About this property

White River trout fishing/reunion getaway in Flippin AR w/boat ramp & game room

Welcome, we are thrilled you are taking time to visit our site. Ken and Mary Ann are the managers of our property. They are extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about fishing on this part of the river.

This remote 2.8 acre property sits on over 300 ft of White River bank frontage. Our Bunkhouse has a nice covered deck that is perched above the White River with a bird’s eye view. There is a smaller concrete pad below with more seating. The Bunkhouse has three bedrooms with sleeping arrangements for 14 guest. A fully stocked large kitchen, seating for 10 plus TV trays to dine. On the second upstairs floor there is a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. On the lower floor there is a refrigerator, coffee maker, full size bed, and a single bed. The bottom floor also has its own bathroom with shower and outstanding views of the river. In addition, on the bottom level there is a game room with pool table, big screen TV, poker table, and lots of seating. This area has two garage doors that can be opened while guest are watching TV and enjoying games.

Our unique grassy landing is located right on the river bank just a few steps from the Bunkhouse. By a few steps, we mean a staircase leads down to the landing that gently slopes to the water’s edge. The landing has a pavilion, wood swings, a boat ramp, grilling area and another fire pit. If someone in your party doesn’t maneuver stairs well, it is possible to drive them to and from the landing below in your own 4X4 or side-by-side.

There is one other rental on this property, so it is always possible additional guest could be on the site. That VRBO separate listing is ID#1617689. However, there is plenty of individual group parking, separate outdoor grills, seating, and fire pits. Each facility is entirely separate, but are available for any group to rent both if the dates are available. If you are interested in renting both look up ID #1857182.

If your group likes fishing bring your pole because the White River can’t be beat for catching trout. Guest can easily access fishing off the bank or by launching their own boat at our private boat ramp (4X4 vehicles recommended). Your hosts can also set up a group guided fishing trip with a shore lunch included, plus you can be picked up and dropped off here. You can even drive the short distance and rent a boat or kayak from Ken and Mary Ann’s dock at their lodge. They will even discuss catering meals for your group if you are interested.

Once you’re back from fishing, we are ready to help your good times keep rolling. This property is perfect for outdoor cooking, reminiscing, and for making memories. We have gas or charcoal grill options, deep fryers, and an outdoor rotisserie. We even have Buddy’s large cook box stocked with charcoal, lighter fluid, grilling utensils, aluminum deep frying pans or his large cast iron skillets for cooking up a batch of fried potatoes and onions, or bacon and eggs if you are an early riser. Let the fire in the fire pit roll as you watch the trout jump and the fog move in over the river (firewood included). Bring your s’mores because we have fire pits on the top and bottom level. Your group should enjoy peacefully relaxing as you visit with your family and friends in the large area outside overlooking the river.

If your schedule allows, make your stay long enough to enjoy some very unique local attractions. Bullshoals Dam along with the lake is a beautiful must see attraction that is within a 30 minute drive from us. Enjoy a meal from several great restaurants in Bullshoals. The Jim Gaston Vistor Center overlooks the Bullshoals Dam. It has spectacular views and superb historical exhibits making it a must see local stop. The Bullshoals boat dock is a great place to rent bass boats or house boats as well. Numerous antique stores can be found within a 50 mile radius. Mountain View is known for their down home country charm, their pickin’ & grinnin’ on the square, and Blanchard Springs Caverns, it’s all about 1.5 hours away. Canoeing the famous Buffalo National River at the Point or hiking their well marked trails is a favorite of many local residents. That is about a 40 minute drive. By boat the mouth of the Buffalo River opens up into the White River only a few short miles below King’s Landing. If your looking for more of a challenging hiking situation the Buffalo National Wilderness area has 30,000+ acres, and is only a short distance away. We recommend only experienced hikers and hunters tackle that area because of its rugged terrain. The world famous Branson, MO is also within 1.5 hours with music shows, amusement parks, go-karts, mini-golf, and lots of shopping available.

We have the room for your next large gathering. (If your group is really large and needs additional space you might consider booking the Lodge next door too (ID# 1857182), which sleeps an additional 9 guest.) King’s Landing has room for your group to spread out, cast a hook, pitch a soft ball, throw a freesbie, or horse shoe with room to breath. We do have WiFi and cell service, but if you are a stickler in need of high speed fiber and four bar cell service we may not meet your needs in that area. As owners, we believe the highlight of your trip will be slowing down your pace to enjoy our beautiful property right here in Rea Valley with friends and family.

Best Vacation Ever!
This VRBO is perfectly located on the beautiful White River. River and mountain views were wonderful and it was just a short walk down a flight of outdoor stores to the river's edge for fishing, wading, and boat launch. There were 12 of us, six adults and six children - and EVERYONE had a blast. In addition to the river activities, we enjoyed the very nicely furnished game room downstairs and the large yard for badminton, volleyball, corn hole and water balloon fights. For us it was an expensive splurge, but worth every penny in terms of having a great family time together and creating lifelong memories in such a beautiful setting. A real bonus was the cool breezes wafting off of the river on some sun-scorched June afternoons. Wonderful place to stay!
