Beautiful Oceanfront, Grand Atlantic Resort, 3rd FL, Attached Parking Garage

My husband and I are retired and live in Taylors, SC. We are Christians and love the Lord. We also love the beach and the mountains. In Gatlinburg, we have 2, 2 bedroom condos we also rent on VRBO, #'s 348194 and 368085. My husband is a retired Civil/Structural Engineer and I am a former bridal shop owner. We have 3 children and 3 wonderful grandchildren. Where did we grow up? Knoxville, Tennessee where we were high school sweethearts. What do we like? My husband, Colen likes to watch most all ESPN stations, (sports) , we watch HGTV, American Pickers, Dateline. Family Feud & Wheel of Fortune and a few others. We love antiques and like to go to estate sales. Hobbies, Colen has several train sets including the Lionel Trains and we like to collect and display Dept. 56 Christmas Villages.

We chose to purchase in Myrtle Beach and at the Grand Atlantic because of the location and there is so much to do in and around Myrtle Beach. The Boardwalk is less than 2 miles away as is the Family Kingdom Amusement Park and the Family Kingdom Oceanfront Water Park. Also very close by, is the downtown Sky Wheel where you can take a ride in one of their air conditioned gondolas and see Myrtle Beach as you have never seen before. At dark, the Sky Wheel is a beautiful light show with 1 million LED lights. The Sky Wheel show can be seen up and down the boardwalk and as you are driving in the area. The Grand Atlantic is about 2 or 3 miles from the Market Commons and 2 miles from the Myrtle Beach Airport. Many popular eating places and grocery stores are near by. Myrtle Beach and the Grand Atlantic are located about half way between North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. All these areas run together and you can go either way north or south or stay right around Myrtle Beach and find many things to do, places to eat, entertainment and shopping.

There are several reasons we chose the Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort. (1) We love the 3rd floor convenience and view. You are high enough for a good view but not real high. From inside the condo, you can stand at the kitchen sink or sit at the table and see the ocean waves and the people on the beach. Our condo is ocean front and has a large balcony. We love the master bedroom and living room being on the ocean front.(2) The parking deck is attached to the building and you can enter the 3rd floor of the building from the 3rd floor of the parking deck. The higher floors do not have this convenience (up past the 6th floor). It is so nice to get out of your car on the 3rd floor of the parking deck (parking is first come first serve) and walk right in to the condo, if you can get a space on the 3rd floor of the parking deck, which usually you can. (3) Less time waiting on elevators on the lower floors. (4) Enclosed hallways (5) Clean grounds and well taken care of. (6) Entrance out to the beach is a short walk. Go out past the pools , across a short bridge and you are on the beach. (7) Spacious rooms and our condo has 3 full big bathrooms. (8) Indoor pools, along with outside pools. If you get sun burned or it is raining or just to hot to get out in the sun, under the building is the Lazy River, another large pool, a kiddie pool and hot tub. If you go in the cooler months, this same area is glass enclosed therefore you can use the amenities year round. The indoor and outdoor pools are heated. (9) Exercise/Workout Room. (10) Game room (11) There is also a washer and dryer in the condo. Our condo # 302 had all these things we were looking for and we felt like our guest would enjoy them also.
