About this property

As the owners of Horseshoe Cabin we welcome you to experience privacy and views! It's a great time of year to be at Horseshoe Cabin!! Picture yourself sitting in the private hot tub on the back deck, enjoying the stunning year-round Mountain View’s! Great privacy with easy access to the cabin and to the fire pit in the backyard. Come and enjoy all the outdoors has to offer. Great time for hiking, visiting the waterfalls and playing golf as well. We are a short drive to Asheville and a 35 minute drive to Harrah's Casino in Cherokee. It's a great time of year to visit the NC Mountains!! All restaurants are open for dine in and downtown Waynesville is always busy with visitors. Our favorite dinner spot is Frankie's Italian Trattoria Restaurant on Soco Rd. in Maggie Valley which is not far from the cabin. (Best Eggplant Sicilian and Veal Parmigiana) Please be sure and call for reservations in advance.

Our full size deck off the living room is open to the south with a covered porch on the west side with rockers. Hot tub sits on the south side of the deck with easy access through patio doors from the family room. There is a gas grill and a table with 4 chairs on the deck for your use any time.

The kitchen is furnished with seating for 4 at the table and 2 seats at the breakfast bar. There is a gas fireplace in the living room (it is turned off during the the summer season which is May 31 - September 5, 2023. We do have a fire pit in the backyard for your use and with easy access from the deck and enough wood for your first fire is provided.

Master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a queen size bed. Both bedrooms have HDTVs and cable and living room has HDTV. All TVs are set up with Spectrum cable with access to Netflix and many other streaming apps as well as free WiFi. Full size futon in the loft upstairs for private reading time if you'd like.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are supplied with linens, towels, toilet paper and soap to get you started. Kitchen is stocked with cookware, plates, utensils, dish towels as well as paper towels, napkins, foil, many spices and dish detergent to get you started on your vacation.
Lots of games to keep you busy if you prefer to spend some time inside the cabin.

NOTE: There is $85.00 fee for the hot tub to cover the cost of draining and certified cleaning after each guest's stay.

NOTE: $300 refundable damage deposit is required.

Relaxing Weekend

The property was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The only down side was that I had to take my garbage with me in my car because the trash can was broken. I was asked to drop trash at a trash center that is closed on the day of my check out. The owners did not offer to take care of the trash or have the housekeeper take the trash. The cabin was also very hot and thermostat was locked with a code so only the owner could change the heat/cool setting remotely.

The best Christmas Cabin for family

We had the best time celebrating Christmas with our kids! The cabin and views were amazing! They even took the time to decorate for Christmas prior to our arrival, inside and out. The kids loved it! We will surely be back!

Quiet little home base for a long weekend

We were in town for a family wedding, and the cabin was a great little quiet spot for our toddler to rest. I just wish we'd had a little more downtime there!

Richard and I were new to Maggie Valley but when we spent our first weekend here we new we wanted to find a log cabin that would allow us to escape the coastal Carolina summer heat and get the feel of the fresh cold winter air. Seeing the snow on the ground recently made the cabin feel that more special.

After owning our cabin for just a short time we realized how much we enjoy our time there and try to visit as much as we can Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter!
We found the North Carolina mountains to be the perfect spot! It's an easy drive to Asheville and minutes from shopping in downtown Waynesville and Maggie Valley. There are great hiking trails and waterfalls in the area and skiing during the winter months at Cataloochee Ski Resort just 15 minutes away.

Our cabin is set up for couples who want a romantic get away for a few days, a week or even a month. The cabin is in a peaceful and relaxing setting. Come see for yourself!
We know you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Enjoy local festivals all year long including Christmas at the Biltmore Estates in Asheville which is only a 40 minute drive from Horseshoe Cabin. In the winter time enjoy Cataloochee Ski Resort and Tube World which is only a 15 minute drive from the cabin!

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with our cabin when we first walked inside. So much light and open space on the first floor with floor to ceiling windows in the family room which make this cabin very welcoming. The mountains views are wonderful especially while sitting in the private hot tub on the deck! Come visit and experience what we are talking about! It is an easy ride from the Maggie Valley Golf Club any time of year!
