Peace and quiet

It was so nice to get away from ‘it all’. The cabin is easy to find and the instructions from Louis were perfect. As it is in a countryside location, the odd creepy crawly will inevitably find its way indoors, but it is miraculous how few that is. Only one ant and a handful of the billions of mosquitoes that tormented us outside got in! Our first day was warm and sunny which meant our walk was cut short due to the unbearably persistent mossies! However, the next day was breezy, so they weren’t a problem, then we got lots of rain, so they didn’t bother us at all. The highlight for us was the wildlife. Chipmunks, Canada geese with their goslings and our favourites - the hummingbirds! The covered veranda was perfect for being outside-in and proved to me our most used room. The kitchen is excellent and the wash facilities do all you’d ever need. We highly recommend this cabin and the area around!
