Newly renovated, clean and spacious studio in Waikiki. Unit is on 10th floor of the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel/Condo building and comes with queen bed, kitchenette, full bath.

Walk to Waikiki beach, Waikiki strip, convention center, restaurants, shops and many other Waikiki attractions in this newly renovated, clean and spacious unit.

The building offers a pool, Jacuzzi, large sun deck, barbecue grills, gym (one time $5 per guest usage fee), coin laundry, common area wifi, a bar and café.

Attached covered parking available at rate of $40/per 24 hours with in & out privileges. They take cash only.

Luggage storage service provided by our security office on the lower lobby level for $5 per bag.

There is 24 hour building security.

Smart cars rental is on the premises and other car, scooter and bike rentals companies are nearby within few minutes walking distance.

Excellent Place!

Host was most definitely helpful with early check in and late checkout. Place is perfect for accommodation if you are always out and about.

Good location

All good. Just be aware of parking. You can find free street parking about a few blocks away. The parking in building is $40 a day Cash!

Bang for your buck

Loved every aspect of it except for the windows don’t have curtains. So if you’re sensitive to light, bring a sleep mask.

Not What I expected

Normally don't review places, but felt compelled to. This place wasn't awful, it's just that it's not what you might guess from the few pictures. Says remodeled and technically that is true as it has some updated from original. features. But there are no real window coverings, the place wasn't the cleanest upon arrival, and the bathroom is cramped and in need of updating. Shower tub is chipped and older, vanity is peeling and tile grout is missing. The bed and other furniture was not of great quality, and the mattress and pillows were spotty. The HVAC unit is old and very loud, and struggles to keep up. The price of the rental was a bit lower than many of the similar condos, but understand you get what you pay for. With a VRBO rating of near 5 I expected much more. To me, it's more of a 3.5-4 rated place.

This was a perfect set up for me for my short stay. Highly recommend this property for a single traveler or a couple traveling needing a good location.

Great location, great views, nicely appointed condo.

Really nice location, nice views of treetops in nearby park and ocean in the distance. Close to beaches at Waikiki and Ala Moana, many restaurants and a local brewery, as well as Ala Moana shopping center, all accessible by walking, biking, or using the bus. The pool and hot tubs were well maintained and had lots of shady seating as well as a pleasant BBQ area. Condo kitchen/studio/living/bedroom area was comfortable and well outfitted with the basics. Large windows looked out on pool area, high-top table and stools made a very nice place to have coffee in the am. Bathroom was small but nice, plenty of good-quality towels. We especially liked the showerhead and the good supply of hot water in the shower. Two upgrades I would like to see: 1) repair blind to make it easier to raise and lower, 2) redo tub to have a nicer looking finish. Owner responded quickly to messages and made an effort to be available to resolve issues. Overall, very good value for the area. We were very satisfied and would stay there again.

Everything BUT the girl at the vehicle entrance gate!

Everything about our stay was great. Everything BUT the girl at the vehicle check-in gate. We came in through the roundabout and didn't realize that you're not supposed to make a right hand turn into the structure. The girl motioned to me like she was cutting her throat and told me that I would have to back all the way up through the roundabout, back onto the street, and turn around and completely go around the block one more time before I could actually enter the structure. I understand she has a job to do, but that was a little much, and it took everything in me to stop my girlfriend from getting out of the car and kicking her ass. She could have conducted herself a little more professionally and simply warned us and tell us to make sure to not do that again. She was the ONE thing that ruined a perfect stay at the hotel. In case you want to reference which worker she was, she was there at about 6:30 p.m. on the evening of June 18th, 2022.

Waikiki Monarc Hotel

The unit is small and cozy. Perfect for a couple or single. Location is very close to shops and Ala Moana Mall. Secured, 24 hour security, few food shops on the lobby, pool, laundry area and 7 Eleven next to the building is a plus for quick bite. Easy communication with the owner and very accommodating . I will definitely stay in this condo/hotel again. I just don't like the laundry cost $3.50 per load and $3.00 for dryer. Few of the machines won't work and you can only use credit card.
