Not as described-Not private, not luxurious and not 2 min from beach
The only good thing about the property is a clean kitchen, the rest of the house was not cleaned. The owner lives on the property in the 3rd bedroom without a proper disclosure in the ad. The owner is in a vulnerable emotional stage and doesn't communicate rationally. It seems like the property was under remodeling few years ago but ran out of steam/funds. The house needs TLC all over starting from a front door with a rusty handle and a door bell with a broken plate- electrical, plumbing, cleaning, etc. Half of electric bulbs are missing. The electric outlets have broken or no covers or falling out of walls. It would be unsafe for children. Faucets and toilets were not installed properly and are not stable, one toilet does not function properly. We never got a shampoo or conditioner, even after we asked. Master bedroom has furniture in 'found on a street and not restored' condition, and no drawers or a closet for use by visitors. We had to keep all our belongings in a suitcase on a floor for a whole stay. There is no chair in a bedroom. The bedding was old and worn out, also stained. The mattress cover had mold. We got 2 flat old worn out pillows, stained. The comforter was so old and worn out that had bumps and smell. Refrigerator had owner's food in it with a shelf available for us. The second bedroom is very small and very basic, NOTHING close to luxurious. It also has no closet and a partially finished wall. The attempt to find an iron resulted in no iron but a very old and stained ironing board. The washer and dryer look like 40-50 y.o. The house front and back patios have not been cleaned for years, the back patio has no furniture. The house does not offer any beach-related items like beach towels, chairs and an umbrella to use. The dining room in that 'luxury' house has a table and 3 chairs only, it is an extent of the room content. Overall- we grossly overpaid for our stay, and regret renting the house with no reviews. The owner is not responsive.
