The space

The cabin sits on over 5 acres of beautiful Montana countryside. Conveniently located off US Highway 93 West, your retreat is only 7 miles to downtown Whitefish, 45 miles from the Canada border (Roosville), and a quick 30 miles to Glacier National Park.

Biking and hiking trails are mere minutes from the cabin. A short bike ride down Beaver Lake Road leads you to the Whitefish Bike Retreat, 19 acres of wilderness bordering the Whitefish Trail System.

Internationally-acclaimed golf course, Whitefish Lake Golf Club, is located less than 6 miles from the cabin, with Whitefish Mountain Resort (for all you skiing and mountain biking fans) only 14 miles way.

Montana is known for its world-class fishing. For those who love to fish, numerous streams and tributaries are nearby, as are several lakes, including Murray Lake (3 miles), Beaver Lake (6 miles), Stillwater Lake (8 miles), Whitefish Lake (10 miles) Dog Lake (13 miles), Tally Lake (14 miles).

As of June 2016, the home has undergone an entire professional remodel, and is ready for you! The cabin sleeps 8-10, and comes fully equipped.

With 6 large, comfortable beds, and three high-quality and immediately inflatable queen size air mattresses, there s no lack of comfy sleeping arrangements! (One King, Two queens, one bunk bed (twin and Queen), Queen sofa sleeper.

Amazing Getaway

Amazing property with a stunning view. Close to everything, but just far enough out of the way to feel private. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area. 10/10.

Great family vacation

We stayed here for 4 nights and was great. Lots of beds, very comfortable family room and large kitchen. We stayed with 8 adults and a toddler and had lots of room. The owner even had a truck load of firewood delivered so we could enjoy the outside fire pit. Hot tub was an added bonus. Would definitely rent again.

Glacier Trip

We had a great stay at KC Ranch for 9 nights! Terry was a fantastic host - warm, caring and attentive to detail! The cabin was clean, had plenty of space for our 6 family members and had a ton of amenities. We were about 45 minutes from GNP and visted the park on 6 of our days while in Whitefish. Hope to return to the area in the future!

4th in Whitefish

Very impressed with the property and the owner. He was very responsive and the on-site maintenance team responded quickly to set up portable AC units to cool the upstairs due to unseasonable heat. Everything you need is there from potable chairs to coolers which makes traveling much easier. Thanks for a great stay.

Byron and his family were fantastic guests. Sometimes Montana heats up. Sometimes it cools off but normally we have fantastic weather all summer. We have three portable air conditioning and it's for those unseasonably warm days. We have every once in awhile and it really keeps the house nice and cool when mother nature throws us a curveball. We truly appreciate that we had the opportunity to help make wonderful memories and we would love to see you in the future. Stay cool! And we hope to see you real soon. family weekend

There were a few minor issues that mostly got ironed out. House was well stocked and taken care off.

Kristin We always appreciate people staying with us and we always try to give them the best experience possible. During Kristen's stay there was sub 0 temperatures And although the house is warm and cozy Sometimes mother nature doesn't cooperate Outside. Because of the sub 0 temperatures we had A part break on the dishwasher. Of course we always have A drying rack etc but We did not receive the part To Repair the dishwasher. We informed Kristen two days prior that They would have to hand wash their dishes. With Kristin only staying A-day and a 1/2 I don't believe it was too much of an inconvenience. I also pointed out to Kristen Is when you make a fire in that fireplace you need to Start the fire in the very back of the firebox so that you don't get smoke. I also instructed her to turn up the Jacuzzi to 104 Because when it's not a news we leave it at 85. When you have Is -10ﾟ outside It takes a little time to get to desired temperature. As we do with all guests we had the property snow plowed the day before her arrival. When we have sub zero temps we are only servants to mother nature. Our cabin is very up to date and very welcoming well maintained and cozy. In rhe winter time we have baseboards heaters throughout the cabin. In addition we have have Portable heaters in every room that heat up the cabin very quickly We try to accommodate all needs but mother nature sometimes creates issues. We always encourage guests to read the guidebook online and a copy at the cabin for hints and suggestions. We are always available too Our guests at anytime. Thank you again for your stay

Great location and well equipped

The cabin was clean and well stocked. Had plenty of dishes, utensils, soap (bath, shampoo/conditioner, dishwasher, laundry). Sharon always responded quickly to any questions. The 3 portable air conditioners saved us—it was in the high 90s!

Cozy

Perfect spot for family vacation. Was in the middle of plenty of hiking trails, Canadian border, Glacier Park and Whitefish Lake was close by. So many things to do around you it was absolutely amazing! Loula’s Cafe has the best huckleberry raspberry pie ever! And also the cheapest by a few bucks. Must try it! Next door is second street pizza.. so good and easy to grab and go for kids. The house had plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed watching the deer eat in the yard along with the cute bunnies. The hot tub was an extra bonus to have on the rainy days along with puzzles and games. At night it was great to sit on the wrap around porch and enjoy the outdoors. The property owner, Sharon was amazing with giving us info and ideas. She would always reply within 15min if not sooner:) we will defiantly stay again!

Winter Vacation

Our family wanted to go skiing during our winter vacation. KC ranch was an easy drive into Whitefish and to the ski resort. When we arrived, the driveway had been freshly plowed and everything was ready for our vacation. The property was perfect after a long day of skiing, with the hot tub to enjoy, and be able to warm up with the wood burning stove. My kids said it was one of the best vacations the have ever had. Sharon sent us a text message after we checked in, and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Also, Sharon was nice enough to give some local recommendations on places to visit and eat. I would definitely stay there again, if we ever go back to Whitefish. Shawn

Great property, great location.

My wife and truly enjoyed our experience at this property. The owners did a great job outfitting it with quality furniture, kitchen equipment, and small things like spices, etc. that we needed in the kitchen. We loved the setting near Whitefish, and the rabbits, deer, and chickens that came to visit. We valued our time doing activities in the Whitefish/Glacier area, and returning to the home at the end of the day to relax. Thanks for an awesome experience! We plan to return to the area, and this property.
