About this property
Elegant 19th-Century House in a Hamlet on the Delaware River
Welcome to a unique vacation experience right in the heart of our little hamlet of Narrowsburg on the Delaware River’s “Big Eddy”. The house is situated on an acre of private land in a wild-like pastoral setting originally built in the 1860’s by one of the town's founding families and has recently been meticulously gut renovated boasting an entire suite of the latest conveniences and comforts including: 4 BR, 3 spa baths, plus 322 SF chef’s kitchen with butler's pantry. A spa maven and chef's dream!
The chef's kitchen has the latest Samsung Professional Series stainless appliances: 2 double wall ovens, 5-burner cook-top, convection microwave combination; plus professional vented hood, two Bosch dishwashers and French-door refrigerator/freezer; 2 brass touch faucets, and an instant hot water dispenser in the butler’s pantry.
Of the 4 bedrooms: 3 are king size, 1 has two double beds; 2 have en suite spa baths, one with freestanding soaking tub, the other with a two-person soaking tub, the 3rd with stone shower; one has a terrace looking over the treetops and features an outdoor shower; all bathrooms have heated marble floors to keep your toes toasty in the chilly upstate winters.
The entire home has been outfitted with 5 stage water filtration with no salt water softener so no bottles of spring water needed since you’ll literally be bathing in fresh filtered water.
The house is completely insulated and environmentally managed by a Nest climate control on two zones (upper/lower) for fresh air exchange plus central heating and A/C.
All bedrooms have large flat screen TV’s for your private enjoyment while in your room, including TiVo and Apple TV.
The upper level landing features a fully stocked wet bar with coffee/cappuccino/tea station for the perfect cup, plus fridge and ice-maker for those late night or early morning adult beverages saving you the long trek to the kitchen.
Guests will have full use of the entire house including high capacity washer & dryer located in the basement. The exceptions are specific pantry/kitchen cabinets, spare refrigerator in the basement and a bedroom closet that will be secured solely for owners storage.

Owner is readily accessible. The beds are comfy. The rooms get really dark. They did a great job with the decor. Everything in the house is smart. Just a few minutes from town. Would def rent again

Gorgeous house, adorable town.
Couldn't have been more pleased with this home. It was truly like a vacation -- every detail was perfect and it was spotless and beautifully decorated. Everything you'd want to see in town is a 5-minute walk, and it's also a very short drive to the river and Catskill distillery. The host was extremely responsive, informative and pleasant.

Thank you Bryn! You were ideal guests and are welcome back anytime. The house was spotless so much so that we barely knew anyone stayed.
Our stay at this incredible house was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the stunning decorations and thoughtful layout.
Every detail in the house felt carefully curated, creating an inviting and stylish atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
The house was incredibly well-equipped, especially for those who love to cook and bake. It had everything we could possibly need, from high-quality kitchenware to all the necessary ingredients and tools.
The abundance of extra linens and supplies was a pleasant surprise, ensuring we never had to worry about running out of anything during our stay.
The neighborhood itself is a gem—trendy, with a laid-back vibe that we absolutely loved. It was a perfect match for the house's unique character and added to the overall charm of our stay.
A special thank you to our host, Bruce. He was amazing—responsive, attentive, and always there to help us with anything we needed. His hospitality truly made our experience even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind place to stay in Narrowsburg, this house is it. We can't recommend it enough!
An otherwise wonderful stay was surprisingly disrupted when 10 days after our visit we received an email from the owner accusing us of "some scuffs and dents on our kitchen cabinets" and "a deep scratch that is approximately 4 inches long" resulting in the owner charging us a portion of out security deposit. We are 100% certain that the damage is not ours yet it is our word against his. We lost. We treated the home with TLC as if it were our own. We purchased charcoal since the gas grill was broken. We didn't complain when there was no toilet paper in the home requiring a run to Pete's Market. We weren't (too) bothered by all the cobwebs on the exterior. But unless you're prepared to document the condition of the entire home when you arrive, be prepared to supplement the cost of your trip with a TBD deduction to your security deposit.

We are so sorry that you feel this way. We go to great lengths to provide a comfortable, modern and more luxurious space that you wouldn’t normally find in a country rental to ensure that our guests have the most pleasant and unique stay. As our goal is return guests, this being our first claim, we were actually quite hesitant to file anything so as not to ruin what was otherwise a terrific experience with you and your family as I’d expressed to you. It took days because we arrived later in the week to prep for the next guests, noticed the damage, but also took the time to see about having it repaired so we wouldn’t need to file a claim as we don’t take that lightly. Apparently hesitating and taking that time was our mistake in this process trying not to bother you with something we could try to repair ourselves. When it was confirmed that it needed replacement, we simply followed the procedures set by VRBO to recoup the cost since it’s not a minor item. This is a deep gash clearly visible in the middle of a large kitchen cabinet door right next to the refrigerator so nearly impossible to miss. I sent you photos as proof and offered to send a copy of the invoice for the replacement as verification, but you never responded other than you didn’t believe it so were disputing everything. I expressed to you that we felt it was definitely an accident (no accusations) so felt no malice however there was damage done. We do inspect and clean the house quite thoroughly after each guest to ensure that everything is in order for the next visitor as I believe any host would do. We would have easily seen it after anyone who’d been there before your arrival which is why we know with absolute certainty when it happened. However, you’ve since charged back the claim payment so you’re actually not paying anything which we haven’t disputed. Again admitting my mistake in delaying by trying not to file anything.
However, stating that we had no toilet paper anywhere in a house this size and well-appointed is a bit of a stretch. You mentioned a roll running low in one bathroom so I immediately advised where to find backup in each room. Also, we have two grills, one side was being repaired, the other fully functional and available to use to which I advised you well in advance of your arrival. Webs outside can pop up since we’re in the country but we do take care.
We chose this house because we knew it would be comfortable for different age ranges and give us enough space to gather together. We like to cook and with this fabulous stocked kitchen we could have upgraded our repertoire! The kitchen is stocked with anything the most ambitious chef would need. There were a few questions throughout our stay and the owner was very attentive & responsive.
Beautiful new house. Recently renovated very nicely. Transitional Decore, every sin good quality. Like in a small boutique hotel.Amazing hosts who responds immediately to any questions. Our first stay in Airbnb. We came for a family reunion that was 25 minutes away from it. Will stay in the same house in a future with pleasure.
