Our home, fondly called Skipping Stones, is located just 1.5 miles from Lakeside, MT on beautiful Flathead Lake with over 100' of private beach frontage and a private dock. Skipping Stones is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home built on 2 levels. The main floor has two bedrooms, both with queen beds, and one full bath with the kitchen and living area that walks out to a covered porch and a large open deck with seating for eight with a grill for outdoor barbeques. The kitchen is simple and clean, it comes equipped with cookware, dishes, glassware, a bar setup, silverware, and cooking utensils. There is a fridge, a new electric range, dishwasher, and microwave, as well as a Keurig coffee maker with pods or normal coffee maker and grinder. The lake level floor has two larger bedrooms, one king and one queen, each with their own bathroom and private entrances that walk out to the lake and a large open deck with seating. The beach has a designated fire pit that is available most of the year with firewood onsite available for purchase by the bundle. For your enjoyment a pedal boat that seats 4 is yours to enjoy during your stay. We have 4 adult life jackets as well as a variety of kids life jackets.
This cozy lakefront home offers great views of Glacier Park, Big Mountain, and the Swan Mountain range. Skipping Stones is surrounded by mature pine and fir trees offering great privacy.
Immediate recreation opportunities include swimming in Flathead Lake, boating, and fishing out your front door. Otherwise, we are just minutes from Lakeside and Blacktail Recreation area. We are about 15-20 minutes from Kalispell and Bigfork, 30 minutes to Glacier International Airport, and 50 minutes from Glacier National Park.
There are hundreds of hiking opportunities from Blacktail to the Jewel Basin and to Glacier Park. If huckleberries are what you're after, ask your hosts for where and when to pick them. Kalispell is 45 minutes from nine world class golf courses.
Locally we have boat rentals, fishing charters, and bike rentals.
Wildlife sightings from the property include deer, ducks, geese, and a variety of other birds. The large Ponderosa Pine in front is a frequent landing spot for bald eagles and golden eagles.
