If exploring nature and outdoor activities are your style, there are state parks, miles of trails to hike, bike, or paddle within minutes of this perfectly situated location.

This charming home has a fully equipped kitchen for at home meal preparations. Stock up on groceries and essentials at the Piggly Wiggly- just a minute away! If you're looking to take a break from kitchen duty, take advantage of the vast variety of food options within walking distance. Don't forget a Door County "must-do!" Visit Al Johnson's, just 2 blocks away, for a great breakfast and visit the goats on the roof!

The home sleeps 6 comfortably with a bedroom and full bathroom on the lower level and 2 separate sleeping areas with a full bath on the upper level, including a large open space, a perfect hang-out for kids or teens. A day bed is available if a bit more sleeping space is needed.
linens are provided for each guest. Don't forget to bring your beach towels and sand chairs for days in the sun and surf!

After a day of Door County adventure, come home to ease and privacy.

The home was clean and as described online, and the location was great for ease of walking into town for restaurants, parks, and shopping. The bathroom on the main floor was small, but very clean. The hosts, Joan and Dennis, were responsive and kind, answering any questions we had very quickly.

No locks on bathrooms and bedrooms. Didn't realize one of the bedrooms is a loft wo separate door - didn't expect in this price range. Exceptional attention to detail, and very friendly hosts.

Thank you for feedback. Due to the age of the house applying locks on those doors would damage some of the aesthetics. However we will consider that issue moving forward.

This is a charming bungalow with many original features, and all the modern amenities needed. The kitchen is modern and well appointed with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and cozy. The outdoor spaces are wonderful for dining and playing — lots of fun games and toys are provided. The hosts responded quickly to inquiries and were terrific to work with.

This is now our 4th time staying at this house, it's become somewhat of a tradition every couple of years at the end of the summer. If our return visits aren't enough of a positive review, I'll reinforce that the house itself is lovely and kept in pristine condition. Dennis and Joan make it so easy, everything is labelled and easy to find, there's plenty of amenities for cooking indoors or outside, toys and games for the kids and plenty of space for larger families or groups. Dennis and Joan are attentive and communicative with any questions or needs and we look forward to continuing our visits in the future!

Great house in a great location

Loved staying in Joan and Dennis’s house in Sister Bay. Everything we could have needed was available and well maintained. The home is thoughtfully appointed and tidy! Would definitely stay here again. Just a 3 minute walk into town.

This beautiful house is in an excellent location with a 5 minute walk to downtown Sister Bay. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with essentials. The quiet location allowed us to drink our morning coffee while listening to the birds. One of the best VRBO's we've ever stayed at. We will definitely be staying here again. We highly recommend this home.

This was a beautiful home and everything was extremely comfortable. The home had everything we needed for our weeks stay. There was nice outdoor space and we took advantage of the fire pit and grill. It was a very short walk to restaurants and marina, and short drive to state parks and other towns in Door County. Communication with the hosts was great.

Amazing rental in Door County!

Excellent property in great location

This place was perfect for us. Only a block from the main street of Sister Bay, and it was clean and comfortable. We had a minor problem at check in but the owner quickly responded and the rest of the trip was perfect. Big thumbs up.

My family and look forward all year to our stay at this property. The owners think of everything, label everything and generally make our week-long stay a no-brainer. Fantastic location a mere half-block from the main drag through downtown Sister Bay. It’s perfect!

We love Door County! Growing up in Wisconsin, going to Door County was always a special experience. We are truly grateful to be able to share this experience with you! It is our hope you will create happy and lasting memories here too.

What makes this property unique

As we enter 2022, we find ourselves busy with more upgrades and improvements! New kitchen cabinets and countertops were installed earlier this spring. New front porch flooring, new siding, and a new roof along with new exterior lighting all happened in 2021. We replaced old windows and luckily were able to keep all the antique woodwork intact. We look forward to sharing this charming bungalow with you!
