Very well laid out. Enjoyed the screened in patio and furniture there. Comfortable beds and furniture, good TV and WIFI, great variety of channels. Good appliances and cookware.
The home and property were very clean and comfortable. It was nice having all of comforts and amenities of home. The neighbors were loud and riding dirt bikes and four wheelers past the house.

Thanks Paul for your honest review. There is a local ordinance against loud music from vehicles but it is difficult to control.. Otherwise, we are happy that the home itself met your satisfaction due to its cleanliness and comfort.
I’m happy that the tenant gave an honest review about our home. Each guest is advised that the home is in a rural, slightly rustic community and priced accordingly. The amenities and the home was exactly as advertised.
We had just lost our winter home in Fort Myers due to Ian, and wanted time to look for a new home away from the coast. We spent several weeks looking and finally found our perfect home just north of Sebring. We then spent two weeks retrieving what we could from Fort Myers and moving it to the new home. This rental fit our plans perfectly and we would rent it again if necessary. The only fault we had with this house was after a heavy rain ,water ran into and across the screened porch.

We are thankful for the honest review. Regrettably a screened-in patio that doesn’t have glass windows is susceptible to wind blown rain. However, we have asked our maintenance staff to ensure there are no leaks in the roof and so far they haven’t found any. Great guests all around who took care of our home. More than welcome to return.
The property was clean, enjoyed the screen porch. The livingroom is cramped, and the recliners are not in working order. The TV is large, and close to the seating area. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood can be a bit noisy, between roosters (we did get used to the crowing, and they are beautiful birds!) and occasional drive by carts featuring loud, booming obscene music. Otherwise neighbors kept to themselves, and we knew it was a "rustic neighborhood." We would consider staying here again, easy access to highway 27, grocery store, dollar store, downtown Lake Placid. Property manager Erika promptly answered our queries.
Although this house is located in a rustic area, once you walk through the front door, it's picture perfect. It has comfortable and attractive furniture, interesting artwork, washer/dryer unit and TV's with Netflix. You can tell that it was lovingly refurbished and is most comfortable. The only problem we had was the security panel and it was my fault for not realizing I had to enter a code right away. The alarm went off several times and the property manager was most helpful in helping me figure it out.

Neibors have rooster roaming the streets
I dont mind it but they did wake us up at 3am. Rosster and chickens will walk in your backyard every now and then. There were ants in the showerThe master bed looked like someone slept in itThe toilet was not sealed tge way cleaning people usually seal itThe toilet paper looked used as well Publics is 5 minutes away - walmart 25 minutes away - target 1 hour and 30 minutes away - anything else is about a 2 hour drive (Miami, Orlando, and Tampa)

We advise every guest about the roosters, as soon as we acknowledge their reservation. The bedspread in the master bedroom was just purchased and put on the bed an hour before the guest was scheduled to check-in. It was brand new and may have still had the wrinkles from the packaging. We would NEVER, EVER, put soiled toilet paper out for use. In fact, we keep extra rolls in each bathroom. Everyone is encouraged to read the reviews at the time we accept the rental. We have had this home on short term rentals for several years. The majority of the reviews we receive emphasize how clean and well organized our home is kept. We regret that this guest felt we did not achieve our high standards.
Note: Our home is professionally sprayed (Terminex is the provider). The technician was there less than two weeks before the guest arrived. This is Florida and insects may still find a way into the house. This client's concerns have been shared with our cleaning staff to make sure they make an extra effort to ensure everything is up to our high standards.
The property was very well appointed and well kept . It was clean and stocked with everything we needed. I like to cook and bake and found everything but a pie pan and rolling pin ( we had picked blueberries on one of our outings. ) The hens and chicks running around were so much fun to watch and the roosters were beautiful, but noisy. My wife loved them , though.
We were able to visit family and friends on the ocean and the gulf sides of the state from the location.
Only a bit of noise from vehicles in the neighborhood, but it always stopped by bedtime. We loved the screen porch and sat out there each evening.
We were unfamiliar with an alarm system and set it off upon entering, but we figured it out.
Would recommend!

This is such a nice and very honest review. We take pride in our Bahama Blue Cottage and stay there ourselves as often as possible. We keep our rates low yet still provide wonderful amenities. We can't compensate for the rural, slightly rustic location which may not suit everyone, but neighbors are friendly, yet not intrusive. Our home is just as advertised. These tenants were great and took very good care of the cottage. They are welcome back at any time in the future. Thank you again for your honesty and for being such wonderful guests.
Located in the worst area in Lake Placid, hundreds of homes in this area, virtually every one littered with old furniture, multiple piles of old tires, the most depressing area I have ever had a holiday at. I paid for 10days, so disgusted I left after only 8 days. My wife & I owned a home in Lake Placid for 3 1/2 years. Host did not explain operation of excellent quality appliances, it was the third day before I could watch TV, had similar problems with over the range Microwave & the Stove/Range, both excellent quality, but with digital settings which required some instruction.
Disgusted with this VRBO experience, doubtful if I will book again.
Sincerely Bill Hanson

This client and all clients are advised upon making reservations that the home is located in a rural, slightly rustic community and "PRICED ACCORDINGLY" and to please READ THE REVIEWS. We are not accountable for the neighborhood. Our property was exactly as advertised and priced for the area where it is located. We actually own more than one property there and all our properties are well maintained and frequently booked with very good reviews. If you drive all around the community, you will find some homes that are not well maintained, but not all.
Regrettably, this client had difficulty with the digital operation of the keyless entry, security system, and appliances. We have not had that particular complaint from any other client and the home is booked frequently with many "repeat" visitors. The TV service is Comcast cable which requires only the remote to operate. There is a SMART TV in the living room and another SMART TV in the master bedroom both with Netflix, YouTube, etc. if you can operate the remote. The property manager was available to answer any questions and there were many. Prior reviews speak for themselves. Occasionally someone will remark on the community, but the majority, once they stay, realize the look of the neighborhood is misleading. The majority of our reviews are very positive. We try our best to satisfy every customer and definitely regret that the client was not pleased.
Was very well decorated, the screened in patio was very well used by us. The roosters and hens were very entertaining. The property manager was very easy to work with.

I decided to buy this house for my wonderful spouse so that she can stay connected to her hometown. You are welcome to visit and we know you will enjoy the home as we do.
What makes this property unique
The home is very nice and the area is quiet except for the natural alarm clocks. It is very peaceful and the neighbors are friendly but not intrusive. It is the perfect get-a-way for those who don't mind a little rustic community. The screened-in patio is wonderful for coffee in the mornings and dinner in late afternoon.
