Cozy and comfortable describes this studio condo located on the penthouse level in Lasata at The Grand! The location is perfect - a few yards from the Baytowne Wharf boutique shops and restaurants, and steps away from the tropical lagoon swimming pool and hot tub at The Grand. Furnished with comfort in mind, there are 2 queen beds, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is compete with a mini-refrigerator, a coffee maker, a blender, and dinnerware for breakfast and snacks on the go.

Getting to the beach is a breeze - just hop on the tram and head straight to the sand! The Resort offers a sandy white beach, world-class golf, a state of the art tennis center, fishing of all sorts, a full marina, walking trails, boating, and countless activities for the family. Enjoy shopping and dining experiences, as well as the many special events happening weekly. You will love being just steps away from the remarkable tropical swimming pool complex! In addition to the lagoon style swimming pool & hot tub, there is also a full exercise room available to our guests at no charge. Our cozy studio at Lasata is truly the perfect choice for an enjoyable vacation.

The Baytowne Wharf is a delight! Walk to world class restaurants, boutique shopping, and a variety of family-friendly activities such as a zip line, bungee-trampoline jumping, evening entertainment, a carousel, rock climbing wall, a kids playground area and remote controlled boats. There are often 'movies on the lawn', art displays, festivals, and special events held at Baytowne Wharf which is the heartbeat of the Resort. Fireworks are a weekly treat during summer time. Studio units are not equipped with a washer/dryer. There are coin operated laundry facilities available for guests to use on the 1st floor of the building.

*HOA PARKING: Due to the parking configuration and the building association, this condo does not come with an assigned parking spot OR have access to the complex parking garage. If you are bringing a vehicle, it will have to be parked in overflow parking outside of the parking garage, which is a 5 minute walk to the unit.

CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival receive no refund unless the guest purchased travel insurance. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking.

No parking, and door peephole was missing!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Parking garage was not part of the rental, so the available parking was a good 5 minute walk to the property which wasn’t ideal. Also, the door peephole was missing, so basically there was just an open hole in the door to the room. Also, the door safety latch wasn’t properly installed, so it was no use. We contacted the property management company. They sent someone to fix the safety latch, but we were told they didn’t have the correct peephole for the door. So,they said they would just provide a temporary fix. The temp fix turned out to be a piece of tape over the hole, and the tape was placed on the OUTSIDE of door!The condo has a great location, but our experience could have been better!

The unit was nice but not sure why the name says “Penthouse”. It’s not on the top floor and nothing spectacular about it. The decor and the furniture were nice but the beds were pretty horrible, really high and made horrible noise. Also I would recommend replacing the coach with a table and chairs so there is a place to eat. It’s was hard to get on the beds and have food in the hand The floor had sand on it and I hate the feeling of that on my feet in the room. Also not sure about the see through peep hole on the door, that was disturbing. The location was great, close to the bigger pool, restaurants and the festivities Wish it had parking in the building, otherwise the walk was pretty far

July 2023 Stay

The unit is nice but not sure why it’s called a “Penthouse”. It’s not on the top floor and nothing spectacular about the unit The beds were pretty awful, really high and made horrible noise getting on/off and turning The location is great when you don’t want to be on the beach. They have busses that take you to and from the beach. The pool was really nice The floor wasn’t clean, full of sand. I suggest you put a small table instead of the coach so there is a place to eat

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed at the resort for almost a week. We did enjoy our visit to Destin and Miramar Beach. Great time! In fact, we are planning a trip back, however we will not be staying at The Grand again. Our main issue with the stay was the fact that upon arrival, there was no one to help us figure out parking. Once we did, it was a LONG way from the unit, as parking is not including with the unit rental. Secondly, in general, the unit was hot.... But there are strict instructions that the visitors are not to turn the unit lower than 70. 70 degrees doesn’t keep up with the heat of the area in mid-summer. Yes, the unit was nice and it was clean. The location of the unit is in the best building (there are 4 buildings total... the one you see in the pictures is the main building) in location to the Baytowne Wharf. That to me is the only real positive. The balcony is small (two people tops... which was fine for us!) but it is awkwardly close to the neighbor’s balcony and the view is of the inner courtyard and entrance to the building. No beautiful sunsets from there. I read one review that mentioned the unit being a “glorified hotel room” referring to the size. I would have to agree. I sort of wish we would’ve saved some money and actually stayed in a hotel and had our vehicle parked just outside (or nearby) the door. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The wharf is worth a visit, but I would say the overall atmosphere of the resort was a tad “uppity” for my taste. If you do go there, though... Hammerhead’s burger and fish sandwich are both awesome!!
