The cabin has a nice little kitchen and eating area as well as cozy fireplace lounging area upstairs. The lower level has 3 bedroom with 1 bath. If you don’t mind sharing, then it’s a good little get away place.

Cabin issues
No running water at check in, which Carolina cabins knew but failed to inform us before arrival. The nice lady we talked to about issue did good job of finding new cabin. New cabin was top of the hill which was nice but had a broken dishwasher full of dirty dishes.

Hi James, Our apologies about the water. We were under the impression that the water issue had been corrected prior to your stay, if not we would never had allowed you to check in to a home with no water. Upon learning that the water service had not been restored, moving you to another wonderful home became our top priority and we were able to do that in a matter of a few minutes. Thank you for sharing. As always take care and safe travels.
Other than basement, house was in great condition. We were extremely disappointed that there was no DVD player with the upstairs TV -- there is one shown in the photo and listed in the VRBO account of house.
However, someone from the property management responded to our request for one very quickly -- and installed it while we were out the first evening.
Unfortunately, we could not make it work when we returned and just didn't bother to call again.
The house proved to be an excellent retreat for us from the family group we were visiting with. Sixteen of them were staying in a huge, fancy house nearby.
Clean, fantastic deck, great downstairs for teens, some comments have said is was loud due to loft area but MBR quiet, well built house, near restaurants and the Blowing Rock Food Lion,

Thank you so much for sharing. Knowing our guest had a great time and enjoyed the property is its own reward! Take care and we hope you will revisit sooner rather than later.
Very nice home with a gorgeous view and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Loved the wrapped around deck with seating around to enjoy the view. Clean and very relaxing! Only wished there were tv's in the bedrooms but overall enjoyed it and had a great time! We will be back! : )
The house perfect for the trip my friends and I went on. It was very spacious, had an easy check in/check out process and felt like home! We did have trouble with the hot water running out, but when I notified the property manager about the issue, they replied within minutes and sent maintence out to fix it! I think this house is perfect for a getaway weekend.
Our family ( 2 adults + 2 elementary school aged children ) booked this house for a 3 night stay in mid-January. We planned the trip to include one day at Hawksnest Tubing and one day at Grandfather Mountain. We didn’t expect to have so much snow on the ground - it was amazing and such a treat for all of us! The house was a cozy, comfortable place to stay! Lots of beautiful natural light and great views. At night it was a bit dark to read a book - just need a few more lights. Small kitchen but well equipped for cooking easy meals. The house is located in an HOA that keeps the roads plowed and it was reassuring to know we would be able to get in/ out despite the snow. We did bring our Jeep with 4x4 and the driveway would not have been passable without that. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The basement game room was cold but rest of the house was very warm and comfortable. Just a lovely house in a great location in a beautiful part of NC.
The house was a great size for our family of four...2 adults and 2 kids. The gas fireplace was perfect for warming the house up, the bed was comfortable, and the house was clean. The location was great...good distance to all of the attractions we planned on attending. I struggled with the light switches...there either weren't light switches available, or the lighting was poor in some of the rooms. We adjusted after awhile though. Be careful on the outdoor stairs. Most of the stairs were covered in ice, and could have been awful if someone had fallen. We used a lot of caution climbing the stairs. We did have to email the property manager about the sticky Roku remote, and received a prompt response. The remote didn't get replaced, but we were prepared and brought our own remote!
Lovely home, well equipped and clean and cozy!
Plenty of room and the set up is ideal for a family with children. Amazing views from the front porch and close to all of the local must see places. My only problem was that the steps and rocks are SUPER slippery when wet. They had moss growing and my husband slipped and busted his butt. This is just a natural occurring thing in nature, so watch your step! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️All the way!
We feel fortunate to have found this place. The location gave us easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock & the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house provided us with comfortable beds, a fun game room, a peaceful living area with nice gas fireplace & a great fire pit to make s’mores!
Very clean house & great view of mountains. The rooms upstairs were warm & used fans for cooling.

Lovely mountain house
Great house- well situated, clean, nicely furnished with beautiful mountain views. Comfy beds, cozy space. Loft upstairs nice but AC doesn't cool too much on hot days for 2nd floor.

Summit Haven
We enjoyed our stay here. Lovely views and house was very nice. I would suggest putting a TV in the master bedroom, especially since the living room and open loft TV's are close together and each one is drowning out the other, that was a little annoying at night when my husband and I wanted to relax and watch a show. We had a nice time and I would recommend staying at Summit Haven. Thank you for having a comfortable bed, that is a big deal when we are away from home.
