Our Mountaineer Rustic Yurt is an extremely unique round cabin — a true octagon and it's unlike any cabin in the world. The eight main logs were harvested from great Ash trees located on the Rustic Ravines property. The trees were infected with the Ash Beatle and dying so we took them down and used them for the 8 supports for our 2 Rustic Yurts and our Gazebo. Each roof is a galvanized steel Corn Bin roof and the each have 20-feet high domes in the center. Amenities to include: West Virginia design and craftsmanship Sleeps 8 Size: 800 sq. ft. Joe’s place was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away from home. We stayed in one of the yurts for the first two nights and a cabin on the last night we were there. Both were beautiful and had all the necessities we needed, however we LOVED the cabin as it had a little more privacy. There was a buffet dinner in the restaurant on Saturday and live band under the Pavillion which was so nice! Plenty of hiking trails and ATV trails for riders. Every cabin/ yurt has a hot tub /jacuzzi on the porch which was a “must have” for us when looking for a place. Joe was very communicative and gave us perfect directions to get to the place without having to travel un-paved roads. Would definitely stay here again! We enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you!
We loved the yurt! It was clean and had everything we needed! Joe and the staff were very friendly and had a lot of information! We loved renting the side by side-so much fun!!! Beautiful area!
Great affordable place. Very peaceful. If you plan to have a fire bring your own wood, the price is completely outrageous for the small amount you get.
My husband and I really enjoyed the property for our anniversary. Joe was amazing and answered all questions that we had, including some hiking trails. We did not use the directions provided and just did GPS, but we still found the place and we enjoyed the scenic views! We will return with our children in the summer!
