About Anna Stoylowitz
I graduated in Germany (Tübingen) in Interior and Garden Design and came to Tuscany to work - it was meant to be for a short time, but Florence stole my heart and never left. It took us well over 5 years to restore this enchanting Estate - we put in it all of our love, energy and passion to deliver a luxury comfortable home, true to its heritage. This Estate is - and always has been - our family home and we hope you will feel at home to when visiting us.
Anna Stoylowitz purchased this Villa in 1988
Why Anna Stoylowitz chose Rignano
There are so many reasons I love this place, from the breathtaking views over Tuscany's rolling hills, to the endless attractive of the area: it's so easy to just go out for a drive in the Chianti Classico area and its wine Estate or to pop to Florence or Siena for a bit of shopping or to just go to the theatre. And of course there are the lovely quite gardens to retreat and relax, the swimming pool area and the spacious elegant interiors...
What makes this Villa unique
Panoramic views on the Chianti hills, absolute privacy and peace, yet very close to Florence city centre and to the best Tuscany has to offer. Luxury interior and first class service to make your visit to Tuscany truly perfect.

Deception in Paradise
First, let me say that we stayed in Villa Paolina and not the luxury suite. I believe it is the same property. When I first booked the villa through VRBO, I received an email from the owner stating that this villa was already rented but they would give me the more expensive Villa Napoleone at the same price. They assured me that I would love it even more. I was confused that Home Away would accept my deposit when it was already booked. That was January 2018. About six weeks before our arrival, I received another email stating that Villa Paolina was now available and that is where my family of five adults would be staying. Needless to say, I was concerned at this point but remained optimistic that this would be a wonderful vacation. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by an employee of the property. We were shown around the property and told that we could not use more than three appliances at a time and the lights and air conditioning must be turned off as soon as we leave the property. I was also told that we needed to let the property owner know every time we had a driver or anyone else come to the house. When my guests and I were selecting our bedrooms, I realized that the master bedroom was really a loft type bedroom overlooking the living room. Sjnce I had chosen this property for my brother and sister-in-law and my husband's sister, I thought it best that my husband and I take the master bedroom. NO PRIVACY! I requested a chef to come to the villa and cook for us one night. The representative told me that they use one of their employees and gave us a menu to choose from. The food was all store bought including the dessert. Most of what was served was not on their menu. I understood that some items we requested were not available but this was terrible. My husband requested that our cleaning fee be refunded to us because this meal was not at all what we expected or what we were told. The cook was a lovely woman and we did not want her to be penalized, but she was also our cleaning person and not a highly skilled cook. We were ignored! If we were out until late into the evening, we would leave one light on, and that light would be turned off by the time we returned home to pitch dark. Unacceptable! Villa Paolina, was down a very steep hill and most of our drivers could not make it down to the villa. Lastly, it was always a chore trying to get a car to and from this property. We have had much success in the past with VRBO.
I wish I could say the review took us by surprise, but unfortunately I knew this was going to happen when we started to receive emails asking for money back.
I am sorry for the misunderstanding at time of booking, we apologized and we've always been in contact with the clients prior to their arrival.
Yes, we welcome our clients, we show them around the villa and explain how things work. I had no idea this was upsetting. If you use 3 appliances at the same time, the power may trip, this happens all over the country and I thought I'd mention it. Nobody at the time objected to this in any way.
The villa has 3 bedrooms, one of which is open plan with the downstairs living room (you can't bee seen from downstairs). It is stated in the property description and I am sorry if they weren't expecting it. Again, the issue was never brought up during the week they stayed.
We do ask our clients to let us know if they expect someone to arrive: there are two villas on the Estate and we want to be sure the other residents are not disturbed, acces to the property is through 2 automated gates, which we can open if required. Or maybe we are just paranoid, we like being safe and to know who's coming and going!
The clients used our cook one evening: they did agree on a menu (bruschetta with tomatoes, ravioli, steak with salad and a millefoglie with chantilly cream for dessert) and they had all of the above. True: the millefoglie came from a local patisserie, the cook never meant to cheat, she always shows the grocery bills to the clients. Other desserts she makes herself but not that one. No issue whatsoever was raised over dinner. 2 days later, at time of checking out, they asked for their money back, which understandably the cook refused to do.
2 emails followed asking for refund, both duly answered by us (they were never ignored).
The cook was never given the chance to know the problem or to rectify it, and nor were we. Other reviews will clarify how unskilled she is!
The clients had no transport whatsoever arranged, and I believe this is where the problem really lies and what we are blamed for. Our location is rural and clearly stated in the listing. All local taxi companies serve us and we booked them when required, arranged private drivers and even our gardener - and no car has never ever had any problem reaching the villa. We were called even at midnight to arrange for transport for the day after, and we always did our best to help. Sadly it was not enough in this case
Anna greeted us when we arrived. She was delightful as were all of the staff! Teuta, the chef, was incredible. Not only was the food outstanding but she was so kind and her demeanor so pleasant. The views from the Villa were to die for! Tons of space. Sparkling clean. Great experience!!
Thank you so much Elizabeth, it was a pleasure to have you and your beautiful family with us, you were amazing guests!
Hope to see you soon in the future!
Wishing you the best,
Anna & Staff
We enjoyed our stay at this villa. Everyone was very nice and the house had everything we needed. The location of the villa is a little tricky at first, but easy after you find it. The area is safe and secure with a spectacular view. It is close to Florence and other small villages for easy day trips.
We had the cook prepare two meals for us. The food was excellent and she was a lovely person. Her sister helped prepare the food and serve us. We were so glad to have met them.
The gardens and flowers were beautiful.
The house is spacious and roomy with all that you would need for a stay. We would stay here again.
The property was amazing
The property was absolutely stunning. Three of us stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The villa is very secluded and relaxing. The hosts were very eager to help and organize day activities for us. There's is a chef that is available and her meals were amazing. Overall we had a great time and would definitely want to come back. I highly recommend this property.
Thank you for kind feed-back, that is most appreciated. It was a pleasure to have you all at Villa Paolina and we were more than happy to assist you in making the most out of what this beautiful region has to offer! We certainly hope you will visit us again soon.
Best wishes from Edi, Anna, Francesca and (most of all) Teuta the cook.
*****Elegant Villa in the Tuscan countryside*****
Waking up in the morning you're greeted with the rising sun that shines through the wall of windows in the master bedroom. There are curtains if you would like to sleep in undisturbed from the light that brings the mountains surrounding the Tuscan region to life.
When we were first looking at this property we were concerned with the security, as we were unfamiliar with the area and have never rented a vacation home in Italy before. Worry not, this property has two electric gates (controlled by a remote control) that you have pass through until you get to the Main house (larger one). As you pass this property you take a left down an incline to the second home, which we rented. This home was the perfect size for us and is equipped with large bedrooms and a bathroom in each room.
There is also a fence surrounding the property which adds to the feeling of comfort and safety, exactly what we were looking for.
You’re truly in the country outside the beautiful city of Florence yet close enough to be in the city within no time. This was the best of both worlds and we loved every minute we stayed at this gorgeous compound.
The owner is a wonderful lady who tended to our every need and even invited us up for dinner one night! She truly made us feel at home and towards the end of our trip we even decided to extend our trip a few extra days. Wonderful experience, we'll definitely be back when we plan to visit Florence again. Thank you Anna and Angela!

Dear Chad and Barbara,
Thank you very much for this wonderful review.
It was a pleasure to meet you: you both were such lovely and amazing guests!
We truly hope to see you again soon in Florence.
Keep in touch,
Anna and Angela
Enchanting rural setting in the Tuscan hills, right by the Chianti region. A paradise for ramblers and cyclists, the area has a strong cycling tradition and - of course - wine making tradition. Wine farms, olive groves and Tuscan country villages are scattered all around and the area offers plenty of fine eating opportunity. Famous thermal water resorts and spas are within easy reach around Siena and the UNESCO protected Florence.
The history, shops and night life of Florence are less than 20 min drive away, and the high end fashion outlet The Mall is less than 15 min drive away.
