Great stay for extended family get together

This is a beautiful location and the layout of the house lends itself perfectly for extended family get togethers. The view is 100% green mountains with no structures in sight and a clear line of sight to camel’s hump. The hostess clearly communicated and very responsive to any questions.

Great location

Great wooded location and perfect for eating in and enjoying the view. Has it all and is very easy to spend a whole day just around the house. But if you leave, also very convenient to Burly, Stowe and Mad River Valley.

Excellent property, perfect for a large group. We especially enjoyed sitting outside under the gazebo for dinner and on the deck after dark to star gaze. Home is stocked with everything you'd need. Would definitely return.

Excellent home for a family getaway...

Our extended family of 10 (from 93 yo grandmother to 18-month-old great-grandson) had an amazing Thanksgiving celebration at Villa Ausblick. The home was well equipped and the property beautiful, and the owner provided extensive info and communicated well and quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Winter Vacation

Our winter stay at Villa Ausblick with extended family was great! The house was everything we expected it to be. It was well stocked, clean, spacious, and was appealing to everyone in our group. The location was perfect too, secluded enough to feel like we had elbow room and a short drive to Waterbury and Stowe to go out and explore Vermont. We will definitely consider returning next year!

A holiday to remember

We rented this home for a thanksgiving family reunion. It was absolutely wonderful! Large screen TV for every football game you could want with a bar right near by and fooseball for kids. Also loved hot tub with spectacular views of the mountain, and a fire pit outside to enjoy the views without getting cold. Let alone all the area attractions. This house is the perfect getaway!

The views are stunning!

Sybille was a wonderful host, very communicative and genuinely eager to make sure we had a marvelous stay at Villa Ausblick. The house is AMAZING and provided everything we needed and more! I especially loved the children's playroom as it kept the grandbabies entertained and happy. We could not get enough of the fantastic views and the general splendor of the property. The amount of love and care the Kim's have put into this place shows in every detail. I highly recommend this spacious, comfortable, welcoming property for your stay. We definitely hope to return one day, perhaps during another season. I cannot thank you enough!

Mountain oasis

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Ausblick with our children and grandchildren. The house was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to make our stay a success. The pool was wonderful, the grounds were beautifully landscaped, and the views were spectacular. There was plenty to do for our 4 and 6 year old granddaughters and lots of space to be together or spread out as needed. The location was peaceful and secluded on the top of a ridge, yet was very close to grocery shopping, restaurants and historic Waterbury. We loved the area. The owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again should we have the oppportunity.

Wonderful family ski trip

We recently stayed at the house and can't say enough about the amazing time we had. The house is so cozy, warm, and inviting. We are a family of four and went with friends and their son and there was plenty of room. House is fully equip with everything you would need, including all things you would need for small children. There is a playroom full of games, puzzles, and even a play kitchen. The basement has a large screen TV, shuffle board, and other games. The hot tub was a nice addition as well. Very close to the highway, supermarket, and restaurants. We will definitely be back, we might even go in the summer to take advantage of the pool! Highly recommend the house!!

Bittersweet

After being quarantined for several weeks our family needed a change of space. We decided a get a way together would be nice this property was beautiful and the grounds were awesome. We were really enjoying ourselves so more of our extended family booked a location close by and joined us for a few days for games and shared meals. Ultimately the most memorable time of the year. Unfortunately, we didn’t cover the hot tub after each use and it over heated so I asked the owner. Mistake because she definitely has control issues. She went through the camera and counted how many people were there and how many cars, where we were parked etc. She stated we broke the rental agreement and kept half the deposit. I agree we had more family then originally stated on the agreement, they did not sleep over and they were our family visiting us for the day. Also the house was in perfect order. There is several list of instructions for this house, some are in the house, emailed and also on the VRBO site. Lastly she doesn’t mind breaking the rules a little when it suits her because she emailed me directly before we had a contract with VRBO. If I didn’t have the most amazing time with my family I would be upset but those memories are worth every penny.

60th Skiing Surprise

I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday in a big way and not with the typical party. Our family is spread out from CT, PA, MD and GA. We have 5 granddaughters ranging in age from 9 months to 7 years, who have never been together due to the distance between us. This was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together. After searching numerous properties all over as the choices were many we settled on Villa Ausblick. We could not have been happier. This home more than accommodated the 5 girls and 12 adults in our party. The home is beautiful both inside and out. Everything was well maintained and fully stocked with all the necessities. I liked the fact the cabinets were labeled. Made putting items in the proper area convenient. The location to area attractions was great. We all loved Ben & Jerry's of course. Our younger but legal aged adults enjoyed the breweries and wineries in the area. My husband and son enjoyed skiing. Unfortunately only got one day in due to 50 mph winds when the remainder of the party arrived for the weekend. We still had a blast watching the play offs and hanging out, with some of us in the hot tub. You have never experienced a hot tub until done outside, on top of a mountain with 50 mph winds. Lol. The mountain views are spectacular as the house is at the highest point of the mountain. I would strongly recommend this property to any type of group from family getaways, to girls or guys weekends, to multiple couples. Something for everyone. I know if I plan another trip to the area I won't have to look far for a place to stay. Thank you Peter and Sybille for opening your home!!!

Spectacular vacation family home!

Superb and thorough pre-trip instructions made our arrival a breeze. Beautiful kitchen well-stocked for all our cooking needs. Great gas grill put to good use. Spacious home with tons of activities for the kids in our group ages 3-13. Outdoor pool. Treehouse, Hammock and Fire pit and Game room all put to good use. Multiple dining areas inside and out. Gorgeous mater bedroom/bath. Incredible vistas of the Green Mountains! We loved this house and the helpful, friendly owners!

An oasis in the mountains

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Villa Ausblick is! Outdoor pool, porch, frog pond, tree house, green Mountain View’s and sunsets, you name it. Inside there are so many opportunities to keep busy or relax inside with cozy couches, a beautiful fireplace and games for young and adults. We especially appreciated just how organized and well labeled the home was. It was a fabulous vacation spot and we hope to visit again! Thank you!

Wonderful property

We had a large family group including children, parents, and grandparents. The house worked out perfectly. Great set up, clean, well equipped, lots to do for the kids. Beautiful and peaceful escape!

My family and I had the most memorable 2 week stay at Villa Ausblick! We took advantage of every part of the beautiful property, inside and out. Our 3 young boys treasured their days exploring the frog pond, playing in the treehouse, swimming in the pool, eating s’mores by the fire pit at night, playing foosball and watching movies in the basement, and enjoying every toy in the playroom. The adults enjoyed all of that and more - meals and drinks on the 2 decks, some exercise equipment, and unbelievable views! And on days we wanted to venture out we found amazing food and activities all within 10-20 minutes. Our favorite was picnicking and kayaking at Waterbury Center State Park. The owners thought of literally everything you could ever need in a rental home. I have never felt more taken care of when staying at someone else’s home. We are so grateful to the Kim family for sharing their oasis with us!
