Serendipity - Oregon Beach Vacations

Welcome to Serendipity in Depoe Bay! This one bedroom, one bath cottage is located on a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You'll have plenty of room for you, one guest, and your favorite four legged friend, making this rental home perfect for a couple's weekend getaway! Step inside and get settled in for your stay! The large deck with the front door is a great place to soak up some sun during the warm summer months!

The living room and kitchen are all interconnected, making it easy to whip up a quick and easy meal while enjoying your partner's company. Please note that this unit offers an electric cooktop, no oven, along with two toaster ovens. There is also a mini fridge for you to store any small items in, such as water bottles or milk for cereal. You'll have an amazing picturesque view from this area of the ocean any time of day! Relax on the couch and watch a movie, or enjoy a nice warm fire. You'll also have Wi-Fi access while staying at Serendipity, so working while on your stay will be easy. Depoe Bay is well known for its abundance of whales, so we're sure you'll see a few while on your vacation. Make sure to enjoy the hot tub while on your vacation as well! Enjoy a nice soak in the summer months or warm up during the winter! The bedroom is located right off of this main room and contains a queen size bed. The bathroom contains a stand-in shower.

While enjoying your time in Depoe Bay, be sure to check out the surrounding areas as well. Depoe Bay offers whale tours out on the ocean nearly every time of the year. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance to explore right off of Highway 101. You can also travel south to Newport or north to Lincoln City if you're looking for more things to explore and see while touring the Oregon coast. The Newport Aquarium is a must see, as are the many glass blowing shops in Lincoln City.

While you may not be able to reach the beach in Depoe Bay, you can still get great views of the Pacific from both the home and Spouting Horn on Highway 101. EV charging cable is stored in the kitchen cabinets. Parking is available for up to two cars at Serendipity.

This cozy cottage exceeded our expectations! The ocean view was unbeatable and we even saw a few whales from our windows. It was walkable to town and the perfect size for a couple traveling with our small dog.

This place is magical at any time of day but sunset is truly spectacular! It’s a cozy spot perfect for a creative getaway which is exactly why I was there.

Overall it was a peaceful place. Great spot to watch whales. Short walk to Depoe Bay. Comfortable furniture, modern TV. A few minor inconveniences: Refrigerator was half-size, like for dorm room. Shower was teeny-tiny and had a non-functional light. One burner on the stove did not work either. Despite the above it was a pleasant place to spend on the coast!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit. Last time we saw many whales. This time the ocean was too rough. It was great watching the Coast Guard practice right in front of us. Four eagles were flying around right over our heads for several minutes. The house was clean and well equipped. Even our 5 pound dog didn't want to leave. She loves the place as much as we do.

Amazing view from the hottub.

This cute little cottage bungalow on the ocean was just what we needed for our time on the coast. The views from both the hot tub the outside deck and inside were just breathtaking looking. However I did wish that the windows opened up to allow for more of the ocean sound But that was easily Managed by having the front door open. We did end up sitting sleeping on the futon in the front room rather than the bed in the bedroom since the ocean wave sounds were not nearly as strong and that's mostly what I'm there for is the deep sounds of the babes. So while that wasn't ideal we made it work cause I can't complain here in the ocean while I fall asleep. Great view, unique property

The view was as advertised, we had a great time viewing whales from the deck. The deck hot tub was perfect, with views of the ocean/sunset and nice privacy. The living area had comfortable furniture, again with ample views of the ocean. The wifi worked fine and the cottage was very clean. Just a short walk to shops and restaurants in the heart of Depoe Bay. Great off street parking at the cottage. The cottage has a 1960's vibe, which we found charming. It has wood paneling throughout, and the stove top is an early-mid 1960's General Electric pushbutton unit, and many of the fixtures seem to be from that era. There is no dishwasher, nor oven - but there was an electric toaster oven in the cabinet and the microwave is a newer model. That said, it was well stocked with cook ware and what one would need for preparing and enjoying a meal in the cottage. We loved the throwback feel of the place, but realize that might not work for everyone. No complaints about the property, but one item that we found humorous. The basket of supplies on the kitchen counter included dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent - but there is neither a diswasher nor a clothes washer/dryer in the cottage. I suspect that the management company has a standard basket that they place in all units, regardless of how they are equipped. A side note, about the general practices in the vacation rental market. If you are a couple looking to get away do not research any further. It does not get any better than this. It has the most beautiful views we have ever seen. We sat on the deck and watched whales for hours everyday. The most peaceful setting I have visited. Depoe Bay and the surrounding areas are incredible, we will be back for sure.

Exceptional vacation home

Where to start... this is THE place to stay! Perfectly located and within walking distance to downtown Depoe Bay, making our outings very convenient. You cant beat the breath taking views as soon as you drive up to the home. We were immediately greeted by some migrating whales upon arrival! Thank you to the host for making this a home away from home with so many wonderful comforts. We will be booking again soon!

Walking into the house, immediately smacked in the face with the smell of dog pee. Pretty disappointing considering the price of the stay. They either need to professionally clean the carpet or rip the carpet out. Beautiful view and hot tub was nice.
