Also near by is The Sanctuary, Kiawah Island Resort's extraordinary hotel with it's world class European Spa, restaurant, and boutique shopping. This convenience, however, does not come at the expense of the villa's quiet and serene lagoon front setting. This is a very peaceful and relaxed environment without any feeling of urgency or busyness, even during the peak summer season.
Premier Rating: The villa has been totally renovated and refurnished by award winning Kiawah Island Resort designer Donna Horack, ASID, and is rated 'Premier' by Kiawah Island Resort. Only properties rated by and managed by the resort can legitimately identify themselves as 'Premier' properties. The resort reserves the 'Premier' designation 'for a very limited number of properties that are exceptional in every detail'. Because these properties are outstanding, they are in high demand and command higher rental rates. Keep in mind that if a property isn't rated and managed by Kiawah Island Resort it is not a 'Premier' property regardless of what the owner wants to call it.

We had a great stay. We were a group of three couples visiting for a wedding. The layout was great for what we needed, and we enjoyed going to the beach and having access to the other amenities within the resort. We hope to visit again and stay a bit longer.
Amazing stay! Close to the pool/beach plenty of room for 5 adults and a baby. Only complaint is the kitchen isn’t stocked well with cooking utensils (or dish rags).

Renters often move things around in the kitchen, but a search through the drawers and cabinet shelves will reveal an ample supply of kitchen utensils, often in duplication. The resort is responsible for sheets, towels, etc., and a call to housekeeping requesting additional supplies will get you what you want.
We loved this condo. Bed was super comfortable. The dock on the water is a big plus. Great location on the island. The owners were very responsive and kind. I will stay here again on a return visit. Don't miss the buffet breakfast as Jasmine's Porch!
Kitchen could use an update (microwave and range were in rough shape) and beds were not the most comfortable. Our family enjoyed our stay otherwise. Dock and decks were lovely!
We’ve been coming to Kiawah for 23 years. This condo was the absolute best of all. It’s so roomy and had a very well appointed kitchen. We’ll be back to this one.
We had a wonderful time at this villa. Out of the nine years that we’ve been coming to Kiawah for Thanksgiving, this was probably one of our favorite villas. We love waking up every morning with the view of lagoon, and within a short walking distance of the beach and nature center. Dave and Jan are wonderful hosts and having the rental with resort
privileges is really nice and makes for an easy check in and check out.

Really nice villa
Beautiful villa in a great location. Villa layout is especially well suited to extended families (grandparents, parents, 2 children). Well appointed and well equipped, the villa had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the porch and dock are excellent for observing the wildlife in and around the lagoon. We'll be back!
Wonderful location… well equipped kitchen ….been coming to Kiawah for 29 years…::disappointed that there was not activities in the park
In the evening like in the past.

Great location & stay
First, I have to say thank you to David & Janice for accommodating my wife & I for a much needed vacation. The location of their home was extremely convenient as we spent the majority of our time traveling back and forth from the Sanctuary, Freshfields Village, Seabrook, and Kiawah. The check in process was very easy, and is run like a resort. The home itself is well furnished and had everything we needed. If you are looking for a place to stay on Kiawah I would highly recommend this home. It's perfectly situated and has everything you need to have a great vacation. Thanks again, David & Janice
Can't beat the location to experience all things Kiawah
Villa is exactly as described. It was clean and well-designed for togetherness and privacy when needed. Quick walk to the beach and easy access to the bike paths, the Sanctuary and Night Heron Park. Although if events are going on at the park across the lagoon you will hear them (bingo, live bands, etc. but important to note there are no late night events). And the lagoon view is great! Bring binoculars so you can better see the abundant bird life and the lagoon gator who likes to sun himself on a floating platform in the middle.
We Needed a quick get away to clear our heads and give ourselves a break from CoVID . This was an awesome location and very clean, roomy - bathrooms for each bedroom . Would definitely stay again!
We had a lovely stay on Kiawah Island at the beautiful 3 bedroom 2 story condo. It has everything you need to make yourself at home. Check-in was quick. Perks of being in the resort were wonderful from take out to having beach chairs set up on the beach for you. The walk to the beach is a 5 minutes walk. We would absolutely rent this unit again and have more people with us! This time it was only the 2 of us.
We had a great time while here. Very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with very good brands. Only objection was that one bed/bath was on the first floor and everything else is on the second floor walkup. If you have a hard time with stairs, this isn't the place. Otherwise, highly recommend it.
Excellent location on pond. Relaxing on the deck. Quick 5 minute bike ride to beach, pool and town market!! Well maintained and up to date. Super comfy living room furniture

About the host
Hosted by Jan Henshaw
We both grew up in the Northeast, migrating to North Carolina in the late 1970's, in large part to get away from the long and dreary winters! We 'discovered' Kiawah in the early 80's and fell in love with the island and the surrounding area. After visits to many other islands along the Atlantic coast, we found none we liked as much as Kiawah. We bought our first Kiawah property in 1992 and our current villa in 2004. Kiawah has been our home away from home and we cherish the memories of our times there. It has been a wonderful place for exposing our daughter to the wonders of nature and to healthy, active vacationing as she has grown up and become an adult.
Why they chose this property
Kiawah Island is simply a beautiful barrier island which has been very carefully developed to preserve that beauty. Low density development has been a hallmark of Kiawah from it's original conception to the current day. Preservation of natural habitat has insured that the island is rich with wildlife, much of which is visible to the casual observer. Kiawah's 10 mile beach has been rated a 'top ten' beach in North America by The Travel Channel. Thirty miles of well maintained hiking/biking trails make the entire island accessible to even the unskilled rider. The resort features five public golf courses including the very highly rated 'Ocean Course', a highly rated tennis facility, a five star hotel and spa, and a good assortment of restaurants at various price points. Whether one is seeking a naturalist experience or more civilized indulgences, Kiawah Island is a terrific vacation venue for people of all ages.
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location! Villa is situated close to the walking bridge over the lagoon, beyond which is the access boardwalk to the beach. This means a 4 minute walk to the beach, as well as a 4 minute walk to the family and children's pools and the Nature Center at the Night Heron Park pool complex. After time on the beach or at the pools, the closeness of the villa is greatly appreciated, especially if you are carrying gear, are pushing a stroller, or have a young child walking with you.
