About this property

The Robins Nest private suite with porch. 5 minutes from downtown.

Bright and sunny guest suite with a private entrance located on a half acre park like property. Protected forest borders the property with the French Broad River just beyond it. This sleepy community offers peace and quiet yet is just a stones throw from some of Asheville's best bars, breweries and restaurants as well as the River Arts District, Biltmore Estate and of course Downtown. Perfect for single travelers or couples.
2 night min stay on weekends.
3 night min on holiday weekends.

The Space - The Kingsize bed is a brand new Serta Perfect Sleeper with a separate pillow top cover. There is a night table and a lamp on either side with a charging hub on the larger table for all of your devices.
There is a fridge, electric kettle and single cup coffee maker. We have provided cups, as well as glasses and openers for beer and wine.

Bathroom - Large soaking tub and an enclosed shower stall. The armoire has hangers and a couple of drawers for your clothing.

Outside - The front porch overlooks the yard and is a sweet spot for morning coffee or a glass of vino in the evening. There is seating in the courtyard and you will find some throws in the basket under the TV for chilly nights.

The property - The neighborhood is very quiet and surrounded by forest. It's not unusual to spot turkeys, deer, groundhogs or bears.
We live on the property and are currently working on an RV remodel project. The opposite side of the house is also an Airbnb. Each side is private with no access from the other guests. In other words there are no shared spaces inside the house.
You'll have access to the front porch and the courtyard area. There is a parking space for you that is on the street and leads directly down to your area. We park and enter from the opposite side so as not to disturb you. Please park just after the steps to the courtyard. This will assure that we both have ample parking space.

The Robin's nest is an evolving permacultural homestead. You will likely at some point in your stay see us doing work in the yard or around the property. If you have any questions about some of the projects we are working on please don't be shy.

Amazing location close to down town
Loved staying in Leanna's studio for a short visit to Asheville! It's the perfect place for peace and quiet after a day of exploring the town. The bed might be the comfiest bed I've ever slept in, the tub was well suited for soaking tired feet, and the little personal touches were so appreciated. Leanna was great with communication and offering suggestions and her homestead is gorgeous. Space was super clean and well cared for. Highly recommend!!

Foy Vance and The Arts district
I had planned many things to do, when I bought my concert tickets. The weather had other ideas, they had a horrible cold snap. So I changed it up and had a nice relaxing spa weekend. Soaked in the tub, so peaceful ! Face and feet masks, sung as a bug in my warm oasis. Got to watch what ever I wanted on the TV. I did check out a few places and then it was time for music. The concert was amazing, look him up, you will not be disappointed. The Grey Eagle was a great intimate venue. How many people can saw they have seen an Emmy statue up close and personal. K

Perfect stay for the weekend!
We were in Asheville for Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam so we only needed a clean and comfy place to sleep. The Robin’s nest was just that + creatively appointed. Location is away from downtown in a local neighborhood. We loved the natural setting and the many plants inside. I’m sure it’s much more green in the spring! Everything went as planned and communication with Leann was easy.

About the host

I am a local photographer and budding homesteader.
We're both in our 50's with 2 grown children.
We love the outdoors and music, both of which are in abundance here.
We also love to share our favorite spots here in Asheville.

Why they chose this property

Zac and I moved to Asheville from Ft. Lauderdale after visiting here for a few years. We were both ready for a change and Asheville just resonated with both of us. We looked for a piece of property for a couple of years that gave us both what we wanted.
For me it was a semi removed location on a piece of land that I could create a garden and raise some chickens and maybe goats later.
For Zac it was a place that was close to town.
We both got just what we wanted with this property! We look forward to all the projects and improvements we want to make.

What makes this property unique

The yard was what sold us on this little house. It is like having a park in your back yard.
It backs up to a protected forest area so it is very quiet and private and just beyond that is the French Broad river.
We have already done a lot of work in the short time we've been here. We are especially proud of the courtyard area that is designated for guest and we have more plans for this area to make peoples stay a wonderful experience.
