My house with swallows is an exceptional, refined gîte, integrated into a 16th century manor. The whole benefited from a high quality restoration. The layout of the premises and the terraces allows for tranquility, calm and charm at all times.
It can accommodate 4 people. Fully equipped, it also has access to a large swimming pool and perfectly maintained outdoor spaces.
The equipment and services of the accommodation are of high quality: washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, barbecue, TVs, baby equipment, travel cot, garden furniture, deckchairs, internet access are at your disposal. .
A 13x7 m swimming pool, shared with the owners, a ping pong table, 4 bikes are at your disposal. A large, fully accessible garden also awaits you.
The manor is located in South Touraine near the great castles of the Loire: Direct access by highway A 10, 300 km from Paris, 55 km from Tours, 60 km from Poitiers and 30 minutes. from the famous Futuroscope.

Tranquility

This is a wonderful property full of character and equipped to a high standard. Jean Marie and Muriel are wonderful hosts and make you very welcome. This is not a place if you want noise and company of others however if you want peace and tranquility and to get away from it all this is an ideal spot.

A delightful property!

The property is well appointed, set in a beautiful and tranquil location, ideal for exploring the surrounding area. The house is extremely well equipped and to a high standard. The interior design is very stylish and provides for your every comfort. Outside, there is a sunny private dining and lounge area, ideal for al fresco living. The pool is a generous size with plentiful sun loungers and parasols - we thoroughly enjoyed spending many happy hours in the water! Jean-Marie, Muriel and their family are charming and considerate hosts. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property!!!

Just lovely!

We had a fantastic week relaxing at the house and by the pool (when the weather allowed). We were greeted upon arrival by Sylvie and she was close by if we needed anything. We also briefly met Jean Marie and Muriel who were very pleasant. The house has everything you need including a child gate for the stairs (we have a two yr old). It was our fourth time to the Loire and the best property we have stayed at by far - so clean and spacious. The views from the property are picturesque. The courtyard of buildings are beautiful. The external dining space is very private. There’s also a covered external games room and plancha (bbq). It is in the middle of nowhere but that’s what we wanted - it may be too isolated for some. To get into the village you have to drive or cycle as it is 5-10mins from the property. Abilly is very quiet but pretty. It has a baker and convenience store but shopping-wise that’s about it. You need to drive to Descartes if you want to do a proper shop (there is an intermarche there). Chattelleraux isn’t far if you want to go to a nearby town. It has a leisure centre which we went to on the rainy day here. If you want to go and relax for a week and not do too much - then this place is great. Any of the tourist hot-spots like the chateau at Villandry or Zooparc du Beauval (which we go to once a year) are an hour away by road.

gîte calme et bien situé

super gîte malgré la difficulté à les différencier (2 gîtes) donc nous étions bien installés en rapport au code qui nous avait été communiqué mais l'autre gîte portait également le même code et avons dû déménager mais le propriétaire est très sympathique. Petit bémol, un vrai manque de vaisselle et le mobilier a bien vécu. N'empêche nous avons passé une excellente semaine en Bretagne. Merci Marcus et à bientôt peut-être

Comment ne pas être charmé par ce magnifique manoir, parfaitement entretenu avec ses espaces verts luxuriants, rénové et aménagé avec beaucoup de goût. Niché sur une colline offrant un panorama exceptionnel sur la vallée, le logis offre confort et quiétude, le bien-être du visiteur est la seule préoccupation des hôtes dont l'amabilité est également à noter. Un grand merci pour cette parenthèse ressourçante dans ce lieu d'exception.

A delightful property!

Upon arrival, we were stunned by the beautiful buildings, hilltop location and delightful views. We were greeted by Gee who was charming and helpful and on-hand for any matters required. Our accommodation was beautifully presented, clean and with everything you could want for a relaxing week. Such a peaceful location for those seeking to unwind. The owner of the property was also friendly and made time to say 'hello'. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others looking for a high-quality base from which to explore the region. Tres charmant!

Un cadre enchanteur et paisible

Maison ancienne rénovée avec goût et très bien équipée, très belle piscine chauffée dans grand un jardin fleuri face à un superbe panorama. Parfait pour se ressourcer au calme ou découvrir les richesses de la région. L’accueil et la gentillesse des propriétaires ont contribué à la réussite de notre séjour. Fantastische plek voor rustzoekers

We hebben een geweldig fijn verblijf gehad in dit mooie, gerestaureerde, authentieke huisje. Het is echt van alle gemakken voorzien, wij konden niets bedenken dat we misten of anders zouden willen. Er was zelfs een campingbedje en kinderstoel aanwezig. Alles in de advertentie klopte. Het grote herenhuis waar de woning naast staat, het Franse platteland, het verwarmde zwembad, het lekkere weer, de vriendelijke eigenaren (die er alleen in het weekeind waren), de behulpzame huishoudster en tuinman, alles werkte mee om even echt tot rust te komen. Zover dat gaat met een baby van 8 maanden, maar dat lag niet aan het huisje :-) Wij hebben twee topweken gehad!

Très bonnes vacances

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au manoir. Le gite est très bien rénové et bien équipé. Les jardins sont magnifiques et la partie jardin privative du gite est grande, les enfants ont pu y joué avec plaisir. Quant à la piscine, parfaite!! Les propriétaires sont très sympatiques et ont été discrets. Quand aux gardiens, ils ont été d'une aide précieuse pour nos velos et nous les en remercions grandement. Enfin les environs se prêtent aux balades en vélo et aux visites culturelles. La future voie verte en vélo sera au pied du manoir (dommage pour nous qu'elle n'est pas pu être ouverte cette année). En résumé de très bonnes vacances en tous points. Merci

Un havre de paix au charme fou

La propriété est splendide: le manoir, le jardin, la piscine et son environnement... toutes les vues sont magnifiques !! Aucune fausse note, on sent partout le bon goût des propriétaires qui sont en plus attentifs et adorables. Un long week-end vraiment très agréable avec notre bébé de 5 mois qui a pleinement profité du calme des lieux...

Parfait séjour au beau manoir

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans la maison aux hirondelles. La description du gîte correspond tout à fait à la réalité : confort, propreté, une superbe piscine, un domaine particulièrement bien entretenu et le calme absolu au cœur de la Touraine. Nos hôtes Jean Marie et Muriel étaient fort sympathiques et discrets à la fois. C'était vraiment parfait.
