On your own 6-acre private Grass Lake. Amazing views of two lakes! 65 amazing acres with over 2+ miles of private hiking/snow shoeing/cross country skiing trails. Great fishing (Lake is stocked) loaded with Bass, Crappie, Northern Pike and Panfish with dock and use of low-tech fishing boat provided complimentary. Plus a paddle board, canoe and two new kayaks...all included. Large Master Bedroom with King Bed, heated floors in bathroom and private deck, upper level large Bedroom with new King Bed and third with three comfortable beds...two Full and One Twin. Two other pull-out couches. Two blow up mattress beds just in case. Lodge can sleep 12 comfortably depending upon make-up of group and up to 14 with adjacent Carriage House. Gourmet kitchen, dining and family room with incredible sound system throughout the house and outdoors. New Wifi throughout. Screened-in porch and dining deck with new table with10 chairs with grill overlooking both lakes. Indoor bar and Outdoor covered bars area named “Grass Lake Tavern”. "Game Room" with new pool table, new ping pong, shuffleboard, putting green, sound system, TV, kitchenette and comfortable seating area. Two fire pit areas with outdoor music. New hot tub! Outdoor games include basketball net, horseshoes, new corn hole and many other fun games. Garage parking for two cars. Dogs allowed with approval from owner (no cats as owners are allergic).

Adjacent Carriage House of 1,000 SF 1 BR Queen plus Pull-Out Queen Couch, Kitchen, Dining Room and living plus spectacular views of two lakes from private deck. Available in a separate listing in our third party platforms and/or ask the Owner. This listing is for The Lodge only. The Carriage House cannot be rented on it's own. Wifi available in the Carriage House as well. Carriage House is NOT booked with others while Lodge is rented. Thank you.

Perfect for families, friends, corporate retreats, reunions, couples and Ferris State University groups. For families whose kids are learning from home, this can be your second home with Wifi for the kids and parents who may also need to work or learn from "home". We do ask that our guests refrain from streaming movies and gaming.

Fantastic city getaway

Grass Lake lodge is a beautiful, peaceful oasis, the perfect place to soak in nature and have great meals and laughs. We loved everything especially the paddle boats, game room and the stunning views.

A truly special place

We had a wonderful stay at Grass Lake Lodge, it was a perfect getaway to unwind in an amazing natural setting. Our dogs enjoyed the hiking trails immensely! The Lodge is beautiful and the owners attended to every detail to make us comfortable.

Beautiful!

We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals all over the US & this one is one of the cleanest & well stocked places we have been! Love the inside & outside spaces, especially the outdoor bar area. Perfect place to relax & hang out with family & friends!

Perfect family getaway!

Our family of 11 had the perfect stay for 3 days! Every detail has been thought of. So much to do; we never left the lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. Space for everyone to be together and yet have some occasional "alone" time. The property is beautiful with the most serene, peaceful setting.

Great place to get away

The lodge was a great place for a golf trip with friends. We went to some great golf courses 2 of the days and spent rest of weekend at lodge, great view of the lake and plenty of room to play outdoor games to pass the time. The lodge had everything we needed to have a good time and plenty of room. Also had fun playing ping pong, shuffle board, and pool table. Would definitely go back and recommend 10/10 .

love the lodge

This was our second year staying at Grass Lake Lodge and plan on staying again next year. You couldn't ask for better owners and managers. Didn't have much ice for skating this year but took advantage of the trails in the woods. Would recommend it to anyone, especially families.

Perfect Self-Contained Vacation Spot

No need to leave the property, everything you could want is here! The house is beautiful and they have thought of everything. The caretaker was extremely responsive to our needs. Hiking, swimming, hot tub, fishing, indoor game room for bad weather days. Comfy beds and linens. We had an excellent week here!

Winter cabin weekend

We stayed with a group of friends and a few little ones and this was the perfect location! They were very easy to communicate with and ready to make sure we had anything we could possibly need. The house accommodated a large group really well and there was always something to do. The new hot tub was AMAZING for taking in the winter views while staying warm. We utilized the carriage house for extra sleeping space. Highly recommend for a weekend away.

Beautiful house and property

Friends and family gathered together to celebrate New Years and had a great time. House and Carriage house were perfect and had plenty of space for 6 adults, 5 teens, 4 kids and 2 dogs. Owner and house manager were very kind and available for any questions or concerns. Plenty to do from trail walking, sitting by bonfires or playing games. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This was our first time using a home rental app and we could not have had a better experience from beginning to end. This place is amazing!!!

The Grass Lake Lodge was perfect for our family get together. Outdoor activity abounds, a paddle board and 3 boats, plus floats kept everyone busy on the water. The fishing was non-stop too! When the weather didn't cooperate we had a game room full of activity with the hot tub just out the door. We spent a week there and never left the property except to get groceries. The host was easy to work with and on top of their game. The attention to detail inside the home was fantastic, so many nice features and really everything you need was on hand. This place is even better than the pics!

Summer getaway

Our family had a wonderful time at Grass Lake Lodge! The retreat is even more wonderful than the photographs. The home is beautifully decorated and everything is very clean and in working order. The lake and trails are wonderful. We enjoyed playing pool, shuffle board, and ping pong. The property had plenty of space for our family. The owners really know hospitality! Bob reached out to us before our trip, and so did Don, the caretaker. This property is well-loved, and it shows. Thank you for sharing Grass Lake! We are looking forward to our return.

Relaxing Cabin by the Lake

This was a great relaxing getaway my son fished all day and night the house has speakers all over so was able to hook my phone up and have music everywhere inside and out. We are not TV watchers so we never turned them on but enjoyed the game room and a glass of wine on the deck and watched my son fish on the dock. We are from Arizona and have a small ranch and a HVAC business so we are very busy at home so it was so nice to just relax. We need have some Chickens and Ducks visit while we were there so that was nice as well. Thanks for the great stay.

Fantastic getaway!

This lodge is truly designed as a peaceful vacation getaway! It has everything including quality hair, bath, and body products. It not only looks clean but also smells clean and fresh. The open layout from the kitchen to the dining and living areas works well. Our three generation family enjoyed the amount of space and all the great amenities - hot tub, boats, beach, fishing, fire pit, and especially the game room! Caretakers Damien and Sabrina are the best! This is unlike any place we've stayed before; other houses had quirky, lower quality additions/renovations to convert them to vacation rentals, but none of that here.

Absolutely Perfect

Thank you Bob and Karen for continuing to share Grass Lake Lodge through VRBO. It's an absolutely unique and amazing place and I love spending time there. This trip was a corporate event where we brought several great clients/friends for some fishing on the Pere Marquette River (stellar salmon fishing!). Grass Lake Lodge was the perfect place for us....great location, spotlessly clean, peaceful setting, and too many amenities to count. It's clear you've spent a career as an executive in the hotel industry....you know how to treat guests at your place. Looking forward to our next trip to Grass Lake Lodge!!

February Fun

Our family of six adults stayed at Grass Lake Lodge as a Christmas gift. The house was beautiful and we caught some pike ice fishing. Over near the far shore was where they seemed to be biting. Place had everything you'd want as far as comforts and the we spent a lot of time in the game room playing pool, shuffleboard and ping pong. We even went sledding down the hill beside the house and then soaked in the hot tub at night. The caretaker and owners were responsive and organized. Info on how to work everything and about the area was readily available. Definitely recommend for a getaway in whatever season.

Perfect Stay At Grass Lake Lodge

Everything and everybody was amazing. The property has too much to offer. Bob and Don were great, super communicative, accommodating and responsive. 3 buddies used this vacation as a get away from work and the stresses of life, and couldn’t have asked for a better property to do it at. I am very grateful they let us stay here and am utterly appreciative of their hospitality. I have stayed at many rental homes, and this one takes the cake. The place was clean, organized and very well stocked. Not to mention amazing views and absolutely gracious owners and caretaker. Loved every second. We’ll be back!!

Family Vacation

We had such a wonderful week at Grass Lake Lodge. It was the perfect place for an extended family getaway. I've stayed in a number of similar private rentals, and this one was by far the nicest. It was clean, beautifully furnished, and well stocked with anything you could need. The set up with the carriage house was just right for my brother's family. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, and I loved the multiple trails to hike on. Our kids loved the lake, the stand up paddle board, the fire pit (smores), and the downstairs game room. We all loved the nature atmosphere, all the different birds, and the getaway from the city - it was much needed! Communication with the owner was excellent and immediate, and the local manager was also very responsive. I hope we can go back next year!

Fantastic in every way!

This place was fantastic. The house was well equipped, a full kitchen, lots of towels and beach towels, well decorated and so comfortable. The game room was perfect. But the best for us was the outdoors with a deck off the main level looking out to the lake, a sand beach for the kids to play, the water boats (paddle board, canoe and row boat), and that great dock that reached out into the private lake. We spent many hours fishing from this dock in the morning and evening, with the little kids continually catching small fish and the adults catching much larger fish. It was catch and release for us and such an enjoyable fishing experience. The accommodations were definitely worth the price. We’ll be heading back on our next family vacation.
