You will find comfort and privacy in this secluded, two-acre refuge. The main living area is spacious with its open loft, high ceiling and two-story stone fireplace. Relax in the leather seating with recliners as you enjoy the fresh mountain breeze and sunshine. To fully experience the serenity of the Smokies, open the French doors from the dining room for access to the large deck. Stretch out on the swing as you watch the east fork of Conley's Creek cascade through the property. The deck has ample seating as well as a gas grill.

Beautiful home with creek.

Beautiful Cascading Mountain Stream - Great Sleep!

This property located in rural, mountainous terrain about 7 miles off major highways. Easy access all on paved roads with paved drive as well. Upon arrival to property you’ll notice well manicured landscape and clean, presentable home. The minute the car doors open you’ll be welcomed by the sound of a rushing mountain stream to be viewed just outside the windows during your entire stay! Beautiful fire pit with firewood and seating. Only negative was master bed definitely need’s replaced. Everything else perfect!

Perfect getaway

This secluded mountain home is perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of the everyday grind. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and it exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful and comfortable, the stream out back and the game room were great ways to enjoy ourselves. Not to mention the location being within an hour driving distance to just about everything we wanted to get out and explore. I would highly recommend this location and my family looks forward to our next trip

A wonderful home

I loved everything this home had to offer. All of the amenities were amazing, and easily utilized. The fire place is beautiful, so is the whole living area. The deck is extensive with plenty of room. The waterfall is a blessing to the home! This was our second rental on this home, and I see us renting again. Easy booking, simple check in, very direct directions to the location. This place is wonderful!!

The property is lovely and very clean. Our only complaint was there was no gas available for the gas grill, only two empty canisters and an unclean grill. We realize things happen and we were able to use the stove inside so all went well.

Peaceful retreat

We have been to Tranquility 7 or 8 times now. It gives us a home from which to sustain our relationship with our former mountain home. We love it for that. We also love the game room where we play ping pong after dinner, the deck overlooking the beautiful creek rapids with its porch swing, and the fire pit in the back yard for after dinner reverie. We love the house and its location. We will probably return as long as we make our semi-annual trips to the mountains.

Idyllic setting, but very slow internet

The location, minutes from Cherokee, Bryson City and the Great Smokey National Park is ideal. The setting is like a fairy land, with a waterfall and rapids just a few short yards from the deck. Truly spectacular! The only problem was the v-e-r-y s-l-o-w Internet. Seriously, download speeds just under 1 Mbps; upload 0.35 Mbps. This is about the speed of dial up Internet from a generation ago. I brought our Apple TV, hoping we might be able to live stream movies. Not a chance. You might ask, “If you’re in a pristine location, close to so many outdoor activities, why would Internet speed be a big deal?” Well, my wife and I are in our mid-70’s. We just like to escape the dog days of Florida summers and head for the mountains. Aside from a few sight-seeing adventures, we enjoy activities which are pretty much the same as our routines back home, many of which require high speed Internet access (e.g. minimum download speeds of 25 Mbps). Aside from that one issue, we would certainly return. The venue is clean and very comfortable. Welcome touches included a bundle of firewood for the firepit that is a few feet from the aforementioned waterfall, pool and ping-pong tables, a large screen TV and a reasonably well-equipped kitchen. We left a list of suggested, minor improvement for the owners. We enjoyed a wonderful week in the mountains, particularly being lulled to sleep, listening to the waterfall, with temperatures that welcomed open windows in August. Tip: when suggesting that entry instructions be printed prior to attempting to enter the key code, take note! We neglected to take this advice and had to drive down to where we could access a Verizon cell signal to get the instructions. In addition to lousy Internet, there was no cell service. (Although a VOIP telephone is provided.)

Peaceful and Cozy

We have stayed at this property several times now and we always enjoy it. The back porch facing the creek and waterfall is the highlight. This time the owner has updated the living room with beautiful new sectional couch. Kitchen is well equipped and beds are super comfy. We hope to stay here many more times in the future. We love everything about this cabin.

Peaceful and comfy

This is our third year staying at this cabin. We love the porch and the view of the waterfall (and the sound!)The home is comfortable and well appointed. Very easy to prepare meals in the kitchen. Nice grill. And the beds are so comfortable! It’s a bit out of the way, but we like the privacy. Go 20 min in either direction and you are right back to all the fun activities the area is known for.

Dream House with Private Waterfalls

This is our second time staying at the Tranquility Falls home and we loved it every bit as much as the first time. The private waterfalls and creek in the backyard were amazing. Sipping coffee in the early morning on the quiet wraparound deck while taking in the waterfalls and lush green landscapes all around was priceless. Unwinding next to the fire pit with a glass of wine at night was so relaxing. We had everything we needed in this house. The host was meticulous, paying attention to details, posting how-to instructions next to many things, even labeling light switches, etc. The location was central to many places we wanted to go: Deep Creek tubing, Cherokee, Oconaluftee Island Park, Mingo Falls to the north, Fontana Dam, Fontana Lake, Nantahala River rafting to the west, Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls to the east, and the quaint, charming town of Highlands with its many waterfalls to the south. We would love to stay here again!

Peaceful, clean and gorgeous property

If you are looking to reset, be present in nature and to relax on a peaceful property this is the place for you. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how clean everything was. The beds and living room furniture were all super comfy! There were toiletries provided which was wonderful, allowing us to rest after a long drive and go to the grocery store the following day. There are clear instructions in a notebook with emergency contacts as well as local grocery stores ect listed. The sounds of the creek fill the house and the views from the living room, kitchen and dining area of the creek are spectacular. We felt safe at this property as well. Fire pit, grill, porch swings and patio furniture were all very well maintained and all in working condition . This location is perfect as it’s close to Bryson City (we loved this town), Sylva and the Smokey mountains. With all the fun things to do in the game room, darts, pool table and ping pong, explore the creek, fire pit, we truly would have been happy just relaxing and staying in. Many fun trails/hikes and areas to explore are close by. Our family will always cherish our time at this home and we definitely plan to book again. Our absolute favorite part, it snowed in March, and our kids saw snow for the first time. A big thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful and tranquil home with our family!

Lovely Mountain Home

We've been to Tranquility Falls numerous times and have always enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, with the bonus of a game room with ping-pong table. The house is situated on a lovely creek and has a deck overlooking the creek with porch swing and rocking chairs, grill and picnic table. It's simply a lovely place from which to access all the attractions of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and surrounding mountain towns.
