Beautiful house and perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved the back porch with swing and rocking chair. We relaxed and watched birds, deer and rabbits! The house had everything needed, tastefully decorated and clean.
The Kelleytown General store is a great little getaway with character. The back porch with the swing is a lovely place to sit and relax. The bedroom and closet are spacious and we love the character of the old general store. The snacks and water waiting were a nice touch. The front porch can be a bit noisy from traffic but you don't hear it at all inside. The only complaint was the jacuzzi tub must not have been run recently. When I turned on the jets black flakes shot out into the water. After waiting to fill the tub once I did not try again so I don't know if it was just sediment that needed to clear or would have happened again if I ran it.
We had a wonderful weekend. This property is in a great location, and very tastefully outfitted. The country setting was peaceful and relaxing- yet close to town. Overall - a great experience. I would definitely recommend !
Even though it was Christmas eve when we arrived Gina was quick to respond to our questions. The historic cottage is beautifully furnished and stocked with lots of amenities. I especially appreciated the coffee set up and snacks.
This place is AMAZING and a rich treasure trove of Kelleytown history! The owners made sure we had everything we needed and the place was well stocked and beautifully kept. Thank you for taking such great care of us! We will be back.

Perfect location, perfect stay
I needed a rental convenient to the Georgia Archives so I could spend some time researching. The Country Store looked interesting, was near enough to the Archives and I could not have been more pleasingly surprised! It is immaculate - beautifully appointed with fine design; original wood flooring, shiplap walls, plenty of light and space; comfortable beyond belief! Gina has provided small, thoughtful details that surprise and delight, while appointing the space with all the luxuries of home. The crowning touch is out back: birds, squirrels, fox and deer all welcome you to their sweet domain while you have a sit on the back porch swing.
Located north of McDonough, and south of Atlanta, it is far enough out of the way and close enough to amenities. McDonough is a friendly town with fine restaurants and drinking establishments, strawberry farms and crossroads. It is the perfect location for visitors to Atlanta who want to stay out of the city but be close enough to meander. A sentimental choice for me, it reminded me of my childhood - the perfect place for my visit to the Archives. I will be returning, both for my research, and to stay in the Country Store.
Thanks, Gina, for creating a storybook space, a balance of new and old with extraordinary details that welcome and delight! (Did I mention that I have never had a better night’s sleep?)
