Renovated Getaway in Sunny Sebring

I have to stress this, there is No smoking allowed anywhere on the property inside or outside. If you smoke you will need to look elsewhere.

This is the South side of my duplex and it is a 2/2 with a Queen in the master, and 2 twins in the second bedroom. The master bathroom has a large shower, and the second bath has a full size tub. New flooring, A/C, doors, fridge, stove, TV, and more. It has Comcast Business internet for running multiple streaming TVs, laptops, and whatever else you may bring. It is fully furnished, ready to be enjoyed as a relaxing vacation home.

Sebring is located in Highlands County. Here in the center of the Sunshine State, you’ll find crystal clear lakes for fishing, boating, skiing and sailing, and more than a dozen golf courses that will suit your skills and challenge level.

Our gently rolling hills, orange groves and charming small town make this a relaxing country getaway – and our central location provides easy access to Florida’s best attractions without the hustle and high prices of the major tourist areas.

It’s the best of both worlds – 90 minutes to Disney, Sea World, or Universal Studios in Orlando, and less than 2 hours to Busch Gardens in Tampa, or Lion Country Safari and the Atlantic beaches in West Palm Beach. However, removed enough for that “get away from it all” feeling. Come discover Highlands County for yourself!

Highlands County is home to Highlands Hammock State Park, Sebring International Raceway, 80 lakes. Historic downtown Sebring has numerous shops and restaurants, while the other side of the lake has a mall, shopping centers, theaters and more places to eat, and over 125 houses of worship.

Units have Comcast business wi-fi, bring your laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

Please note - from January through March only full months are rented. No mid month rentals, i.e. Jan 10 to Feb 9 type rentals. I loose the remaining parts of the months.

This is a No pet rental and due to restrictions there is No smoking allowed anywhere on the property, inside or out.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay. The owner always got back to me on questions I had. Everything was in working order. Beds and lounge chairs were comfortable. With the exception of some pans left in the oven by the previous guests and their lack of dusting, everything was clean. Neighbors were friendly. Overall grade A.

Overall very pleased with the place, had an issues with microwave and fridge due to connection issues, but the owner was available when I called in the evening and schedule an electrician to come and take care of the issue right of way. Since there is no cleaning fee, you clean the place your self which is not a big issue for me. Place was located in a secure area and very quiet, good experience for this vacation.

Awesome location and property

This was our first extended stay as snowbirds coming from Canada. My husband and I are avid golfers and you could not beat this location in terms of location, challenge and affordability to many golf courses. The property is in a very quiet and private location. The apartment was immaculate upon arrival and we left it the same. Very welled quipped with every thing you need. A couple of days after we arrived the air conditioner quit, when we reported it to Fred, he had it replaced right away and it was very comfortable for our entire stay. Sebring is a lovely city with many lakes and parks. Whether you are a golfer, fisherman or lover of nature, this little city has it all.

The place was unbelievable. The owner had the place well stocked with plenty of towels, linens, pillows, and kitchen pots & pans, flatware, silverware and utensils. The bathrooms were modernized with plenty of hot water. We'd definitely stay there again!

It took 2 years to rebuild it, and we decided that this was going to be our retirement home, so we put a little extra TLC into making it as comfortable as we could. This home is well located and wonderfully furnished. Close to hwy. 27 but still very quiet. We enjoyed having everything at our fingertips. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped. Bathroom was clean and hot water was on demand. Highly recommended.

This place met all of our expectations and we would certainly consider staying here again. It was quite clean and for the most part had comfortable furniture. The kitchen was pretty good although the appliances were old and there was no dishwasher. The best aspect of this place was the location. It is on the south side of Sebring and pretty close to our kids and grandkids, the reason for our stay. The owner was quite responsive when contacted.

Thank you Emily for your review of our apartment. This past month, just like every November since we started renting seasonally, we made the trip to Sebring to get the duplex ready for the “Season”. We pressure cleaned the patios and walkways, replaced pillows, sheet sets, towels, and the coffee maker that was showing signs of wear. We of course cleaned the apartments from top to bottom, and washed everything that needed it. When the kitchen was remodeled we did make it bigger; however, there still was not enough room to put in a dish washer. During the “Season” guest are arriving anywhere from 4 to 24 hours after the previous ones have left. That is why we request the apartments be left in the same condition as they were found, ready for the next quest. This keeps us from having to rely on someone to clean them, and from having to charge for cleaning, and we can refund the deposits in full. Each year we hold about half of the deposits for our guest that plan on returning the following year. Glad you enjoyed your stay, Fred.

Charming House in a Quiet Neighborhood

My family and I needed to travel to Sebring under somber circumstances – to attend a funeral of a family member who had passed unexpectedly. Fred allowed us to rent his clean, fully-equipped and well-maintained house on very short notice and showed deep compassion and sympathy for our loss. I recommend this house not just because of the amenities but also because of the owner’s innately kind disposition.

Perfect getaway

This rental was modern, clean and well appointed with everything you would need to have a great vacation. We really enjoyed the privacy of the back yard for sitting, barbequing and bird watching. Everything you would need is within a 10 minute drive and there is a gas station/convenience store within close walking distance if you need something and don't feel like driving. There are plenty of cheap golf courses around, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) we are not golfers so trips to Orlando attractions or the Gulf coast beaches can be a full day trip as the roads out of Sebring have lots of stop lights to slow you down. However, if you plan on staying put in the Sebring area or if you don't mind the day trip to get to the beaches or Orlando attractions, this house and the location is perfect and I would certainly recommend it to my friends, especially the golfers.

This has been another great rental season. I remember what my son said on a trip to check on the apartments this year. "Dad, both side are perfect, we don't have to clean anything" (he is 13)! Great area for golfers

We spent the month of January. The homey environment is exactly like the pictures and was clean and well-maintained. The owner installed wi-fi early in the month which was extremely nice so we could read e-mail and use the internet. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed preparing many meat/seafood meals on the gas grill. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone needing a place to stay in Sebring. My husband and I are avid golfers and were delighted to find so many courses to play and how reasonable the price to play a round. In addition, I enjoyed daily walks beside the orange groves and going to the local flea markets. But our favorite pasttime in Sebring was enjoying a beer on the deck overlooking the lake at the Sunset Grille. It was so relaxing after a game of golf! For outings, we drove to Lake Wales and enjoyed several hours at the Bok Tower Gardens, explored Okeechobee, enjoyed the many murals at Lake Placid and spent an afternoon driving along the ocean near Bradenton and Sarasota. As we left the area, we stopped in Orlando and went to Epcot.

Sebring has to be the best area! We just loved it!

Everything was so close (shopping (We loved Ross' and Marshalls!), restaurants (We loved to eat at Homer's at the 4 Corners of Sebring, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.), so we hit the jackpot in Sebring. My hubby golfs a lot, and with prices, he golfs every day. The Thai HOuse is wonderful too.

A Delightful Winter Getaway

My wife and I stayed at this delightful house for 3 months . The house is very comfortable ,with all the amenities on hand for a home from home .Everything you will need is on the "doorstep" with church , shopping , golf and various eateries within a few miles . We loved it so much ,we are returning as soon as we can ! .Thankyou Fred .

It was a pleasure to have the best guest ever stay this past season. We had five different couples in all. Everyone that stayed all commented about how nice the others were. Sometimes they ate together and at times even played golf together. We had some from the US, some from Canada, and some from as far away as England. With this being a duplex, they get to meet new friends that share similar interest and passions. Most were new to us this year; others have stayed with us before. Some are already coming back next year. They all took great care in leaving the apartments better than they found them. We were truly blessed to have such a great group of special friends stay this year. Thanks to all of you, Fred.

We camped one year in Highlands Hammock State Park and fell in love with the Sebring area. It has everything you could want and need without the fast pace of the major tourist towns. When we got the opportunity we decided to purchase there so we would have a place to get away and relax with our two children. It is conveniently located in the middle of everything you may want to visit. We gutted and remodeled everything inside, hoping someday to retire there. I'm sure you will enjoy it also. Fred.

What makes this property unique

Be sure and get tickets for the nature tram ride inside Highlands Hammock State Park. It is the best way to see some of the hidden wonders of Florida. We also enjoy walking the nature trails (they are not too long). I've always seen at least one, if not more alligators and other wildlife.
