Great location! Near everything including restaurants and the forest. Plenty of space for 2-3 people. Street parking is easy minus the peak hour weekends. Will book again.
Hosts were very lovely. Apartment was perfect for our needs and in a fantastic location

The hosts were lovely, the place was very big for the price, and the location can't be beat! Within two blocks of all the shops in town, and 500m to the edge of the forest.
An excellent place to stay for a long rock climbing trip.
We stayed in this appartment for a week and had a very good experience. The village and the house are very cute, and so are the hosts, an old French couple who were super friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Thank you to Marie-Ange and her husband for their hospitality.

Lovely apartment in a lovely location, a brilliant stay.
Hosts were very friendly and informative when we arrived, never had any issues.
Lovely galleries on the road and the forest is a great walk round.
Bakery, shop, bars/ food places nearby.
We would recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay near Barbizon. The location was perfect for us, as it is an easy walk to the local shops/ bakery, and accessible to the main climbing areas (though some may find it a little noisy on the weekend evenings as it is on the main street). A very homely and comfortable apartment and brilliant base for a holiday. Thank you :)
The apartment is centrally located, a short walk from the bakery, the shop and cafes. You can walk to the closest climbing areas of Apremont and other beautiful walks in the forest. The hosts are lovely and happy to help with any queries.
Great apartment that is much bigger than the listing/photos suggest. It is really well located in the middle of the village close to the restaurants and just a few minutes walk to the forest with bouldering sites very close.
Barbizon is close to Fontainebleau, other forest villages and easy access to Paris by train.
The owners Marie-Ange and Jacques are very helpful and it was a pleasure to meet them.
Highly recommended place to stay - thank you
Contrast of fancy art village and outdoor climbing
We had a great stay, everything was uncomplicated. We especially enjoyed having a place to sit outside in the yard. Light sleepers might have trouble with noise of the Barbizon main road reaching the appartment early in the morning.
Thank u very much!
The small apartment on the first floor is a quiet and cozy place with everything we needed for our stay in Barbizon.
The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well staffed and the bathroom is clean and has a nice shower. We did not miss a thing.
The hosts are very welcoming and showed us around and even invited us to a Finissage in the galerie they run.
You cannot stay more central in Barbizon, an excellent Boulangerie is just couples of minutes away by foot and so are a lot of good restaurants.
We'd definitely come back for our next stay in the area. Thank you for having us.
A very nice and charming appartment in the middle of the fantastic village of Barbizon. The appartment is relatively small but the space is well utilized and you have everything you need there. The location is nice in the middle of Barbuzon, some traffic but not disturbing. Close to sevwral restaurants, bakery, a small shop and pharmacy. Further, the beautiful forrest of Fontainebleau is within walking diatance. The host is very friendly, helpfull and speaks good wnglish. Recomended!

thank you for your good appreciation of our location. We are happy that you were satisfied.
This rental was perfect for our monthlong stay in Barbizon. Right in the middle of main street through town, close to the market, bakery, cheese shop, butcher, cafes, restaurants, bakery-- basically, everywhere you'd need to go. The forest is at the end of the street-- perfect location for climbers -- and there's even a vegetarian cafe a few doors down that rents crash pads!
The apartment is even more spacious and charming than it looks in the pictures. It's easy to get to Fontainebleau by bus, though reserving a taxi to get to Paris can be tricky. Fortunately for us, Mme. and M. Chabert were very helpful hosts, not only finding us an Uber driver but even calling him for us to make sure there was no miscommunication! We'd definitely rent with them next time we come to climb!
Zeer charmant huisje in het mooie dorpje Barbizon. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Host/hostess spreken goed Engels. Viel wel op dat de straat voor het huisje in de nacht (weekend) toch druk was en er zeer snel werd gereden. Maar dat is misschien toeval. Parkeren kan voor de deur. Super.
