The perfect place to stay while we waited for our permanent house to become available. Hosts were very responsive and helpful, sunset views were beautiful from the balcony, and the neighborhood is SO quiet. Cool views of evening thunderstorms across the valley too.
Property is one of our favorites. Master bedroom's bed was new and improved. We love the location and the gorgeous views from the property. We will be back, count on it🙂

Excellent Location, very unique house and yard.
House is roomy, clean. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. We had a hard time getting entrance info, could not contact manager. Once in, very nice.
Suggestion: check stair rails, also need to put rubber strips on the stairs as one of our ladies slid down the stairs when cloth houseshoes slipped. Also, need mirror in downstairs bdrm.

Not Satisfied
We picked this property because of location and convenience and the amount of room. However the upstairs master bathroom was dirty with urine under the toilet seat, black shoe prints in the the bath tub. Pillow cases had stains on them in the upstairs and downstairs bedroom. Upstairs hallway bathroom toilet backed up we were able to clear that but then the bathtub backed up as well. Floors down stairs were also dirty. Down stairs nest that controls the heater was not working. Notified the owner and was told it needed to be charged. He neglected to mention he was going to come by to charge it at the house and did not specify where it was located and I stubbled upon the nest being charged in the entry way as we were leaving the house Friday afternoon, After it was on the charger for 24 hours I plugged it in to the wall and it did not work. The bottom floor of the house was cold for the entire time that we stayed at the house. I did not receive a message after encountering this problem with the heater to see if the problem was resolve and working. I feel the host neglected to make sure that the issue of the heater was resolved and our well being was not considered.

Nancy, you reported the Nest Thermostat was not working. I was on the phone with you telling you how to operate it, but it was not responding. Since i was out of town i sent my maintenance man over. Who put it on a charger to make sure it was fully charged. Long story short. It was not discharged. You reset the thermostat which disconnected it from the network. It was your operator error. All you needed to do to operate the thermostat was turn the dial. I responded imeadiately to your call and sent help. You caused the problem, caused me a service call fee and then gave us a bad review. Not very professional.
Same thing with the toilet backing up. We are on a septic system. We have notices in the bathrooms about not flushing baby wipes down the toilet. The toilet would not flush and backed up because it was plugged up with baby wipes. The entire plumbing and drain lines were replaced when the home was remodeled 7 years ago. There are no plumbing problems with this house. I sent a company to check on the problem. The discharge filter in the septic tank was blocked by baby wipes. It would not allow water to exit the tank to enter the drain field. This cause the line to back up, making the toilet and shower back up.
As a owner/host, we can have a home in perfect condition but we cant keep control the actions of our guests.

Not what we thought.
The house was no at all what we expected. When we got there, we had 2 beds that the sheets were dirty, and we had to wash, 1 bedspread was dirty, in the bathroom upstairs - the bathtub faucet was coming off the wall… this is the first house that i have ever stayed in that did not have things in the house - extra toilet paper, no coffee, no spices, etc.
it was not worth the money we paid for it.

Beautiful Views, great kitchen, beds not comfy :(
The home was clean and the outside area was beautiful but none of the beds were very comfortable. My partner and I slept in the Master and there were 2 twin mattresses pushed together on a king box-spring to make up the king size bed. We are cuddlers and it was impossible to sleep next to each other because of the gap. Offered all the cookware and appliances you need so that was a huge plus!

I'm sorry you did not find the master bed to be comfortable. The mattress is only a couple of years old and of high quality. It is actually an adjustable bed and each side can be adjusted and has a message function. Most of our guests have enjoyed this bed. .
The listing for this property doesn’t do it justice. This huge house sits high in a beautiful rocky hillside overlooking Alamogordo. Enjoy sunsets from the upper deck or relax in the back seating area that faces the hill. The multi-jet showers are amazing!! The house is very clean. We loved our daily visits from the neighborhood quail and watched fighter jets from Holloman, (runway visible from deck). Quiet neighborhood. Felt safe and secure.
We were pleasantly surprised at this house which definitely met our needs when we had to tend to real estate business in Alamogordo. It was large and had a beautiful kitchen and a nice fire pit area ( tho a bit toasty in June to use).
The view was great, especially at night.
There was a family of quails who came to the yard in the AM . The TVs were nice and the updated modern showers were fantastic.
We had a lovely time.
