The Yellow Cabin is tucked away on a quiet road in a rural area. The property itself is quaint and comfortable and offers all the charm of a traditional home on the island while giving ample space and beautiful outdoor areas. Tazel (the owner) is also a wonderful host and makes sure that you have what you need including transport to and from the property on Nevis. I would recommend this lodging to anyone and everyone.

Thanks Cory for visiting and choosing the Cabin. It was a pleasure serving you and We appreciate your review.
The cabin has everything you need. A/C, excellent wifi, well equipped kitchen. It was lovely to eat breakfast on the enclosed porch. Tazel was so helpful, collecting us from the ferry and arranging car rental through Striker's. You do need a car, but the cabin's not far from a Best Buy supermarket and several restaurants. Passion Bar & Grill was a particular favourite.
I am borrowing two verses from the Chris Martin's song - Look at the stars, look how they shine for you ... (just Google it, if you don't have a clue why I chose these lyrics :)
You can watch not only the stars from this secluded place on the island, but also the clouds coming from east to protect the island's highest peak from the Caribbean sun, and you will be joined by occasionally passing herds of goats, donkeys, monkeys and hummingbirds enjoying flowers around the cabin. The cabin with everything you need for your island experience will offer you a cozy atmosphere during your stay on this hidden and barely used side road. We really appreciated fresh local fruit and vegies and other basic items that were waiting for us to start our stay on the island. The owner's attention to details is exceptional. Thank you, Tazel, for making our stay memorable.
Fabulous stay at the Yellow Cabin and wonderful Nevis
We spent five unforgettable weeks staying at the Yellow Cabin in Stonyhill, Nevis. Built and painted in traditional Nevisian style, the cabin is lovely and comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for our long stay. The location, on a quiet country road visited by free-ranging donkeys, sheep and goats, is perfect for relaxing, but also is an excellent base for exploring the beauties of Nevis. Beyond the front door, Mount Nevis (dormant) volcano looms, covered with rainforest. There are many guided hikes on offer up and down this nearly 4,000-foot volcano. (We highly recommend Island Buzz Tours with excellent guide Michael Morton.) We spent much of our time visiting and relaxing on Nevis's wonderful beaches, each of which has a character of its own, and all of which were within 15-20 minutes drive from the cabin. We sampled several restaurants, and some of the lesser-known places were our favorites, especially Sips on the Square in downtown Charlestown, Passions in Cox Village, and Sylvester's Restaurant in Newcastle (to find Sylvester's, follow the road that runs along the side of Newcastle Pottery [which we also recommend] pass the school, and then watch on the left for a long low building painted reddish-brown but without a sign.) Other places we especially enjoyed: the Botanical Gardens, and New River Plantation. Most of all, our visit was made extraordinary by the excellent care and attention of our host, Tazel, who is as thoughtful as she is efficient. Tazel made our arrival and departure smooth and pleasant, arranging for water and land taxis, phone service and car rental (thank you, Striker!), and connecting us to people and experiences that enriched our stay. We highly recommend the Yellow Cabin, Tazel, and the wonderful island of Nevis!
