CHUCKELLI FARM's COZY COTTAGE

Escape to our cozy cottage, nestled on two beautifully maintained acres shared with the main house. This charming, standalone retreat offers the perfect place to unwind. The property features over 60 fruit trees, two friendly cats, a small dog, and a few chickens—giving it a peaceful, country feel.

The fully fenced property offers privacy and security with a gated entrance and code. We can accommodate up to two vehicles, and the cottage is just a short walk down a garden path from the parking area.

Conveniently located in the heart of Placerville, we’re close to shopping, the Placerville Fairgrounds, local wineries, Apple Hill, and skiing. Downtown Placerville is just minutes away and full of great dining, shops, and entertainment.

We’re animal lovers and welcome your well-behaved pup! Just a couple of requests: please don’t leave pets unattended, and be sure to clean up after them. We’ll provide a water bowl and biodegradable waste bags to make things easy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chuckelli Farms, the property was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and attentive, while still giving us privacy and space. The location was near shopping and restaurants, but far enough away where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. We highly recommend a stay here!

Perfect Little Cottage

My wife and I loved staying at the cottage. It was very clean, cute, private, and comfortable. The AC worked great and the bed was comfy enough. Overall a fantastic stay at this cottage, if you’re in the area don’t hesitate to stay here!

Adorable, quiet and comfortable. Small, but cozy. Didn't miss having a TV! Has enough other amenities that you shouldn't want for anything. Plus, there are many convenient stores within minutes. The grounds are lovely and Sunny & Cher, the two cats, will keep you company as you sit outdoors, relaxing. Or feed the chickens, they'll appreciate it. It was a pleasure meeting the owners. Hope to return for another stay.

Peaceful getaway

Chuck and Kelli were great hosts. I needed an iron, and Kelli provided it right away. We had everything we needed...coffee maker, refrigerator, comfy bed, charging stations, guide on what to eat and where to visit. Sweetie Pies was a great recommendation for breakfast on Main St. We went there twice! The property is filled with fruit trees, chickens, two kitties, and a lovely patio. If we go back to Placerville, we'll definitely stay here.

Beautiful Cottage and Grounds

Wonderful in all ways. Clean, with plenty of hot water, and so tastefully decorated! Kid size chairs on the deck are thoughtful, and they worked for me. Will definitely recommend!

We love this property and love sharing it with others. Chuck is in full time ministry at our church and I love running this vacation rental, coordinating weddings, work as a part time office manager at our church and do various crafts to sell during the Christmas season. We love our little town of Placerville and all the history it holds.

Why they chose this property

Come relax! This property is host to over 60 fruit trees. The main crop is Fuyu Persimmons, but also: Asian and Bartlett pears, apple, fig, peach,plum, pomegranate, grapes, walnut, apricot, and lime. We have a small garden in the summer time and in the winter, we take a break and let our bodies and the ground rest!

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is very private. We have 2 acres of well maintained lawns, orchard and unique trees. We have hosted a few weddings for our family. The weeping willow is a favorite as well as a 300 year old oak tree that has been wrapped in wisteria vines. There are several seating areas around the property for you to relax in and enjoy.
