Relax and regroup as you're soothed by sunshine and gentle breeze. Marvel at the uninterrupted view of the entirety of Banderas Bay, stretching to the horizon, and the immensity of the sky above. Take a dip in your private plunge pool, stretch out on a lounge chair, sip on a drink. Breathe deeply and let tension and troubles slip away.
Your private, cozy penthouse is the entire top floor of a Mediterranean-style, private home. Your terrace has an outdoor shower and a traditional Mexican shelter (palapa) with table, chairs and a mini-bar. You're in the center of town but only steps from cafes, restaurants, shops, a grocery. Nearby you'll find Hidalgo Park, the Malecon (boardwalk) and Playa Camarones, a sandy beach.
In the winter, you may catch of distant view of whales frolicking in the Bay, so bring binoculars. Want a bite to eat? Step out and enjoy restaurants down the hill or order from your delivery app.
A few minutes away by taxi, you'll find the Zona Romantica -- our charming downtown and, to the north, Versailles, an emerging neighborhood of cafes and trendy restaurants. With more than 1,000 restaurants, Puerto Vallarta offers everything from street food and casual dining to epicurean offerings in elegant settings.
In your cozy bedroom at Villa la Vista, you'll find a comfortable, queen-sized bed (Mexican beds are a bit smaller than US beds) and a bathroom with shower. Your penthouse is stocked with coffeemaker, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks and bottled water -- and there's more water in the mini-refrigerator in the bar. Water in your unit is safe to drink, according to official tests, but you'll find some purified bottled water in your unit and at the water cooler on the second floor landing.
At Villa la Vista, a locked door separates the penthouse from the lower two floors of the house, which are the owners' private unit. Common stairs and a hallway take you to the penthouse.
In the evenings, the penthouse provides the perfect spot to catch the sun slipping below the horizon, the glow of the sunset spreading across the sky and the twinkling lights of town piercing the darkness. And as every evening comes to a close, fireworks burst across the night sky, courtesy of the Marigalante, a three-masted galleon sailing Banderas Bay.
We hope you enjoy your time in this very special place.
Welcome!
NOTE: We are at the end of a steep hill and some taxis can't get up the last block. Be prepared to bring your luggage up the hill and up our stairs. There is a taxi service across the street with vehicles that can make it up the hill. Some private drivers may be available, too.
