Chalet Ladroit is an OVO Network property. If you're looking for a very special 5 star property in a quiet spot just a short drive from the Aravis pistes, then look no further.

The OVO Network team’s opinion -

This unique farmhouse close to the village of Les Clefs was built in 1827 by a nobleman from Chambery who wanted a mountain retreat for occasional visits.

You'll need a car (with snow tyres and chains in the winter), but the stunning views from the chalet make the drive more than worth it. The nearest shops are a five-minute drive away in Thônes.

Covered steps lead up from the car park to the front door which opens on to the open plan living area – a well equipped kitchen with a huge range cooker, a large dining table which easily seats 12, and a cosy seating area, with a flat screen television and doors on to the terrace. From the lounge you will access the sauna, the hammam and the indoor heated pool, as well as another double bedroom, a shower room and independent WC.

The outside space is a real feature of this property, with a large sunny terrace perfect for catching some sun and a covered dining area seating 12, which can be used all year round – the perfect place for enjoying dinner while the sun sets behind the mountains.

Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

Please note there is a tenant living in a small apartment in Chalet Ladroit all year round.

The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your payment details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

Magnificent location with breathtaking views, an easy drive to Thônes for supplies, and central to many amazing places. The pool, sauna, and steam room are excellent and were enjoyed daily. Beyond the amenities, the views remain the main attraction of this property.

Great Stay with Friends, Perfect for Ringing in the New Year

We stayed at the cabin with 12 friends over New Year's Eve. The rooms vary in size and bathroom amenities. The fireplace was great, and enough firewood was provided. The pool and sauna look a little bigger in the photos than in real life. Plenty of parking spaces were available for 12 people. Unfortunately, there was no ski cellar where you can dry your ski boots overnight. All in all, we had a very nice time and were able to start the new year well.

Excellent view, brilliant pool

Though the chalet has multiple advantages, the view from it is undoubtedly its best and unique feature. What a sight to behold! The somewhat precarious climb to reach it by car is worth it. The house has warmth and style, all rooms were squeaky clean and the owner responded astutely when it was required. The nearby tenant is very friendly and other than cigarette smoke every so often, we did not even register his presence. All in all a wonderful chalet, for a (large) family or group of friends!

Notre hôte est très sympathique et pragmatique concernant la remise et la restitution des clefs. Il propose un superbe chalet parfaitement adapté à notre groupe de 12 convives. Le chalet est meublé avec goût, et les matériaux de construction permettent une réelle immersion dans l’ambiance des Hautes-Alpes. Les équipements proposés (sauna, hammam, piscine intérieure, grande terrasse, ainsi que des accessoires tels que barbecue à gaz, ping-pong, babyfoot, fléchettes, etc.) ont été appréciés par tous.
