The Space:
This solar powered home features high end finishes, a large chef's kitchen, and a grand room with vaulted ceilings. Our back up generator will prevent guests from ever losing power. The home has heated floors throughout, a huge deck, game room, and luxury hotel bedding.
The home is located at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain, and is about a mile from Strong Mansion and Sugarloaf Mountain vineyard. It's perfect for yoga, golf, and other hobby retreats, as well as lodging for wedding parties.

If you need additional space, you can also rent the studio apartment located above the garage. Airbnb listing 41642631. This apartment is totally separate and can be rented by others.
Some other features include: High end chef's kitchen & butlers pantry, heated floors, 900sf deck, 3 gas fire places, 4 UHD smart TVs, Free Wifi, game room with lots of games, Washer/dryer, custom furniture and hotel quality bedding.
**Things to Note: We do not allow large events, or hosting additional guests at this property without previous approval. The house utilities can't accommodate more than 25 guests.
Wifi is fast thanks to Starlink. So wifi phone calls (smartphone) work well. Cell calls can sometimes drop.
In the event of snow or ice, the back deck will be closed for safety reasons. But we have a large covered patio under the deck that is always available. If the snow is too deep and the house is not accessible, you will be given a full refund.
If you smoke anything inside the house you will be fined.
This is a cabin in the woods, so despite our best efforts, you may see insects.
Lastly, this home is off-grid, which means we produce and store all our energy. We are also on well and septic. Energy is not unlimited, therefore summer thermostats are set at 74 and winter at 70. We appreciate any energy saving efforts, such as turning off items not being used, keeping showers short, running appliances (washer, DW) early in the day time, and closing windows when air is on.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property
The Neighborhood:
Sugarloaf Mountain is a primarily undeveloped area of west Maryland that offers quiet scenic hiking, nice restaurants and local wineries and golf courses.
Getting Around:
It's recommended that you have a car in this area, but Uber/Lyft can also be an option.
4WD car in the winter time as we do get snow occasionally.
Interaction with Guests:
We do contact-less check-ins. But we are available via phone if guests need assistance.
