About this property
Casa Rumi, Romantic honeymoon suite with stunning views of Sayulita bay!
Lounge around the salt water infinity pool, enjoy the amazing Bay views, have a masseuse come to Casa Rumi and have a massage in your room, be served by your own private chef. Our guest services team can help you set up whatever your heart desires during your stay. You never need to leave the Villa!
Villa Poema de Amor is visible from anywhere on Sayulita Bay and perfectly located. Perched on the south end of the bay, directly above Villa Amor, Villa Poema de Amor with it's iconic blue domes features beautiful views of the jungle, ocean and Sayulita Bay, beach and town. Watch the surfers ride waves from your windows and the fishermen coming into shore with their daily catch.
Inspired by Rumi, this casa is a romantic honeymoon suite on the bay with its exotic cupolas over every room and its views of the ocean from the King bed. Studio style with everything you need to cook in the Kitchen area (no oven but does have 2 stove top burners, full refrigerator and microwave), bathroom with exquisite rounded carpentry, hand painted sink, hand carved mirror and a beautiful shower that has gorgeous views of the Bay. (It feels as if you are in an outdoor shower!) Rumi's bathroom also has a soaking tub. The views from Rumi's deck off the kitchen are stunning! One can see the ocean, Sayulita Bay, town, the entire beach all the way to San Poncho! A perfect place to sit for coffee in the morning and margaritas in the evening!
There are brick cupolas over every room in Casa Rumi (3), lots of artistic touches and unforgettable views.
Also roof top terrace is for Casa Rumi use only with table under palapa with chairs and 2 lounging chairs.
“Love,” says Rumi, “is an endless ocean with no beginning and no end.” Come be inspired by Casa Rumi on the top floor of Villa Poema de Amor.
Sayulita has become mucho popular for its romantic bay views, rustic-chic surfing vibe and its unique Bohemian lifestyle! As a bi-product, there are many new buildings going up across the whole town. (We have an semi-active site next to us but our Villa is usually quieter than most places in town. )
Gorgeous peaceful views from our salt water infinity pool and deck. Calm lull of the ocean waves at night.
Town and the beaches are a 15 minute walk on the back dirt and cobblestone roads. We suggest you bring a flashlight at night and we also suggest renting a golf cart. Our guest services team can help you with golf cart rental and have it delivered to the Villa. We can accommodate 4 golf carts in our gated parking area and have charging outlets. Also, there are many taxi's and cost about $5-$7 each way from Villa to town. Most drivers know exactly where we are if you give them the name of the Villa.
This is a fabulous opportunity to stay at one of the most beautiful and iconic Villas in Sayulita. Perched on the hill on the south side of the bay, you can see our majestic blue domes and elegant rounded architecture from anywhere on the Bay!

About the host
Hosted by Zan Nix

When I am not overlooking the beautiful bay of Sayulita, I live in a small, culturally rich town, Ashland, in Southern Oregon. Home of the Oregon Shakespearean Festival, Ashland offers great theater, a vibrant arts community and lots of good restaurants! I am a realtor and also teach Psychology at Southern Oregon University. I have a passion for poetry and for being on water which are the two inspirations for my designing and building Villa Poema de Amor, Villa Love Poem.
Why they chose this property
What Makes this Villa Unique?
Designed by architect, Miquel Valverdez and built by Arturo Fernandez, Villa Poema de Amor is like no other villa in Sayulita. Perched on the south tip of the bay it has beautiful views of the jungle, ocean and Sayulita Bay, beach and town. The architecture too, is unique. Inspired by my travels to Greece, the blue cupolas can be seen from most anywhere in Sayulita, right above Villa Amor. All the rooms are furnished with custom built and carved furniture and many pieces are curved like the soft rounded walls. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed and artfully made by local artisans, including hand painted sinks, hand carved furniture and mirrors, playful accents in the ceramic floors, unique and custom wrought iron railings and accents and carefully chosen art. The rounded brick cupolas in every room of the top floor, Casa Rumi, are architecturally stunning. This romantic villa was lovingly crafted with attention paid to every detail.
In designing Villa Poema I wanted to reflect the romance of this exquisite location overlooking the sea, naming it Villa Poema de Amor after my two passions…love and poetry. I named each of the individual casas after poets: Casa Zen, tucked below, is named after the poet that created the Villa, First floor, Casa Hafiz (Persian poet Hafiz) & Casa Lorca (Spanish poet Fredrico Garcia Lorca); second floor, Casa Neruda (Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda); and third floor, Casa Rumi (world’s most revered love poet, Persian poet, Rumi).
I look forward to sharing this very special place with you and hope you will enjoy your memories long after.

What makes this property unique
Why Sayulita
I first came to Sayulita in 2003 and fell in love with what was, at the time, a sleepy little fishing and surfing village! While Sayulita has become far more popular and discovered since then, it has always kept me in awe of its natural beauty. I still enjoy walking on the beach and all the wonderful options for yoga in town. For a small town Sayulita also has a lot going on, many activities to enjoy and nearby places to explore.
