Lofty Lodge on the Bourbon Trail

Come to the Bourbon Trail in the Heart of Kentucky! Stay at our beautiful lodge with large common areas perfect for hanging out! Our space is great for family trips, work retreats, or a couples get away! The lodge is located just 3 miles from from restaurants, groceries, pharmacies and shops. But at the Lodge you will enjoy the peace of the country. We are central to all the bourbon distilleries: 15mi to Maker's mark, 35mi to Jim Beam, 50mi to Woodford Reserve, Lexington and Louisville.

The lodge is the top floor of a converted old tobacco barn. Much of the year it serves as a hunting lodge hosting deer and turkey hunters. We use it as a rental during hunting off season. Every bathroom and bedroom is private. You must climb stairs to access the majority of the place. There is a DVD player and DirecTV with a complete package. There is free Wi-Fi as well. We do use the barn to store farm equipment, so we may be in and out of the barn if we are working but will not be in the living quarters. We will try our very best not to bother you!

We do also have a passenger bus that will accommodate those staying with us. We can get you set up to take on your bourbon trail adventure.

We live just down the hill at the house. So if you need us we can help you out, but promise not to bother you otherwise.

Perfect Getaway

Location is very private and was great for our getaway. We had 8 adults there and it worked perfectly with the multiple rooms. The common space was huge and was great for interacting with everyone. Owners were very prompt with communication and very friendly. Thanks for a great stay.

Fantastic Gathering Of 4 Generations Under The Same Roof

The lodge is amazingly large and spacious. We never felt crowded and everyone had their own bedrooms for complete privacy. The outdoors are very quiet and peaceful. Our family arrived from 3 different states to celebrate a wedding in Perryville and the accommodations at the Lofty Lodge couldn't have been better. The decor is amazing (and authentic). You'll spend plenty of time walking around and admiring everything from small trinkets to the large taxidermy. Everything is very clean and modern. Our hosts were great with communication and their very gentle and friendly brown lab stopped by for tummy rubs. You'll be very pleased with your stay.

Great Weekend!!

Thanks for a great weekend. This property is unique and very spacious. It was perfect for our weekend gathering of old friends. There are plenty of Bourbon tour activities very close so we be back next year to visit a few more distilleries.

Terrific Stay

We had a group of 8 for a bachelorette party. The house exceeded my expectations. It was much larger in person and was perfect for our group. The owner communicated very well and a question never went unanswered. We also rented the bus and Sam our driver was amazing! The property and bus were both clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

Seven of us stayed here to do part of the bourbon trail. There was tons of room for everyone. Property was close to our chosen distilleries. There was plenty of cooking utensils. The place was very clean as in walking barefoot my feet were clean. The listing was accurate. I would definitely stay here again with a big group.

Bourbon Trail B-Day

Celebrated a 60th B-Day with my brother in laws and toured the bourbon distilleries in Bardstown area. The house was a great landing spot to finish the day with food and rest! Would highly recommend!

Roomy, comfortable and clean.

Enjoyed our stay. Property was very clean. Only drawback was very few places to hang or store clothes. Extra hooks needed in bathrooms. One bed was broken on one side, but I feel sure the owners will address that.

This place is awesome. If you're going on a guys trip there is no better place to say. It's exactly as advertised. Plenty of room, beautiful scenery, lots of amenities. All kinds of distilleries not far away. Hosts are nice and easy to contact. Would highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at the Lofty Lodge for Derby weekend. Beautiful place! Spacious, comfortable, and had all amenities needed. Owners were awesome too!! Very easy to communicate with. They even stopped by to say hello and to check to see if anything was needed. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book there again for future events.

My wife surprised me with this trip to Kentucky and bourbon trail, me and 11 of my friends! Had a great time and can say a big part of it was this place! We had everything we needed and owners were awesome! We will definitely have to come back and would definitely want to stay here again! Clean, comfortable, and roomy! Five star doesn't do it justice!

Awesome Stay

First, the pictures do not do this place justice. The main floor, which is technically on the second floor is dramatically, huge with literally an archery range indoors on the side of the main floor. the hunting decorations are impressive and the bar is really cool the outdoor areas nice and convenient. There are large TVs everywhere. It has an office area. The dining room table sits about 18 people. I cannot say enough about this place. It is fantastic. I would only add maybe electrical warmers outside since we went in January and it was really cold. I understand that that is asking a lot but it’s something to consider. We loved our stay and we are definitely going to stay here again.
