About Kona Coast Vacations - SL
Aloha and welcome to the Big Island. We are thankful to Hawaii and its peoples for allowing us to work and play on this great island. Kona Coast Vacations manages over 170 condos, homes and estates along the leeward (dry and sunny) side of the Big Island ( this island is named Hawaii, same name as the State). We are located right in Kailua Kona which is about 10 minutes south of the KOA (Kona) international airport. Most people include Kailua Kona, Keauhou, Kahaluu, and Holualoa, under the umbrella of the name Kona. We also have team members living near the resort area ( about 25 minutes north of the airport) which include Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Hali'i Kai, Waikoloa Beach Resort (near the coast), Waikoloa Village (up mountain, about 15 minutes from the coast), etc. Our team of inspectors check the property before your arrival, after you depart, and we inspect the cleaners. If something is amiss, please let us know immediately on arrival and we will address your concerns ASAP. We are open seven days a week to assist guests and owners. We offer a concierge service, we have maps and recommendations on our web site and are here to answer your questions. Kona Coast Vacations has been rated excellent by Trip Advisor in 2013 and 2014, and it appears Trip Advisor only offers ratings now, and we are sitting at 4.5/5.0 based on all the reviews since 2009. We were voted the "Best Vacation Rental Agency" for 2015 and 2016- Best of Hawai'i - Lei Niho Palaoa Awards. We credit these great ratings to our reservations, maintenance and inspection team. Whether you stay with us or with another host, we hope you enjoy the Big Island of Hawaii and experience the Aloha Spirit. Please feel free to utilize our website, links and to engage Kona Concierge for booking any of your activities. Aloha and Mahalo The team at Kona Coast Vacations
This unit has the nicest view of the ocean and a wonderful porch to sit out on in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook a meal. We really loved be able to use the towels, chairs and umbrella. The place was really clean, easy to find. Nice to be close to a grocery store and also, not too far of a drive to the beaches.
Great daytime and night time views
Clean property with everything you need. There are some critters that make their way onto the patio , but is a garden unit and it’s to be expected . Neat to see wildlife around the condo : turkeys, frogs, geckos
It was just what I was looking for. Needs a little maintenance done for the sticking toilet handle and shower drain. Loved the grill and bar across the street.
Aloha! On behalf of the staff and management of Kona Coast Vacations, we very much appreciate you taking your valuable time to provide us with this very important feedback.
Please be assured that your concerns have been shared with our management team to be addressed. We appreciate you taking the time to share them with us. On your next visit, please know that we are available if you need us or if you think the unit is lacking some items. We are happy to help!
We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay & hope that we can welcome you again.
Loved the accommodations!
Thank you for allowing us to use your condo with a great view of the ocean and golf course!
Wonderful view. Perfect for two people.
This was a great location to access all parts of the big island. Very quiet and relaxing to stay in Waikoloa Village. The suite had everything we needed.
The accommodations is close to the highway and close to a number of beaches. Walking distance to a few restaurants and a grocery store.
The condo provides the bare minimum and asks a lot in return when checking out. The condo asks for the linens to be cleaned including the bed sheets. They ask for the dishwasher to be loaded and dishes to be cleaned. However there is no dishwasher. It’s tough to clean surfaces and bedding when time is limited on the island. Ideally you don’t want to spend your last morning cleaning the condo when cleaners come here anyways. No coffee is provided in the kitchen. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. My partner and I had to flip the mattress and prop up the mattress just to be able to sleep through the night and in minimal pain. If you have any back problems I would not recommend staying here. The neighbours have been loud and have been very audible every day and night.
Hale O Malia is located in Waikoloa Village. At an elevation of 900 feet overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Waikoloa Village enjoys a tropical climate moderated by cooling breezes and low humidity. Average rainfall is 6-8 inches per year. The day-night temperatures of 85 to 65 degrees make Waikoloa Village close to an ideal climate. The Waikoloa Village Shopping Center is a pleasant five minute stroll along the beautiful golf course or a quick one minute drive from your studio. There you'll find a modern food market with bakery and deli, restaurants, a bank, a pharmacy, a beauty salon and a variety of great shops to enjoy and explore. Waikoloa Village is centrally located between the towns of Kona and Waimea. The ocean side town of Kona is just 35 minutes away and has a regular open air fruit market, restaurants, espresso cafes, and many small shops for exploration. The town of Waimea is just 25 minutes away and has antique shops, great restaurants, and general shopping.
