Relaxing stay

This house was great for my family (4 adults, 2 couples). Neighborhood is very quiet except for the rare plane from the airport behind the property. The large screened in porch, deep backyard, and kitchen made gathering easy. Kitchen had everything needed to make multiple meals. Two different living rooms (front and back) made it so we would have our own spaces, too. One thing that was not clear on the photos is that the main bedroom with connected bathroom is off the rear living room. The second (queen bed) and third bedrooms (bunk beds) are off the kitchen in their own little hallway to the bathroom. Very relaxing and comfortable home!

PERFECT!

I have a couple of criteria when looking for a vacation place: a bathtub and a screened porch. This property has TWO tubs, including a jetted one in the master, which is one of the best I've ever enjoyed. The "regular" tub in the hall bath was comfortable and roomy, perfect for a nice soak. The screened porch was probably my favorite of anywhere we've stayed, with furniture for dining and reading/relaxing/napping. Location was convenient for all we wanted to do, kitchen was well equipped, master bed and pillows were comfy...and this was our first place with a firepit, which spoiled us! This house has everything we needed and wanted, and we look forward to a return visit.

Short weekend away, the location was walkable to lighthouse (1 mile) and tons of shopping and food options. Location could sleep 7, we had four so plenty of room for our small group.

Beach Cozy

We absolutely loved this rental. It was the perfect size. Loved the screened in porch. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a very short drive to the beach and a short bike ride to town. Would definitely stay again.

Cute cottage but Hot

The house was a cute cottage and in a great neighborhood. We actually loved the house itself but the AC doesn’t work that well and the kitchen is not insulated, so it made cooking in the kitchen impossible because it got so hot. Cooked one night and ate out the rest of the time. I will say that we called the property managers and they quickly brought in 2 portable AC units that quickly cooled the house, except it still didn’t cool the kitchen when cooking. The only reason I would give it a 3 star rating is because of the AC. Other than that it was great.

The perfect stay for our family of 5!

The pictures do not do this property justice! So full of charm! The house provided ample room for our family of 5 to enjoy dinners in each night, breakfast on the screened porch and fun activities in the backyard. We brought our bikes and loved how bike-able the neighborhood was with an easy trip to the pier or the beach. This house was exactly what we needed to unwind and enjoy our family beach vacation. The property management was super communicative and the home was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our kids agree that we will be coming back to this home next year!

Perfect house in an excellent location!

We stayed at the Blue Skies Cottage for a long weekend with friends. The house was perfect for our group! It was located so close to everything we needed and the back porch was incredible! The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped and the living rooms were very comfortable as well!

Blue Skies @ St. Simons Island

Our family scheduled this vacation on St. Simons as a High School Graduation celebration trip for our youngest and loved every minute of our time. This home was exactly as listed, very clean, cozy and near everything in a great neighborhood. We rented bicycles and rarely used the car the entire trip. If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation with a small coastal town atmosphere, great food and plenty to do, we highly recommend you start here!

Hidden Gem

What a great find! The house was clean and perfectly laid out with 2 separate living areas so kids could have their own space separate from the adults but close enough to keep an eye on them. The master is located on the far end of the house away from the other 2 bedrooms allowing for some added privacy. The screened-in porch and backyard provided more space to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. The property is less than a 5-minute drive from the town and the beach. The only minor drawback is the property backs up to the private airport but the pros of this vacation rental outweigh any cons. We would definitely recommend this property and return again in the future.

Family Wedding

Everything was great. Only complaint was a crabby neighbor who called the property complaining of noise. The call to us came around 9:12 Pm. We had a family group of 9 and one 3 yr old visiting around the fire pit. Everyone left by 10 pm. When we drove up a couple walking outside were yelling at a truck driving by who had a loud motor and was not with anyone in our group. It was surprising to us when I saw the voicemail from the Property Manager...who left a very polite message. The property was great, perfect for our family gathering celebrating our son's wedding on SSI. The one neighbor needs to learn to chill.

Blue skies all the way!

Charming and ideally located, this exceptionally clean and comfortable rental is a gem! Great layout, light filled, beautifully furnished as well as decorated on a lovely landscaped lot. Having a laundry room pocket door to the primary bath allowed more use of it without disturbing primary bedroom. Screened porch with gas fireplace was a favorite spot. Even enjoyed hearing and seeing glimpses of small planes taking off behind trees of large backyard. Only used kitchen for coffee, drinks and snacks but it’s a lovely space that appeared to be well equipped. Enjoyed pleasant walks to and from village area and around neighborhood. Also spent half a day riding electric bikes around and another few hours kayaking just a few miles from the house. Trolley tour is a good way to get an overview of the island. Trees everywhere are amazing! A host of wonderful eateries, bars, shops, historic spots and friendly people. Management company who handles the house rental was considerate, proficient and easy to work with. As you can tell, it was an outstanding stay!!

Second trip to SSI

The house met every expectation after reading all of the reviews. The finishing touch would be to provide another umbrella, chairs and a beach wagon. The drive to the beach was bearable but carrying beach items every day down to the beach was tedious.
