Gorgeous Water Front Home w/ Private Beach on Lake Champlain

Absolutely gorgeous water front home with stunning sunset view looking west/southwest over the lake and Adirondack Mountains. Recently renovated and updated in 2020/21. Fully furnished kitchen and bathroom, washer/dryer, high ceilings, air-conditioning in master bedroom, new floors, and all the creature comforts of home. The cottage sits directly on the waterfront and includes a private cove-like beach offering privacy, seclusion, solitude. The protected cove is lined with rock ledges and beaches with lots of places to swim. Enjoy family gatherings or a quite weekend alone with someone special. A tennis court and playground are located a short walk away and nature trails abound nearby. Multiple protected outdoor eating areas to include a secluded "grotto-like" patio, a small private deck overlooking the lake, and a outdoor deck/siting area just below the cottage and above the water front. Come explore the grandeur of Lake Champlain & the nearby Green Mountains and Adirondacks. The cottage is cozy, clean, and comfortable with a full kitchen & bathrooms, pine-sided living/sitting room, and bedrooms fitted with new furnishings. Three comfortable bedrooms. Enjoy the scenery, solitude, fresh air, fall foliage, or simply escape the city or summer heat. Surely one of the best deals in town. Guests have access to a canoe, kayaks, paddles, and life vests (assuming previous guest have not damaged or lost same). Internet WIFI is available but NOT guaranteed.

SECURITY SURVEILLANCE: The property is fitted with a security camera surveillance system comprised on 8 cameras, all of which a mounted on the exterior of the house view exterior/outdoor areas. THERE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE INTERIOR OF THE HOME OR VIEWING THE INTERIOR OF THE HOME.

LINENS & TOWELS: Guests are responsible for bringing their own linens and towels. There are 2 queen, 1 double, 1 twin, and 1 futon double beds. If guest cannot bring their own linens and towels the owners can provide those items at a cost of $100.00 per stay. This includes the owners laundering those linens.

Beautiful Lake View

A very clean lake house with gorgeous views. Would gladly stay here again. This was a relaxing stay during my daughter’s college grad.

A relaxing week by the lake

This is a lovely house with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed the porch for reading and doing puzzles, and the home was the perfect place for our family to unwind, unplug, and relax. It was a hot week, so we appreciated the ceiling fans and the a/c in the master bedroom. While the waterfront is not ideal for swimming, especially for kids (it's shallow but the rocks are slippery and there is a good amount of seaweed), we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the calm bay. There are lovely lake views all along the point, and we enjoyed evening sunset walks. It was easy to get to nearby towns, and we visited Burlington a few times during our stay. Our favorite local attraction was Cookie Love, the creemee stand just up the road. Vista Lago is clean and beautiful, everything was in working order, and we had just about everything we needed for a low-key week together.

Relaxing week in a beautiful spot!

Three couples were vacationing together. Sitting in the front and looking out over the water with our meals was a favorite activity. We did a lot of swimming, boating and took adventures off to local towns. A wonderful spot to explore!

Stayed over the weekend for a wedding

Beautiful house and location. The host was very nice and easy to contact. The only down side was that the place was very cold which made it very uncomfortable to be there, the place provided space heaters which we had to move from place to place to keep ourselves warm. Blankets are not warm so I would recommend you bring your own. Other than that we loved the house!

Comfortable home with beautiful view

A group of friends stayed at this property to visit grandchildren who are all students at UVM. The house is modern and comfortable with a beautiful, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. We all enjoyed the gorgeous views of the lake and mountains from the line of rocking chairs on the enclosed porch. There are a lot of places to hike nearby, everything from easy to challenging.

Charming lakefront cottage

If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation on Lake Champlain, Vista Lago is a lovely choice. Long Point is a nice location and welcoming community. The owners of this house have done a wonderful job updating the property while maintaining its charm. It was clean, comfy, and very well appointed, with a modern kitchen and beautiful south-facing views of the lake.

Peaceful, clean, enjoyable stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Victor & Sally's house. Nicely/newly renovated, clean, comfortable, and everything we needed. Very bright with many windows and uncluttered, just great. And, quiet, which is key for us....beautiful on the lake. Victor and Sally were also very accommodating with the timing of our trip and our arrival and some issues we had in getting there. They were very easy to deal with, responsive, and kind. Very grateful for their communication, hospitality, and nice vacation they afforded us! Thank you!

Quiet with an amazing view of the lake!

The house was clean, well equipped and comfortable with lots of nicely done updates. The view of the lake was spectacular and we couldn’t believe how peaceful! The owners were quick to respond to questions and even left us some farm fresh eggs upon arrival! A great find and reasonably priced. Thanks for all!

Great cabin by the lake

A very clean and spacious cabin. Has all appliances one would expect for the stay. We enjoyed kayaking Lake Champlain, and hiking Mt Philo which is a very short drive from the house. Will consider returning next year.

Great Stay at Long Point.

Fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, tennis, running......or just lounging.....it doesn't get any better than a summer week at Long Point. Golf at any one of several nearby courses. Visit Vergennes or Burlington, or swing by the Rokeby, Lake Champlain Maritime, or Shelburne Museums for some history. Hosts Victor and Sally were great and the camp was perfect for the 3 of us.

Great spot

We loved our stay at Sally and Victor’s Camp. The house was recently remodeled and was nicely done. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and neat. Living room was comfortable and the kitchen was set up with new appliances and plenty of counter space. The location was wonderful. The house is located in a private association with its own water access to Lake Champlain about 75 yards away. We enjoyed walking the association grounds and found it a great jumping off spot to explore the rest of Vermont.

Cozy spot for exploring greater Burlington area

Casa Lago is just as described. It’s not fancy or fussy but it is neat, tidy and has the necessary amenities like WiFi and tv. We used the house for spillover guests and the location was great for our purposes. It would have been great to take out the kayaks if we had the time as the lake is magnificent!

We (Sally and Victor) have been happily married for 27 years and have 2 wonderful children and 4 fabulous grandchildren. Victor recently retired after a 30 year law enforcement/counterterrorism career. Sally spent her career in the restaurant biz and also recently retired. Why they chose this property

Sally is from the same area and a true Vermonter. Victor first visited Vermont in 1986 and fell in love with the area immediately. The people are so friendly, life is slower, and the scenery is absolutely stunning.

What makes this property unique

Though Vista Lago is new to Victor and Sally's properties, they have owned and operated other cottages very near Vista Lago. Both have an excellent reputation working in this industry as illustrated in the aforementioned testimonials.
