🏠Our Cabin is very different from other lake cabins. Our cabin was built in the longhouse style with more windows than walls. Our front deck over looks the lake that sits 20' from the shore. We have a patio to grill or sit by the fire at night. We have a modern kitchen all new appliances in 2018/21, including washer and dryer. The cabin faces west so sitting on the deck to watch the sunset is wonderful. There is a walking trail around the lake plus other trails in our 70 acre woodland. This a community, there are 11 individual owners.. The cabins are situated on approximately 1/3 of the shore line. The development of this community focuses on a balanced eco system. The property consists of a 13 acre spring fed lake, two prairies, acres of woodlands and a creek in the woods to enjoy the waterfowl that land for a rest. This property is quite difficult to explain. Our renters love it, mainly because has the feeling of "Our Own Little Idaho". Our property includes quite a large yard that can be used for Bocce Ball, Volley Ball, Croquet, and many other outdoor games. Our cabin is located just 11 miles to Elkhart Lake or Road America, it is 14 miles from some of the worlds best golf courses and it is 20 miles or less to get to Lake Michigan.

Summer and fall in Wisconsin; hiking, swimming, volleyball, Bocce ball, barbeques, relaxing on the deck looking out over the lake and enjoying the peacefulness that surrounds The Cabin. Add an evening Pit fire or indoor fireplace and you have perfection! Plan your family getaway or take some time for yourself at The Cabin. A private spring fed lake and 70 acres of walking trails. There is a water trampoline (seasonal), canoes, kayaks and paddleboats for you to enjoy. Children and dogs love the freedom to run around and explore. There is also calm and relaxation. Been planning to read a book - this is the place.

Road America is 11 miles from this private lake community. Elkhart Lake along with the infamous ⛳️Kohler golf courses are 14 miles from our lake. Lake Michigan is just 20 miles from the cabin.

Host, Mike built this long house style cabin in 2003, for our family. It is the perfect place to bring your family and spend time having fun and relaxing together. The cabin is bright and enveloping. Take some time to read, to rest, to hike, to swim, to play games, and to spend time together.

It is fabulous! Walk the cut trails through the woods and prairie, watch for deer, owls, and the waterfowl on the creek. This one of a kind place is something you must experience, we are sure you will want to return year after year. We look forward to meeting you.

Be Cautious

Cabin..beautiful. Christmas time with my family..wonderful. View..amazing HOWEVER..the owner lives in California and he relys on his property manager. Unfortunately the owner is taking the hit for..Supposed to be a blu ray player, there wasn't. Nothing to light the fire for the pit or fireplace. Had to drive out and get our own lightwr. Antenna didnt work so couldnt watch any tv especially Sunday football. . Microwave stopped working. No Christmas tree during a rental on Christmas. Had to bring our own. Dogs run free! Be aware. Dogs including mine were friendly except for the neighbor right next door. 2 french bulldogs running free barking at us, standing at our door barking and whats the worst, is one bit my dog! Luckily did not break skin but my dog no longer wanted to go outside. The final nail was at 10am on checkout day, my wife has to answer the door in a towel from her shower to the realtor(cabin is for sale) banging on the door saying she has a showing! During our rental! The property manager apologized but claimed he knew nothing about it. The realtor drove by twice while we were packing to see if we had left. EXTREMELY ANNOYING! There are o rules her for dogs, people just walk through like they own the place, horrible communication between the owner and manager and nobody knows nothing. I hope the property sells because this is not a good rental at all. Again, the owner built a beautiful home and lives in California but his manager has let him down..

Relaxing place

Plenty of room for our family of 4 plus our dog. Kitchen was well stocked. Host was responsive to our questions and response time was appropriate. The lake is beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. The walking trails around the lake were nice too. Dogs run free here, which was not a problem for us. Just something to be noted in case a renter has a dog that does not care for other dogs. Both bedrooms are in the loft and both bathrooms are on the main floor. Beautiful lake views and everyone we came in contact with was very friendly.

Lovely lake. Home can be a bit warm on hot days. Might want to bring a fan. Well stocked, workable kitchen. Relaxing deck.

Victoria (daughter), Claudia (daughter), Mike (father & husband), and Dawn, dearly beloved mother & wife, who left the world she made better every day with her love in 2020.

The following narrative was written by my mother, prior to her passing. Therefore, we have decided not to edit the paragraph below, in honor of her.

Mike and I currently live out west. Our daughters live in Milwaukee just 55 minutes south of the cabin. Mike works in Human Resources and I am a Photographer. We all enjoy the outdoors; Mike with a passion for golfing, fishing, snowshoeing, and skiing and I also enjoy those outdoor activities plus photography and gardening. Our family has 6 dogs between our three homes and the lake is their favorite place to be; ours Welsh Corgie (Rosie) and German Shepherds (Maya) our daughters Victoria's Beagles (Olive and Sully) and Claudia's Border Collie/Shepherd (Penny Lane) and German Shepherd (Eleanor). Having the cabin offers all of us the opportunity to spend quality time together, have fun and relax.

Mike built this 1000 sq ft cabin for our family in 2003 and it is absolutely one of the best things we did for our family and friends.

We hope you enjoy yourselves as much as our family does.

This property is unique. It is private and yet social. Don't miss an opportunity to spend some time at The Cabin. It is impossible to describe, our visitors are always surprised with what they see no matter how much we try to describe it them. It is a one of a kind and everyone who has visited or stayed with us loves it.

The cabin is situated on a private lake with 10 other cabins. We respect one another with giving thought to how loud we or our music is and that our property is in good order and to not leave our toys and personal items out in the 20 foot easement that surrounds the lake, when not using them. It is a beautiful place, it is a fun place and it is a one of a kind place.

This is a very peaceful environment and at times can be quite social with the neighbors.

Imagine driving on a county highway in rural Wisconsin, passing farms with acres of open farmland, passing through small towns that are not even a mile long and then turning down a gravel road, being greeted by the beautiful cows at the top of the road and continuing a short distance to find an ornate gate leading into The Willows. Upon entering you will see beautiful rustic cabins and homes with a picturesque spring fed lake directly in front of you. The remainder of the property cannot be adequately described, you must see it. This is a friendly private community that you will want to return to.
