Two of the beds are custom built, king size sho sugi ban platform beds. If you are interested in this ancient Japanese technique of using fire to blacken and preserve wood, I will be happy to explain the details of the construction. This house is located in Big Water, UT - 20 minutes to Page, AZ, 10 minutes to Lake Powell beaches, 0 minutes to privacy, spectacular views and dark skies. Oregano, Rosemary, Lavender and Thyme in the garden are available for cooking, or just to scent your pillow while you sleep. You will be in easy driving distance of beautiful parks and monuments, such as Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, the Grand Staircase Escalante national monument, the Paria wilderness, Zion's National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The house sits above Wahweap creek, and you can hike along the rim for spectacular views, or drop down to explore the creek and many side canyons on foot, with a trailhead just a few blocks from the house. Away from the lights of town, the stars are brilliant, perfect viewing for meteor showers. Come and find your oasis at Lake Powell!

A lovely house with a spectacular view.
This is a lovely spacious one level 3 bedroom, two bath house with a spectacular unobstructed view. Communication with the host was smooth, she was very responsive. The kitchen is very well equipped With plenty of cookware to host even a large gathering. The three bedrooms offer plenty of privacy, blackout curtains, and comfortable beds. We had two restful nights in this beautiful spot. Would definitely rent again.

Can’t beat the view and the solitude
We rented the house so we’d have a place to crash after hitting a bunch of hikes in the region. It was great, the full amenities in the kitchen, the large beds and the patio were much appreciated. The owners communicated easily with us if we needed anything. Would stay again.

Stunning home and landscape
This was a perfect setting to relax after touring the amazing highlights in the area- Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell. The house and setting were gorgeous, the rooms were large, the beds were comfortable, and all the amenities were provided. The yard and view of sunsets and sunrises were breathtaking. I don't usually do so many superlatives but they fit. Thank you so much!

Hello. I am a nurse at the hospital in Page, Arizona. The house was the house my brothers and I built for our parents, and I did not want to sell it, as I planted the trees and collected the rocks for the garden. I am happy to share it with you.

Why they chose this property

Peace, privacy, the amazing, amazing views which cannot be adequately conveyed by a cell phone picture, I will have to work on that. Coffee or tea on the porch in the morning, in the evening, curling up by a real fire after the days adventure, or gathering around an outdoor fire in the evening to toast marshmallows. dark skies, the stars are incredible, and even in a small town such as Page, the street lights take away the view of the milky way.

What makes this property unique

You can walk out the door and hike along the rim of Wahweap creek without getting in your car, or drive out into the Grand Staircase Escalante monument and be there in 5 minutes. 10 minutes to Lake Powell beaches. If you want a pizza or dinner in town, its 20 minutes to Page. If you are cooking, you are welcome to gather oregano, thyme, lavender and rosemary from the garden.
