Nice cabin, with beautiful beach and sunset. Kayaks, paddle boats were in good condition. Rented a motor for row boat (comes with cabin) was easy start and made for a fun day on the lake. Quiet lake, we also spotted eagles, loons and a pair of swans. The owners were great and very helpful.
We stayed in September and can’t wait to try some time in the summer. Cabin was clean and matched photos on website. Nice sandy swimming area with refreshing clear water (again it was September). Host set us up with boat and brand new four stoke engine. At night went and played pool and had a drink in the bar.
We loved our stay at Woodhaven resort. The owners, Mike and Mary, were lovely, and we enjoyed a week of fishing, swimming, and relaxing. The cabins are older and rustic but charming, and the bar was a fun place to socialize in the evening with locals and other guests. We had full use of a rowboat, kayaks, and our own private dock. The lake is very good for swimming at their little beach, especially when you get to a little deeper water near their swimming platform. It's clear and not seaweedy in these areas. We usually vacation in Vilas county and are really happy we branched out and tried something new. We will be back!
Mary and Mike were great hosts and we enjoyed sharing a beer with them in the resort bar. The lake views from our quaint cottage were spectacular and we loved the loons. We would definitely return.
