My grandparents, Clare and Bill Schnaufer were true Arizonans. They were both born in Tucson in the 1920s. Grandpa Bill survived WWII and the Battle of the Bulge and after the war he and Grandma Clare discovered Greer. They developed a love for Greer, the area, and this beautiful location, and shared it with our family. They found the location they loved by the East Fork of the Little Colorado River amount the pines and aspen trees.
We unfortunately lost our cabin to the Wallow Fire in 2011. Luckily nothing else on our property was touched! Even the old pine tree with tree swing is still there to enjoy! all the beauty that surrounded us has remained. Our new family cabin was built soon after. It is a modern cabin which still has that cozy cabin feel.
