictures except the garden is even more beautiful. And the cat, Miss Black, who lives in the garden is just as friendly as her owners. The house is very spacious and super well-equipped. The only thing it didn't have was a fan which would be great in the summer as there's no air conditioner in the bedrooms. We bought a fan in town and left it so hopefully it'll be there next year. The overall location in Provence was amazing. We had a car and drove to 14 different towns/villages, all within 1.5 hours of the house. So much to see and every place had its own personality. If you don't have a car, getting to places other then Avignon might be challenging and the walk to the center of Avignon's old town takes about 20 minutes. There's a good bakery, one small grocery store and a couple of pharmacies within 5 minutes walk of the house but there are no restaurants (other than fast food) or cafes nearby. That was a little disappointing as we didn't realize the area was so residential - schools and apartments all around. If you want to see places other than Avignon, I would recommend having a car as it's easy to rent one at the TGV train station and free parking is available on the streets next to the house.
I would highly recommend this home for experiencing all that Provence has to offer.

Beautiful house, convenient location.
Having arrived by TGV, it was a short taxi ride to the house. A charming older house with a lovely interior, we were welcomed with beer and juice on a blisteringly hot day. Perfect for two adults and a 17 year old, an easy 10 minute walk to the city walls, the house was very convenient. Bob and Martine couldn't have been more welcoming.

BEAUTIFUL HOME, TERRIFIC HOSTS
Martine and Robert are excellent hosts. They are warm, welcoming, extremely generous and provided us with beer, wine, eggs, coffee, milk, etc.!
Their home is comfortable and spacious. They have a lovely courtyard. The home is an easy 20 minute walk to central Avignon or you can take a bus from a bus stand 100 meters away. The 2nd bedroom does not have a/c.
Their is a very informative handbook they have prepared to ease your stay. They gave us an excellent and informative tour of their home.
They are easy to reach if one has any questions.
Do not try to drive in central Avignon. Parking is free and safe right outside their home.

Beautiful house a home from home
I and my family had a fantastic time in no small part due to the home owners Bob and Martine who where helpful and friendly from the very start from all the information about Avignon and the surrounding area to the tour around there home showing us how everything worked the house was a short walk (just over 1/2 mile) to the city wall then onward to the city centre full of bar and restaurants and if you fancy a night at home there was a great kitchen and barbecue the house was also air conditioned which was a must in July/August in all a great base to explore Avignon and the surrounding areas
