About this property

Maui Condo Steps from the Beach--Mountain Views and Partial Ocean View

Lodging is an important part of the perfect Maui vacation. Being in a great location, not only on the island, but also on the property itself, is key. It should be updated, clean, well-equipped, and the beds have to be comfortable. Just steps from the sand, this condo delivers in spades. It’s on the south side of the building, away from noisy streets and captures sunlight from the first rays shining over Haleakala’s peak in the morning to the evening’s last light. This property is right across the street from the Kama’ole Beaches, some of the best beaches on Maui for swimming in the warm ocean, snorkeling over vibrant reefs frequented by sea turtles, and playing in the soft golden sand. These beaches are also some of the few on Maui with lifeguards. After a day of Hawaiian adventures, you can watch gorgeous sunsets from the sand.

This spacious vacation rental has large windows and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors running along the entire length of the condo, bringing the tropical paradise that awaits outside into every room. The master bathroom has two sinks and a large shower, and the master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, second air conditioner, smart TV, and has direct access to the sun-soaked lanai. The second bedroom has two twin beds and its own private bathroom. A retractable wall separates the second bedroom from the living room and can be left open for a more open feel. The living room has plenty of seating, a sofa bed, a large flat screen TV, and guests will enjoy free cable, high speed internet, and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your Maui vacation, including Keureg and traditional coffee makers, a Bosch dishwasher, and even a Vitamix blender that can whip up your morning smoothie or blend the perfect margarita when you’re ready to relax after a long day at the beach. The condo has full-sized washer and dryer so your swimsuits can be washed and ready to go for the next day’s fun.

From this location you can hike down picturesque Keawakapu Beach to Wailea or stroll along South Kihei Road and enjoy Kihei’s numerous shops and restaurants. There is a covered parking space, though it’s so easy to walk from this location, you may find yourself leaving the rental car parked in the shade for days at a time. Nestled in the sunnier microclimate of South Maui, Kihei receives less rainfall than the rest of the island, so you won’t lose beach time. It’s easy to explore the entire island from Lahaina and Kula to Iao Valley and Hana from this fabulous central location. This condo has everything you need for a perfect Maui getaway.

Base nightly rate is for up to 4 guest. $25 per night per person for more than 4 guest. If you plan to have more than 4 guest, let us know in advance so we can prepare the sofa bed in the living room for the additional guest. Cleaning fee includes VRHP/VRMA Cleaning Guidelines for COVID-19 for cleaning vacation rentals.

Aloha!

Many years ago, we took our first trip to Maui. Back then, we didn’t know that it was voted best island in the world by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine readers for more than 10 consecutive years, or that it’s the second largest island in Hawaii, or that it has six different major climate zones, or that you can go from sea level to 10,000 feet in a couple of hours by car. We first stayed on the west side of the island, visited Iao Valley, the road to Hana, the Haleakala peak at sunrise, and spent every free minute on the beach. It was a fabulous vacation, and we knew we’d want to come back year after year. On our second visit, we discovered Kihei and fell in love. Kihei has less rainfall than much of the island, and no one wants to get rained out on their vacation! There are lots of dining options here, and the beautiful Kamaole beaches I, II, and III, are some of the few beaches on island with public lifeguards, which means peace of mind when our children are splashing in the waves. Year after year, we stayed in hotels and condos and have experienced the best and the worst accommodations on the island. We put that knowledge, experience and love for Maui into creating the perfect vacation rental, and now we want to share it with you.

We hope you enjoy your stay and visit again soon!

Mahalo,
Neil

Why they chose this property

We love this property because it's right across the street from the beach, we can walk to shops and restaurants, and it has great views and lots of windows to let the fresh air in.

What makes this property unique

Some of our favorite things to do without getting in your car:

• Snorkeling, swimming, or building sand castles at Kamaole II or III – Grab your beach towels and/or beach chairs and walk across the street to Kamaole III (just in front of condo) or Kamaole II (just to your right)

• Walk along Keawakapu Beach to Wailea (approx. 4 miles roundtrip) – From S. Kihei Rd, walk south until you reach 5 Palms Restaurant. Cross the street towards the ocean. Just past 5 Palms Restaurant, you can start walking on the beach towards Wailea. Once you get to the Andaz Hotel in Wailea, you can get on the Wailea Beach Path towards The Shops at Wailea, where you can stop for ice cream at Lappert’s Hawaii or stop in at one of the many restaurants there for an early dinner before you walk back while watching the sunset.

• Boat tour or snorkeling to Molokini – If you’re interested in taking a whale watching boat tour or a snorkeling adventure to Molokini, the Kihei boat ramp is just half a mile south on S. Kihei Rd.

Some of our favorite places to visit by car:

• Lahaina Town (28 miles)– Drive along the beautiful coastline to Lahaina Town, with its rich history, where you can enjoy the day walking along museums, shops, restaurants, and grab some shave ice, and sit under the banyan tree.

• Sunrise at Haleakala (38 miles)– Wake up early and drive to Haleakala National Park to see the sunrise from the top of Haleakala summit. Be sure to take warm clothing and dress in layers, because it’s very cold at the top but warm at the bottom! On the way back down, you can enjoy Maui’s upcountry and stop for winetasting at Maui Wine!

• Road to Hana (62 miles)– Drive to Paia and take the windy road to Hana for some of the best waterfalls and beaches. Once you make it to Hana, it’s worth going on to the Seven Sacred Pools and hike up to the bamboo forest.

• Iao Valley State Monument (18 miles)- For a shorter drive to waterfalls and amazing tropical vistas, visit Iao Valley.
