This home is located in the heart of Big Sur on a family ranch, a short drive from Pfeiffer Beach. You can either walk to the Big Sur Bakery, take a short drive to Post Ranch, or cook your meals in the modern open-concept kitchen. The property sits 1,000 feet above the ocean where the Pacific meets the mountains. Watch condors and hawks sweep the sky, the fog curl around the coast, and the sun set on the sea.

Please note that this property is on a dirt road and requires a vehicle with AWD or 4WD for the short driveway off our main road. I greet all my guests so you must be able to be at the property by seven in the evening and the only people allowed on the property will be the people staying at the house.
Due to the deep pond and drop offs, this property is not suitable for small children.
Please contact me beforehand if you are coming for a job in the area, are attending a wedding, or have children. Thank you.

I've been building this home and developing the gardens for the past eighteen years. It is a privilage to be the steward to such a beautiful piece of land.

Why they chose this property

This is a green eco home, built with every care at minimal use of products that are harmful to our environment and our bodies. The home features 2000 square feet of living space with open beam ceiling, gypsum plaster, and beeswaxed polished concrete floors throughout. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry room, and great room. The absolute privacy and quiet makes this home the perfect place to get away from it all. Listen to the ocean waves and watch the light and the reflections of the surrounding forest and mountains bounce off the multitude of windows.

What makes this property unique

My favorite things about my home are the peacefulness, the views out of the floor to ceiling glass, and the wildlife. It's only a 45 minute drive to Carmel and there are many hikes and beaches to explore.
