The place was super outdated.. the hot tub had an orange muck around the waterline and it smelled like farts. And she doesn’t mention it’s a house with split rentals. There was someone else staying and playing the piano late night. Then the next morning someone’s scary dog was watching my kids from the window growling. That was unsettling. And the doors don’t lock in the garage area connected to my rental. Beginning of every scary movie. No thanks, never again.
Ill give it a generous 4. The hot tub sits in what sits like an unfinished garage. With a skewed view of the lake. The apartment is old but had nice features. Like the electric woodstove. Most parts of the apartment are old. The bathroom and bedroom were slightly underwhelming. The chickens were friendly and interesting. It wasnt a 400 a night place in my opinion.. but it was very clean and well represented by the owner. And she was extremely kind and accommodating with check out. Also there is people above the apartment so take into consideration. Overall it was a great stay. Take for granted for feature stayers.. my bmw barely fit in the driveway! 2015 435i
It's a beautiful lake and you can really relax here. Other reviews are accurate and this property can be described as a "classic lake home." The beds were very comfortable and our simple requirements of a bbq and a fire pit by the lake were very well met. Kim answered all questions very quickly. Great host...and a nice puppy.

Home could be upgraded( new carpet, paint) overall okay. Owner was great when power went out as she had a jackery for us to use to plug in phones and cpap.
We wanted a private PNW lake getaway and we found it! We swam, sat by the fire pit, paddleboarded, fished and tooled around in our electric boat while totally decompressing. If you want fancy or modern, this is not your place. If you want a quiet place with no frillls and an awesome lake front stay, here it is.
Great location on the lake and well located for the wedding we were attending in Monroe. Reasonably well equipped kitchen. For 4 or more only 1 bathroom can lead to a queue but it’s hardly a major issue. 6 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Kim was a fantastic host. Super responsive to any questions or rental info. The house is spacious and clean. We loved the garden and lake access. A very relaxing atmosphere!
Well, all I have to say about my stay is Wow! I got to stay in a warm, cozy and a very spacious downstairs of a two story home that overlooks the most beautiful quiet private lake. I was very close to the lake. There is a paddle boat and other boats to use for fishing and touring and a nice dock for enjoying that lake from shore. You get a fully equipt Kitchen, no food just all the essentials an even a laundry too. There is full bath an 3 beds and bunk beds for the kids too! This is a pet friendly retreat! I caught a bass right off the dock. Kim the homeowner, gave me a tour all around the lake on this big flat touring boat, that was the highlight of my stay, just sit back and enjoy! I had so much relaxing fun I can't wait to book it again. I will definately be taking pictures next time to share this heavenly area with you all, maybe... I kinda wanna keep this as my secret place.
We had an amazing vacation in the Seattle area and it wouldn't have been the same without this fantastic place on a beautiful lake! Kim was a great host and we hope to go back again!
The property is amazing and absolutely beautiful. I love that there are several different options as to where to sit outside (patio, yard bench overlooking the lake, the fire pit on the lake and the lake dock. Tooling around the lake on the pontoon was relaxing (and I'm not a water person). My family loved fishing off the pontoon as well as jumping off of it into the water with our dog. Kim was a fabulous host. Answered my texts promptly and was very accommodating. Kim you have a heart of gold to open your home to folks to allow them to experience the slice of heaven you get to experience daily. I would definitely book again.
This place is really awesome. The owner was very helpful. The lake was clean and the property provided life jackets, a paddle boat and had a boat for rent. We spent a week and and would go back again. Just a few things- nothing negative just be aware you will need some good backing skills for the driveway. It’s totally doable but for our big SUV, it was a little tight. And- if you plan to spend some time and use this as a base camp- please do yourself a favor and plan at least one lake day. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and the doc area that’s provided has a place for campfire hotdogs and smores.
We are so grateful for finding Kim’s place
For us to retreat to with power and WiFi during the crazy PNW cyclone with our family and dog.
Kim was so kind and very flexible with us and we are thankful!
Ames lake is a little gem we didn’t know about.
Quiet and serene location! Space has everything we needed. Owner was very kind and responsive. Accurate description and photos. Plenty of space for our family of 6. Would love to stay again! Thank you!
This is a beautiful property with anazing views from the windows and right on the lake. The owners live on the property but in a different wing of the house and they were very helpful and friendly.
We loved our stay. The house is very comfortable, quiet and private. Access is very easy, thanks to Kim's precise instructions. The location is incredible, with the lake just a few meters away. We'd love to live here!
