At the foot of the Château de Saumur, 50 meters from the edge of the Loire, 2 minutes' walk from the bustling Place Saint Pierre, in a beautiful tufa stone house, Patrick and Ken welcome you to this magnificent duplex apartment of 110 m2 with its parking in a large enclosed courtyard, its terrace and its private terraced garden overlooked by the majestic castle of Saumur. It includes two bathrooms, one with walk-in shower, a bathroom with spa bath, 3 bedrooms, a loft bed, direct access to the terrace and the garden. Contact us for a quote if you are a group of more than 7 people.

Note: We accept clean dogs but unfortunately we cannot accept our friends cats because of the many people with allergies and who could be inconvenienced.

Fabulous Location

Large apartment, furnished well. Lots of space and well equipped. Excellent to have parking so close to town. Saumur is a delight and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Terrace is an added bonus too.

Great holiday

We were welcomed on time by the host. He is obviously a very interesting man and we were able to glean a little about his work and look at his books. The property is stunning and the location is excellent. Perhaps someone could give a little attention to the shower as temperature control was difficult. Would love to return.

Family get-together

We were very happy with the location and the accommodation itself which is split into different levels so there was an amount of privacy for our group. The garden terrace was a lovely place to hang out in the afternoons with a glass of Loire Valley wine. There was plenty to see and do in the area and the Saumur shops had everything you could want. The Saturday market was exceptional in which case if you’re planning a trip here, come on Friday and stock up at the market with fruit, vege, cheese, meats, bread etc. In the accommodation itself the only thing I would ask for is more kitchen utensils and equipment. Eg. a grater would have been very useful and to have the knives sharpened. Also there were only 3 wine glasses! A little dismal considering it’s a major wine region. Regardless we had a lovely time here. Thank you!

An amazing city apartment

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful and spacious apartment in central Saumur. Patrick and Ken were very welcoming and helpful on our arrival and promptly responded to any questions we had in the run up to our stay. The apartment is very well equipped and an ideal location for for exploring the delightful city of Saumur and the surrounding areas. A highlight was enjoying breakfast and an evening barbecue in the garden with stunning views of the castle.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour à Saumur. L'appartement est idéalement situé à 2 minutes d'une jolie petite place avec des restos sympas. La vue sur le château nous a réjouit tous les jours! Que c'est beau. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la terrasse aménagée pour un apéro ou une grillade. L'appartement a été rénové avec beaucoup de goût et est très fonctionnel, même à 6! Rien à redire! Merci à Patrick et Ken pour leur accueil, leurs conseils et leur gentillesse. Merci à Daniel pour ses explications et sa disponibilité. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

Well-located apartment with a gorgeous terrace.

The apartment worked very well for six adults. There's plenty of room and the bedrooms are separated from each other so we didn't feel at all crowded. Everything was clean and orderly. Good laundry facilities.The owners met us when we arrived and were very helpful. The terrace is directly below the castle which makes it very picturesque. There's a plaza with restaurants and shops about a five minute walk away. The plaza is also where the Saturday market is held.

Eine tolle Unterkunft mit guter Lage

Leider ist die deutsche Übersetzung nicht korrekt. Es sind nicht vier Schlafzimmer - zwei Betten sind auf der Galerie und nicht in einem geschlossen Raum. Das war für uns etwas ungünstig. Die Küche ist für acht Personen etwas klein - aber wir haben uns trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett.

Eine wirklich tolle Ferienwohnung über zwei direkt unterhalb des Schlosses mit Dachgarten, drei Badezimmern, acht Betten, Waschmaschine, Trockner, Parkplatz... Nur die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein (vor allem wenn es denn wirklich acht Personen wären). Aber der Blick macht alles wett. Dank an den Verwalter Daniel, der immer ansprechbar war. Wirklich empfehlenswert. Eigentlich 4,5 Sterne.

Ein echter Fund! Super Wohnung, gut gelegen.

Nach einer freundlichen und informativen Begrüssung hatten wir einen sehr komfortablen Aufenthalt in dieser grossen und angenehmen Wohnung am Fusse des Schlosses von Saumur. In der Nähe des Zentrums aber trotzdem sehr ruhig, sowie perfekt für den Besuch dieses Teil des Loire-Tal. Modernes, geräumiges Bad, schöne private Terrasse und Garten für den Apéro, zwei Parkplätze und ein gutes Restaurant auf der anderen Strassenseite. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft sehr! Location Fidele à la description.

Avons rencontré malheureusement des coupures électriques (sur 6 jours de location trois jours pendant lesquels nous n'avons pas eu d'eau chaude. problème de douches....) . A part cela la location est très bien. Le propriétaire a été réactif aux problèmes................ Endroit calme et reposant tout en étant proche du centre ville. je recommande cette location qui est très accueillante et spacieuse. Saumur est une ville très agréable.

Merci pour ce commentaire. Nous avons connu pendant votre séjour un impondérable, heureusement très exceptionnel, comme il peut en survenir dans les meilleures maisons du monde. Une panne dans la production d'eau chaude de la chaudière gaz que le technicien d'Engie n'a pu parvenir à réparer qu'à sa troisième intervention. Nous espérons en tous cas que les nombreuses intentions pour vous rendre le séjour dès plus agréable et la remise que nous vous avons consentie auront été appréciées.
