About this property

ALL Pets Welcome, Private Beach, Tiki Hut, Fenced Yard

Cozy, quiet home with a privacy fenced backyard for you to enjoy. You can relax in the hammock & listen to the sound of the ocean or BBQ your catch of the day. We are across the street from the public beach (lifeguards, restrooms) or you can use our adjoining private beach and enjoy the view from the 2-story tiki hut. I love to watch pelicans skydiving in to the water for their dinner.

For your pets, not only is the backyard fully fenced but we also have pet beds, bowls, towels, toys and crates to welcome the furry members of your family. Size, type, breed and number of pets is not an issue and there is no pet fee. The WHOLE family is welcome.
10% of profits are donated to local animal rescue groups (my husband is laughing and says "as if" we could keep it down to that amount. haha.)

ur little neighborhood has a dog park at the end of our street and there is an off-leash dog beach 4 miles north of us. Little dogs may prefer the river side where it is shallow for 8-10' out. Local pet-friendly restaurants are listed in our House Book.

We recently finished remodeling the home and think the kitchen is gorgeous. What people rave about, though, is the rainforest showers in the bathrooms!
The home is fully furnished with linens, pillows, cookware, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, BBQ grill, as well as spices, condiments, FAST internet, WIFI and cable TV.

The back of our neighborhood is on the river and provides a pleasant view for watching the sunset. For daytime activities, you can use the boat ramp to put in your boat or fish from the adjacent dock.

One mile down the road is livelier Jensen Beach with restaurants, surf rentals and music. Dogs are allowed on one end of this beach and surfers are on the far end of this beach. Walton Rocks is a more secluded off-leash dog beach 4 miles north which offers scooper bags, water and restrooms.

May - September is Sea Turtle egg-laying season. Talks and night walks are given by the Oceanographic Society here on the island., so you can watch as they come up out of the surf and lay their eggs on the beach!! If you're here in other months, you can enjoy a tour of the House of Refuge and see the rescue work that they do with the giant turtles.

If needed, Shower chair and toilet chairs available on request at no charge.

Great location when visiting the treasure coast area. Lots of good restaurants close by and the beach is right across. The house is well maintained and we had plenty of room for us and our 4 pets. Would highly recommend if you are visiting this area.

Great winter getaway

We spent 3 weeks with our old dog in this house. We enjoyed the area, it’s great for walking and golfing. Friendly neighborhood and great restaurants nearby! The house is very clean and comfortable and the hosts are friendly and responsive.

We do animal rescue and love to bring our dogs here along with the foster dogs. I do NOT like being separated from them and have found that other folks feel the same way. So that others could bring ALL family members on vacation, we've created this pet-friendly environment for them.
We let everyone run their feet off, playing with the waves and enjoying the dog beaches. It's so laid back for them and us to swim in the water, bake in the sun and then lay out in the backyard while we BBQ on the grill. We love our days here!!!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I love the beach and enjoy owning this home in a quiet neighborhood. We like to stay here and wake up 'at the beach'. Although we're only 30 minutes away, it's a different feeling to wake up at the ocean than to commute here. It gives us that 'island feeling' when we stay here and relax. It's also nice to walk the dogs at night and just bop across the street to be with the waves and watch the moonlight on the ocean. sigh.

Bringing your pet on vacation!! Smelling the salt air and hearing the waves even while relaxing in the backyard. Enjoy the off-leash dog beach at nearby Walton Rocks.
