The space was rather nice, open floor plan, water view. Modern/minimalist decor if that’s your thing, with some pretty minor paint spots on a couple interior walls to the recent hurricane (which hopefully will have gotten fixed). Location was ideal for us, a block down to the water, but far enough away for the nightlife to be quiet to our city-adjusted eardrums. We really liked the view of the water from the balcony. The only thing that didn’t work 100% was the TV remote, but since we were in La Paz, we didn’t even bother telling management. Check in / out was super easy, with low amounts of requests for a vacation rental. Water pressure wasn’t ideal, so leave a couple of hours free (or just go do something else) while you do laundry.
In person this apartment matches the listing. It is located very close to the Malecon. The night life varies depends upon the events in La Paz. It can be noisy. This may bother some people more than others. We did not have hot water upon arrival, but this was resolved. Bottled water was provided, which is very important and very much appreciated. The AC kept us comfortable. There is a market 1 block away which had most of the things we needed for breakfast and snacks for our dive days. Read the reviews to see if this is the place for you.
The apartment and parking is secure, one block from the Malecon, near the city center with restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Also there is a market a half block away, very convenient. The apartment was clean, organized and well stocked with newer kitchen appliances. I would definitely stay again and recommend.
Apartment is well appointed and location is great for the Malecon. Beds were comfortable but we found the living room furniture too hard for our backs. Water pressure is not what we are used to in the states, make laundry quite slow. There is a dog close by that barks most all evening, but he did not keep us awake. We were there during Carnival which was a lot of fun but we were not aware of just how LOUD it would be until past 2 a.m. Would stay in this property again but not during Carnival…
This apartment was everything we needed! There is a small grocery store less than a block away where we stocked up on some things for breakfast. They don’t give bags out, so be sure to bring some with you! Then we would spend the afternoons walking the surrounding neighborhoods, shopping, and going to the area museums, or just strolling down the Malecon.
The apartment is super clean & fairly well appointed with what you should need. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was some laundry detergent. And since the only television channels that we could get were in Spanish, it would have been nice to have some board games or something for the evenings. But that is literally the only things that we missed.
I would recommend bringing ear plugs if you are not used to a noisy environment. Since the apartment is only a block off of the Malecon, it does get a little noisy. There were also dogs barking a lot of the time as well. But in my opinion, such a small price to pay for the location of the apartment.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to La Paz.
